Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, Comfortable Hotel I stayed here during a weekend trip to Chicago and was pleased with the overall experience. The area is expensive, but the hotel was a good value. The walkway between the hotel and Merchandise Mart was extremely convenient and a huge perk for winter stays (no need to go outside to catch the L). The staff were very kind and accommodating. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AVOID AT ALL COSTS I arrived to check in promptly at 3pm as recommended. The credit card on file had yet to be charged, and upon finding this out I was berated (by a manager) and treated as if I were a criminal!She raised her voice, rolled her eyes... At one point the woman helping me walked away mid conversation and left me alone at a desk for almost 15 minutes with no explanation. It was an hour before I was let into my room, and I still have no idea why. My room was dirty when I arrived, the office chair had a strange crusty white substance splattered all over, and a lipstick rimmed glass was in the bathroom. Room service took 2 hours to arrive, and when it did the order was incomplete and cold. Your hotel RUINED what should have been a relaxing visit to Chicago. Thanks a lot! April 28, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful Staff and very clean room Overall, our stay was quite nice with helpful, courteous staff and an immaculate room. A couple of glitches, however. We chose the mobility handicapped room because I use a wheelchair. The bathroom/shower are were adequate size and configuration, but the toilet was not ADA height(very low) and the under-the-sink are was not open for a person in a wheelchair to roll under. Additionally, it took 3 tries to get the parking validation process to work. This meant going to the car, not being able to get out, having to re-park, get another pass, etc. 3 times! April 23, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Overcharged Overall the hotel is clean with a nice pool for the kids. The problem is that I was charged for a room when I had a free Priority Club Rewards Night. And they refuse to credit back my credit card for the stay. I only should have been charged for parking. They claimed to have it fixed at checkout but its not and I am tired of calling the hotel to see where my money is. Also the thermostat did not work in the room so it was very hot in the room in the morning. April 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and good service The room was large and comfortable, the service was good, and it was convenient to have the conference session rooms nearby. It was also convenient having the shops and food of the Merchandise Mart accessible without going outside. But, the location of the hotel is too far away from such attractions as the Art Institute, and the awkwardness of the elevator system, requiring one to change elevators in different locations, makes for a trying experience.
