After a long evening the bed felt good. There was no hall noise but this was probably due to a hall area in our room when you opened the door. March 23, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by All Holiday Inns are NOT created equal I chose this Holiday Inn because I have stayed at Holiday Inns all over and always select them first if I can. I assumed I would be able to get more rest at this hotel as opposed to some of the motels closer to the UVA medical center. I was wrong. I understand the hotel is undergoing renovations, but there are deficiencies in the quality of the building for which their renovation plans did not include. The hotel was clean and the housekeeping staff was nice. The food quality and service in the restaurant were more than adequate and prices were reasonable. However, management needs to focus on training and retraining the front desk staff. First, they need to be on the same page as the UVA Hospital with the hospital rate. The social worker told us one price but then the night clerk told me a higher price. The next day, another clerk quoted the same as the social worker. I ended up getting charged for the room twice, at least fortunately at the correct rate, which would have gone unnoticed had I not looked at my credit card statement. This was corrected by a quick follow up call to the hotel. Overall, this hotel has potential and, with some moderate changes and installation of new guest doors (which do not slam as they are let go when the guest leaves), I believe it could lead to a more restful, enjoyable experience for a 3-STAR HOTEL.
