Stayed at this hotel for the first time in a couple of years and was disappointed to see nothing had changed.
The hotel had a great location in the city centre and looks good when you walk in and the public areas are fine however the rooms need a serious makeover as the room I had was no different to the decor and standard I first experienced 10 yrs ago. This was a standard room so the exec rooms might be better but it was very small and basic and in need of a lick of paint at the very minimum, particularly the bathroom where I almost had to step over the toilet to get into the bath / shower. The room and bathroom were clean though.
So if your going to be spending a lot of time in the room dont stay here.
Staff were fine and helpful aside from forgetting about the requested express checkout.
There is much better value for similar prices in Cardiff City Centre.

Recommend this hotel. Our only reservation was the check in which was not very welcoming/helpful on this occasion. Restaurant staff were exceptionally good which made up for this.

Going for a hen party we wanted be close to the town centre, which staying here it is only a few minutes walk away from all the pubs, clubs, shops, restaurants etc but far enough away that its not noisy. The staff are lovely and very friendly! Rooms are spacious and clean, the only thing i can say is we arrived at 14:30 when check in is after 14:00 and 1 out of the 5 rooms weren't ready as the maid was still in there but we can't really complain as the guests who were staying in there only had to wait about 5 minutes for her to finish. Overall I would recommend this hotel, if u want a friendly atmosphere and close to everything u can't go far wrong here.
