Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Service Made a booking for Myself and my colleague and we stayed here during our business in Cardiff and I will be using alternative hotel next time. No recognition of Platinum status, no offer of room upgrade for either of us and find out their are only 8 exec rooms here hence will not book here again. Was offered an executive pack when I queried the lack of room upgrade....this never arrived! phoned to chase and an hour later nothing had arrived so chased again and was brought a bottle of water! Left it there. 2 night stay and did not get my room serviced and queried this again with receptionand nothing happened, no fresh towels, tea coffee etc brought up or offer of the room to be serviced Food was dissapointing, breakfast not bad at all but the steak at dinner was major dissapointment full of fat as have had this at many HI before and had superb sirloin recently in Gloucester and Filton but was such a let down in Cardiff. Bar staff and restaurant staff were very good and had great sense of humour and good service. After my the terribly poor service received the 2 days before at the M4 Juuction 32 HI was not expectiong this again from HI and IHG in Cardiff City Centre. I have a lot of buisiness to do in Cardiff personnally and our company and will not be recommending this hotel or the M4 J32 HI either November 19, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast, Cleanliness needs imporvement Hi, I have already given my feedback at the time of stay but will highlight few things for example: 1.) Lift (somebody was sick and made it dirty): When I went to take lift onto my 5th floor as soon as I enter the lift was dirty (vomit) and very stinking. I informed the reception and she said it would be cleaned up. Too my surprised I believe someone should have done immediately (don't blame reception) as she was alone serving customer. I waited for another lift for nearly about 10 mins very annoyed. 2.) I being pure vegeterian, I had not much option for the fact I tried hash browns and it looks like it was not fresh or properly cooked / baked / toasted whatever you call.I told this at the time of checkout. 3.) People has left the utensils (after dinner / lunch / breakfast) near the lift with few foods leftover sounds very ugly and not correct. After coming out of lift atleast during my stay on 1st night i.e. 12th Nov it had bad odours after coming out of lift. I believe / assume this is not often but being a first time experiencer for my business tour (which is going to often in future) didn't had pleasant experience. In addition to that I have given my IHG Club member number : 368605602 but still can't see my points added to it which i gave at the time of booking + checkin. Can you ensure its has been added. I have already raised missing claims point for this visit. To confirm being a club member i had free access to WI-FI as well Regards Rahul November 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wifes 60 birthday last stop of a long weekend the staff upon arriving at the hotel were great and very friendly the room was comfortable and very clean a very nice touch was a birthday card bottle of wine and a small box of chocolate's waiting for my wife when we entered the room balloons. we had booked a table for dinner and on arriving at the restaurant we were shown to a table all set up for her birthday the staff were brilliant, will stay there again on our next trip in February. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location in Cardiff Visited Cardiff to attend the Rugby at Millennium Stadium. The Holiday Inn is literally right next door so makes for easy access to the stadium. The hotel is good quality and good value. The rooms were a good size and comfortable for my stay. A recommended hotel if visiting Cardiff especially for sporting events at the stadium. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff, Tired Hotel I have just stayed for 6 weeks in the Holiday Inn Cardiff centre, The staff were faultless, always friendly, polite, and helpful. The location of the hotel is also very good. Now the downsides, the rooms on the Castle side are very noisy sound proofing required not earplugs!, the shower in my room barely worked, and the bathroom was tiny,also couldnt get room below 20° as the cooling part of the aircon was off. and then we get to the so called high speed internet - its just not,its also very expensive. just get the feeling that because the hotel is always busy they feel that they dont need to improve it. This hotel could be a great hotel with a little work. November 9, 2014

It was our 5 month old baby's first stay in a hotel and all their attention to detail made it a very relaxing experience. I appreciated not having to pay for the car park. Top marks all round!
