Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nicely maintained property This hotel is far from new, but they've done a very good job maintaining it and keeping it modern and appealing. Check-in lacked customary hotel hospitality, but it was fine and efficient. Room was nice and comfortable with a very nice modern, appealing bathroom. Breakfast and service in the restaurant was quite good - we were the only customers for most of the time there. Location is very convenient to both downtown C'ville and Monticello - right off I-64. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel for the Price This hotel has been recently updated and is nicely appointed as well as close to the highway. Proximity to the highway can be an advantage (as it was for us). However, keep in mind there is some road noise if your room is stationed on the highway side. Front desk staff was cursory and did not smile (even once). That aside, room was very nice, hallways were fairly quiet, bed had great pillows labeled "soft" and firm" (nice touch), mattress is firm, wifi worked well. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good; with exceptional service, excellent food choices and quality, and willingness to substitute an item with no questions asked. 4/5 stars with the full point only for the front desk "unhospitality" and that we feel the first and last impression is what sets the stage for a perfect or not-so-perfect stay.
