Although not in the prettiest section of Charleston, King Street is just a short walk away. Comfortable rooms and a very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast buffet included in the room rate was a notch above most. A very good value especially during busy times in Charleston when other properties jack up their rates to ridiculous heights.

Spent several nights here during Thanksgiving week, exploring Charleston with my family. Great location walked to the historic district, trolley was available but weather was too nice not to walk. Staff was great from the time we arrived until we checked out. Rooms were fantastic, clean and comfortable. Desk staff made several restaurant suggestions and all were perfect. Will be back, but will stay longer

We picked this hotel because we are IHG members and wanted the points. It is at the end of the Trolley line, but the walk was easy even to walk all the way downtown to the Market. The restaurants on King St. are close. The hotel itself is new and clean. The valet parking costs each day, but it was easy in and out. The neighborhood itself is in the process of reclamation, but that posed no problem. If you are looking for Charleston old-time flavor this hotel will not provide it, being new architectural style and far from the older building. Great value, however.

I requested on checkout that my car be brought round and assistance with baggage. I waited about 20 minutes and had to place another call to the front desk. The young man who responded said the car had been at the curb for about 20 min but no one told him that assistance was requested with baggage.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by brandloyalty2014 Terrible place to stay!!
Harassed by the valet because we legally parked on the street and did not use his service. He started citing all kinds of rules that do not exist so that we would use valet so he can make a tip.
Quality of food and beverage in the restaurant for breakfast was severely below standard.
Service in the restaurant was terrible. We did receive good service in the restaurant the first day we had breakfast but the food was horrid.
Room has a mini fridge that sounds like a pigeon. Makes a continuous noise and does not allow for a good night's sleep.
Was told the hotel was in very close proximity and walking distance (two blocks) from the center of attractions, meaning the Pineapple Fountain. This is not the case. I found the explanation to be very disingenuous.
Front desk staff (gentlemen) are not polished at all and their uniforms are wrinkled and lousy at best.
Just an overall terrible experience. Checked out early due to the poor quality of service and noise in room.

We stayed here because of the close proximity to family and downtown area. Fairly new hotel, and we upgraded to a King Suite (were given an accessible room). Great staff service and room. Only downside was the street noise and accessible features (ie. closets, shower, etc).

Will stay again in the future, truly enjoyed our visit. A little cold out, but the kids loved the heated salt water pool.
