- As a platinum member, I was only asked if I wanted a bottled water. The room was missing an exterior room number. Yes. Room 118. The door wouldn't shut properly. Had to hold the handle down for the toilet to flush. Internet didn't work. TV reception was sporadic. AC made excessive noise. Excessive cleaner was used to mask a weird smell, probably a previously overflow of the toilet. One hostess had to handle both the lounge and the dining. The cook had his (non employee) friends visiting the kitchen, and had the nerve to change the TV channel to suit their desire. The list goes on. This place lacks management and professionalism.

I arrived late in the evening after an all day event nearby. The entrance to the hotel was not obvious as it looks like you are turning into a restaurant and there should be another entrance farther down the road (there isn't). The staff was nice and pleasant to interact with, but when I got to my room it was far below the standard I've experienced and come to expect with the Holiday Inn brand. There was a mini fridge just sitting randomly off in one corner (I guess so they can advertise that amenity). The bathroom was so small that the door literally scraped the toilet when opening or closing it! Other little things were missing too - a cable channel guide or hotel info booklet, for example. The mattresses were not as comfortable as I've come to expect at a Holiday Inn, though not too terrible, and the pillows were up to standards. The free breakfast in the morning is held in the attached restaurant. I hope it is not representative of the quality of food served during normal hours in the restaurant, as it lacked variety, a lot of items were already gone, and the remainder of the food was low quality.
Overall, this was a disappointing stay. You cannot simply put a flat screen in each room, throw a mini fridge in the corner, slap a new shower rod and curtain in the bathroom, put a new sign out front and expect it to hold up to the standard of the rest of the hotels we've stayed in.
