I always look to this hotel as my first choice when I'm up in Northern NJ. The location is great, rooms are good, the front desk workers are top notch.
I had to stay in another Holiday Inn in NJ recently due to a full house at the Clark location and I really was missing this hotel.

While Staying at the Clark Holiday Inn for one night after my nephews Birthday party . WE packed our bags and left after a good nights rest. When I got home i noticed i had forgotten my Toiletry bag. I called the hotel and i told the front Desk manager about it and were i had left it . I asked him if he could mail it back to me and he said yes. This was the day before hurricane Sandy. I am happy to say I received it in the next few days after the storm with everything inside of it. I would defiantly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone else .

The staff is very helpful and courteous.
The rooms are large and comfortable, well equipped. 24 hour access to free computers in the lobby is a plus, and parking is convenient. Overall a good value.

Many problems were encountered!!!
They have removed ALL MICROWAVE OVENS and REFRIGERATORS from the guest rooms!
ICE MACHINES were NOT FUNCTIONING for the entire stay!
When sending staff to room --- they should make sure that they SPEAK ENGLISH!!!! Unable to communicate!
The BAR, LOUNGE and RESTAURANT are all in one big room with no dividers! VERY VERY LOUD - THE NOISE was so great that we could not carry a conversation! And, the service in the bar area was very poor!

I stayed at the newly refurbished Holiday Inn in Clark this past October.
The hotel is redone in a clean, modern motif. Common areas are bright and stylish. The hotel bar is lively and the adjoining dining room offers tasty meals. Service is good.
The staff is friendly and every need was answered with courtesy.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel location was convienient for our group destinations and to the highway (G.S.P.) which made for very easy arrival and departure.
Entire hotel renovation was pleasant.
All 3 rooms I booked for the group were clean and very adequite
for out needs.
My\wifes room was on the 1st floor, as requested due medical reasons, when we made reservations.
I am unable to comment on food & beverage as did not use this restaurant.

The night I stayed at this Holiday Inn a wedding party was at the same site and was extremely loud and troublesome. Someone pulled the fire alarm at 12:30am and we had to evacuate for about 30 minutes. On the way back to my room I complained at the front desk and they said they would turn the OUTSIDE music off. Outside music at 1am! At 1:30 my daughter went down to the front desk to complain about the hall noise and outside noise and all they offered to do was comp her room. I finally fell asleep at 3am! The Holiday Inn did comp us both rooms but that did not help our fatigue the next day as we attended a family function and drove home.

Our experience was great from the beginning. When I arrive at the train station at Westfield, I call to the hotel and wonder if they can help me because we need a taxi. They were so kind and helpful contacting the cab company and made the connect call instantly.
The hotel staff was very kind and pressional.Our room was very clean and confy. We were attending a wedding and give us a group discount.
They also book us a taxi to a ride to the La Guardia Airport (so far from the hotel) and get us a great taxi service (Andy's Limo).

On our first day at this hotel we returned after being away from the room (with the Do not disturb sign inside the room not outside) at roughly 10PM We found that the room had not been touched. No clean towles, no beds made, nothing even though when we left the room that morning there was cleaning staff working that hall. That tells us that your quality control for room cleaning is not all that good. The desk sent up bath towels and wash cloths when we called and asked for clean linen, but for the price paid, we should not have had to do that.

I really enjoyed having breakfast and dinners at the restaurant. The meals were delicious.
My room was spacious and clean.
The front desk personnel also were most helpful.
It was a most enjoyable stay.

Obviously, this is an older building that has been extensively renovated to the new upscale layout and decor that I'm thinking must be the model for future HI hotels.
The lobby/living/dining/bar area was beautiful. The staff was professional in appearance and behavior and were very welcoming.
The room was comfortable and well appointed. The bed was wonderful and five star hotel quality.
The only negative comment I can make about the room is that I wish they would have taken the time and spent a few extra dollars to remove the popcorn ceilings. I would have thought that perhaps this truly was a brand new hotel if not for this telltale sign.
But, overall, I was very pleased with this beautiful hotel.

My friend came in from Ohio late at night - we were heading to the Chowderfest down on Long Beach Island - stayed here for one night at the begining of our trip and at the end of the trip. Rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable - front desk personnel was very helpful. Also was able to reconnect with a friend who had not seen in 15 years or so while staying here.

Telejimmy Working Trip In New Jersey
Upon Checking in front desk person was very friendly and helpfull! Restaurants and shopping are within 1/2 mile and the Hotel is right off the #135 Exit of the Garden State Parkway.
New comfortable Mattress with a flat screen TV made Our choice very satisfying! We travel in this area about every 3 months or so from Florida and this was one of the best Hotels that we have stayed at! Will look forward to book again for Our Nov Trip! Good Value for the Money!

After a very long day and very tired, I checked in and got to a very clean room, it was late and the Bar, AKA The Hub was open and the food was great. This Hotel has 6 floors and a lot of rooms. When I drove up there where 3 buses full of people getting off to go in the hotel. I got in just before they did. For sure there were a lot of rooms.
so no need to worry. great place to stay, nice out door patio outside the Hub. Everyone should enjoy there stay.

I've stayed at Holiday Inn Clark on several occasions and it's always a pleasure. During my recent stay in September 2012, all the staff without exception were always pleasant, courteous, helpful and professional, and it was a pleasant surprise to be remembered by staff members Raheel and Ricoh. Always my favourite hotel to stay when in NJ.

I have stayed in this location twice now in 2 summers and it seems to be unlucky staying with a big party and peace and quiet at the wee hours is disturbing. Unlucky!

They were converting to holiday inn property from crown plaza. so there was construction that had to be avoided. They no longer had refrigerator in room. The space was not utilized efficiently.
