I stayed for one night and for the price, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I had stayed in a different hotel the night before for a lot less money and it was a lot cleaner and quieter. Our drapes wouldn't close so the city lights bother my husband and I and the sun came in first thing in the morning. We tried to close them but there wasn't a track to be able to close them. The pillows were comfortable.

We had a group of almost 80 people and the staff was very accommodating, especially the Bar Louie restaurant and Jennifer, the day manager.
The hotel gave our group a great deal, and the space was good. We had to remind the staff several times to empty the garbage in the meeting room and refill the water jars.
Through no real fault of the hotel, the phones in the rooms, and subsequently the ATM were down all weekend.

This hotel seemed very high priced in comparison to many others I have stayed. The decor of the hotel as well as the room seems old, worn and in need of updates. The room was clean but some of the lighting did not work. After traveling for 20 hours from Bangkok, Thailand to Hong Kong and then to Chicago and through customs and immigration I had hoped for a bit nicer. What I got was very generic 1970's Holiday Inn at an escalated price due to the fact it is near a major airport!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They told us to wait inside for the shuttle driver since it was so cold (4 degrees F). The station for the CTA transit was right across the street but the shuttle dropped us off there due to the cold. Once we knew it was so close we walked every other time. We went up for a concert and didn't get back until late... good luck getting any food delivered after 2am. Most pizza places were closed by 2am on a Friday and others wouldn't deliver to the hotel's location. So we went to sleep and woke up early for the breakfast, not complimentary, which was fine, we paid for the buffet, some of it seemed like it had been there for a little while but they quickly brought out fresh french toast and sausage before we even had to ask. The main thing I was disappointed in was the shower. Very low water pressure for showering. You turn it on and water poured out but once you turned the lever to the shower head it was a drizzle. I could stand under and get my hair wet but no water was hitting the rest of my body. Very disappointing and not made for a romantic time. We didn't say anything about the shower to front desk. we aren't ones to complain and figured it is what it is. Parking is FREE :) and felt my vehicle was safe, had no trouble finding a spot. after the aquarium, concert and CTA traveling all day it was nice to get back to the room, relax and watch whatever we found interesting on the TV until we fell asleep.

I have stayed at this property many nights over the years. This time was awful. Room 825 had no phone service, the alarm clock wouldn't work, the sink was plugged up, and the sink was leaking. I get up and hit the road at 5:30 AM and return late. Since I couldn't even call the front desk, unless I took the time to stop at the front desk and complain, how could I get help to fix the room?
Basically, this hotel is getting too old to be comfortable. Even the cleaning staff misses stuff now (like only one soap bar in the bathroom both days during this stay), the beds are tired and the AC wouldn't work correctly.
I sure hope this property can get some needed TLC.
