Had a great time in Charleston and the hotel was centrally located for us.

If I had to do it all over again, I would never ever consider this property. Several issues with the amenities in the room including a very noisy refrigerator. Front desk was informed and nothing was done about it. Management was rude to a point of ignoring any and all comments and was not willing to fix and compensate to satisfaction for the issues that were caused by themselves and the staff. Restaurant service was virtually non-existent. Valet was aggressive and did not respect the status of Disabled Veteran and was forcing us to park with Valet to get tips rather than allowing us to exercise other options which were better for our disabilities. Not a good place to stay. Was not respected as a US Veteran. Best to stay away altogether. Not near the major attractions as the front desk will claim it is.

Hotel is good value. Location is excellent, downtown Charleston, walking distance from restaurants, shopping and many other attractions. Staff was friendly, helpful and quick. A minor issue with the bill was settled quickly and pleasantly. Restaurant on the premises is a plus though I admit that the restaurant's version of a reuben sandwich is peculiar (would suggest to go back to the traditional reuben or not at all). However selection of beer was excellent. Only negative comment is the absence of parking, leaving one with only expensive valet parking option. If not on the premises, reasonable parking in the area should be made available for guests.
