Recommend this hotel. Our only reservation was the check in which was not very welcoming/helpful on this occasion. Restaurant staff were exceptionally good which made up for this.

Going for a hen party we wanted be close to the town centre, which staying here it is only a few minutes walk away from all the pubs, clubs, shops, restaurants etc but far enough away that its not noisy. The staff are lovely and very friendly! Rooms are spacious and clean, the only thing i can say is we arrived at 14:30 when check in is after 14:00 and 1 out of the 5 rooms weren't ready as the maid was still in there but we can't really complain as the guests who were staying in there only had to wait about 5 minutes for her to finish. Overall I would recommend this hotel, if u want a friendly atmosphere and close to everything u can't go far wrong here.

The staff are excellent - welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast excellent.
My one complaint is the wifi charges. This is not simply that you charge for wifi, but you charge so much - GBP 5.00 per hour is exorbitant. I can go to the pub over the road and get free wifi.
It is time H Inn dropped this policy. I will not stay again in H Inn until these exorbitant charges are dropped.

Well located the hotel bar provided a great venue for an informal meeting, the check in was smooth and the staff able to sort out a map and directions to our evening restaurant, print out a boarding pass for flights the next day and organise onward travel. Just what you need on a long business trip. On the downside the rooms are a bit compact but have all the facilities in good working order and a quiet nights sleep. Definitely recommend for the staff alone!

Cardiff is a lovely city and the Holiday Inn was ideally located. Staff very helpful and friendly. Couldb't fault the dinner and breakfast. Excellent.

Bedroom was excellent with marvellous view of Castle Park
No traffic noise
Bathroom however was much too small and in dire need of attention and maintenance of fittings

A very unsettled night in a very small, very dated and very uncomfortable room where the mattress was far too soft and the pillows very hard (despite having a 'soft' label on) and it was way too hot.
The bar was very expensive at nearly £2 for a glass of post-mix coke and nearly £5 for a small glass of Blossom Hill wine.
The food was ok but nothing special, the breakfast was extremely expensive at £13.95 for an average full English (black pudding and fried eggs were inedible after being under the lamps for so long), there was a continental selection and cereals as per the norm but all in all I felt it was a rip-off!
The only positive comments I would make about this hotel are that the staff were pleasant and you can park in the center of Cardiff.
