Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Updating and a good cleaning This property is not up to par with the Holiday Inn experience. The bathroom was dirty, the carpets need replacing, the TV is old. The place is generally very outdated. The staff do the best they can with what they have, but the bathrooms need a good cleaning. The pool is very nice. It is a good location, but there are other Holiday Inns in Charlottesville that I would try, rather than stay at this one. September 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service uncomfortable bed. The staff and their service was very good. The bed was most uncomfortable. The food was alright. While the room and bath were both clean, they were old. I was really happy that the room did not have a cigarette odor as so many places do even though they are supposed to be a non-smoking establishment. September 12, 2014

The sheets were worn and appeared as if they were not fresh. hairs were found in between the sheets. Black mold and mildew covered the shower curtain liner. Overall, we were very disappointed. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff, Beautiful Room, Spotlessly Clean The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The king room was very spacious and had just been beautifully renovated. The bathroom was also beautifully renovated and is luxurious and modern. Both were spotlessly clean. We ate at the on-site restaurant and were very pleased with the food and the service. Overall, just a fantastic stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Monticello.
