Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Deceptive "Best For Breakfast" Rate I booked the Best For Breakfast Rate with Points and was given a voucher which was insufficient for two average breakfasts. (I tried to post a review with the voucher amount, but it was rejected because it "stated specific dollar amounts," even though a simiilar recent review contained "specific dollar amounts" and was accepted for posting.) The rate description is deceptive. Nowhere in the rate description is the dollar amount of the voucher listed. I will never book this rate again and recommend that no one else book it. It is NOT a good value. As a Platinum Rewards Club member, I used to receive complimentary breakfasts at Holiday Inns (as I still do at other hotel chains). Removal of that benefit is incentive to stay elsewhere where complimentary breakfast is still provided to their top tier guests. Since breakfast is usually the highest profit margin meal for a restaurant, Holiday Inn brand should reconsider reinstating complimentary breakfasts for Platinum level Rewards Club members. It costs relatively little and is a much appreciated perk. December 21, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Must complain about the breakfast Look At The Pictures! That's All what you can get when you spend over $20 for breakfast. OK I should say that I booked my stay with breakfast for two included ($10 more than base rate). However, breakfast is Not included! The front desk only gave me a voucher for $20, but unfortunately, the Cheapest breakfast buffet for two is already above $20. Let's see what you can get from the buffet? See my first picture. See the table with red tablecloth? That's all what the buffet provides. See my second picture, that's all you can get. No milk/yogurt, no fruits. The breakfast is terrible. A $5 subway or McDonald would be better. One more thing about this on-site restaurant, Red Hot & Blue. As a IHG Platinum member, I was offered two free drink vouchers when I checked in. I tried to order a cocktail from their menu, and the waiter told me that she could only give me the most basic cocktail for the voucher. Oh now I really regret for tipping her. I stayed three holiday inn (or express) properties during my winter trip. This one was the most expensive but the least satisfactory. December 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Customer Service Customer Service from the time I arrived until the time I left was excellent. Everyone I encountered acted like they wanted to be there and wanted to help. I was not impressed with my comfort of sleep, but that could have just been the room that I was in. When you check in you are told that there is a continental breakfast, but you don't find out until you go downstairs in the morning that it actually cost over $7 and has less on it then most other free breakfast at Holiday Inns. I will be returning in two weeks and will be able to write a more detailed review. December 16, 2014
