Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cost of room In this area there are only 2 hotels. It is quite pricey due to this fact. Other than that the room was clean and the service was good. No microwave in room which would have been nice and no refrigerator either. This is out of the ordinary for other Holiday Inns I have stayed at, so they need to upgrade those things. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good deal The property is in a great location for visiting the area. The price is OK, too. The restaurant is OK ... there are not many alternatives in the area. The room was fine except for some loud banging noises ... seemed to be caused by the plumbing system. The staff was correct at check-in. At checkout the staff member chose to take a phone call during my checkout instead of completing my transaction and so he was not able to get my feedback and I found this to be rude. Recommendable. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worn out bed Considering the size of the community and remote location the hotel meet or exceeded out expectations in every respect EXCEPT the mattress was worn out and must be replaced. By the time we discovered it , it was to late to request a different room. Every thing else including its unique character and staff exceeded our expectations. November 13, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by On Navajo Reservation, centrally located There were few choices in lodging near the Canyon de Chelly. This Holiday Inn's entrance wasn't clearly marked. We arrived at night and it was dark. Finding the entrance took a few minutes following quite a bit of travel to arrive at this destination. The food was a very big disappointment. Dinner was hardly edible, leftover from a previous day or two. Considering most visitors were from other time zones, there wasn't much interest in providing coffee service or other food items for guests who woke early or arrived late. Not welcoming. Jason at the front desk was a breath of fresh air and very helpful. They gave us a card with our points but it in no way was accurate. Decided against discussing it at this location. We stayed at a Holiday Inn in Phoenix near the airport and it was a totally different experience. We will return to the Phoenix Holiday Inn. November 6, 2014
