The folks at the front desk were very nice and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Very pleasant stay. Gave me free coffee in the morning.

The hotel has been totally renovated and is clean, new looking and comfortable. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and very accomodating with directions and places to dine. Great location for visiting Monticello-only 5 to 10 minutes away - and easy on/off to interstate.

The remodel of the rooms is great, However, The new bathroom door leaves a lot to be desired. It's see trough. I know this because while my wife is in the bathroom, our 4 years old grandson was sitting out side on the floor watching her.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Barb222 Clean, comfortable, happy atmosphere.
We traveled to Virginia from Maryland, and when we arrived, we received excellent service.
My nephew's wedding reception was ejoyable, with plenty of good food, service and music. The staff went out of their way to be helpful.
This hotel has a happy atmosphere, and the staff are cheerful. This was an overall good experience.

I called to make reservations for a wheelchair accessible room with bars around the toilet. I was told I would have that and the room would have 2 queen beds, and that my room was guaranteed. I got none of that.
We had an inaccessible room, no bars around the toilet, and a king bed.
There were three of us, so we had a cot.
Our daughter could not use the sink or the toilet.

The newly renovated rooms on the 2nd floor were much better to stay in, we had issues on the 5th floor which has yet to be touched by the new room designs.
The staff was friendly and accommodating especially without our 1st night issues, as well as courteous throughout. The restaurant was "okay" for breakfast, nothing special and certainly not something that was worth paying those prices for. It is convenient when staying over, but nothing to rave about. The rest staff was friendly tho, and that made eating there pleasant.
This hotel is so close to Monticello and Monroe's home so the convenience is wonderful and easy, and for that I would refer this hotel. It's right of 64 and so close to a CVS and downtown (UVA) which had great dining options.

This is by far the worst Holiday Inn Property that I have stayed at. The staff is rude and treats platinum members poorly. The parking lot is dark. This is one hotel that Holiday Inn should replace. Even the remodeled rooms are of poor quality and not very clean. I will be staying someplace else the next time I come to Charlottesville VA. . I average 200+ nights per year With Holiday Inn and most stays are enjoyable. This hotel is a exception.
Thanks
David
