I booked a hotel with my reward night for my parents on Valentine's Day. On the day of check in, front desk said, there is no acommodation for them. My father had waited for 5 hrs at the hotel, tried to figure out what's goin on. On the other hand the front desk did not bother to check w IHG reservation. They should have called them first and verify the reservation # of my father to see it's active, on why it's not showing on their system.
Rather than saying point blank, we cant help you, no reservation on file.
After 4x of calling IHG they they fixed the problem.
Lots of time was wasted.
They also overcharged me for a restaurant bill, that my parents did not dine in. I emailed the hotel 5 times and again, no response.
Prior at check in , I also submitted a cc authorization that I will be responsible for all the charges and emailed it 4 times. The hotel said, they did not recieve it.
This is the first time, I stayed at Holiday Inn, that has a fail communication in the front desk.
Goodluck for someone like me who lives overseas and just want my Parents to have a great day on Valentines and it turned out to be disaster.

I always enjoy and look forward to my visits to the Holiday Inn Clark. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodations are always excellent.

I am generally happy with my stay from 4 to 7 February. Staff were friendly. Check-in and check-out were efficient. Wi-fi had good speed generally. Some friendly suggestions for management's consideration :
(a# The floor at the shower area in my room - 455 - was not flat, resulting in a lot of water being unable to drain.
#b# The position of the telephone in the toilet was improper. I inadvertently dislocated the handset from the socket #with my shoulder slightly touching it# after answering the call of nature and the handset dropped right into the WC before I flushed it.
#b# The thermostat in my room was not working properly.
Even after I set the temp at 30C the aircon continued to generate very cool air. As a result I had to shut down the aircon while sleeping at night, and from time to time during the day.
#c) In the dining room that served buffet breakfast, some waitors were more than efficient. On two days my full glass of juice was removed after I left the table to fetch food. On one particular day, my full glass of juice was removed twice and my full cup of tea and knife and fork once, while I was fetching food. The waitor probably thought I had finished breakfast when I left the table. But I was only just starting the breakfast when the glass of juice was first taken away, and on that day spent only a total of 15 minutes for the whole breakfast !

This hotel is the only international chain in the area and most guests are foreigners (Americans). The service is very good and the amenities are up to standard.
