This property is very chopped up (not easily navigated) and dated (if you loved 1979 you'll love this property). It is not up the quality standards of Holiday Inn based upon my prior experiences with the brand.

Ceilings had paint peeling and falling down. Bird droppings all over the outside rails and look like it has never been cleaned up. Restaurant manager totally unprofessional . Yelling to customers throughout the restaurant. Simple billing requests were always a huge issue and not once was the first bill ever correct. Definitely will not stay there again. Would much rather stay at a hotel without the priority club rewards then to live in a pigpen like this hotel!

I admit, I chose this hotel based on the fact it was the best rate I found in the area and because they offered a military discount. I am Active duty and any business which recognizes military members gets my business.
The room had massive water stain damage on the ceiling which was obviously being covered by a very poor paint job. The bed sheets, upon close inspection, had small stains on them. There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom, only a heat lamp; so forget about using the mirror after you shower. The room had no safe, which is standard in almost all other hotels I stay at, to include other Holiday Inns.
The lobby, pool, and restaurant area look fabulous so I thought our room and immediate surrounding area would be nice as well, but it was not the case. The building itself was in slight disrepair as there were loose walking tiles, propped eaves allowing a massive bird colony to nest (and chirp when the sun came up!), and outside light fixtures missing illumination.
Based on my check in experience and observations, I feel that since I asked for a military rate and received a discount then I also got stuck in the farthest, most outdated corner of the hotel
Overall, for the price, it wasn't a terrible stay; but when I compare it to the hundreds of other stays I have had in recent months and years it was by far the most disappointing.

I think this is a great hotel, the place is super clean and the restaurant is great. The employees are very nice, and like working there.

The building was very old, dark hallways, small room, and steep steps up to the door. The upholstered furniture was so dirty we did not sit down on it. The coverlet on the bed was dirty. The bathroom was small with piles of dirt in the corners of the floor. I am a Priority Club member and did not receive my welcome snack upon arrival. I could have stayed at a budget hotel/motel in the area for at least 1/2 the price and perhaps it would have been clean.

This hotel is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The room was huge and there was plenty of things for my children to do while staying. This hotel is HUGE, you can walk around, sit in the lounge, sit beside the pool, etc. Plenty of places to sit and relax or just stay in your room. Will stay here again!!!

I walked in and thought wow! this place is really nice. Then got to my room and eh it was ok. I then got back to go up to my room on the third night and was locked out! then had to argue with the front dest for about 45 minutes before they got me back in my room. If it was not for that happening i would say it is a great place to stay for the money. The food is just ok but better then express breakfast. I would not have minded so much being locked out of my room as much as it was a pain it wouldn't have been so bad had they not argued with me when i pulled up my reservation right on my phone proving to them i booked all week. At that point it seems they would have just given me the key to the room where all my stuff still was and figured out there end of it while i was sleeping.

Room had a very nice view of a lake right outside our room, ducks and geese on our patio. very relaxing atmosphere, check in and lounge staff were very nice and friendly, and the rate was good for this area, we have stayed here before and will be back again real soon..

Was there for the Derby, so we expected very steep prices. The staff was great. Very polite and helpful. We would stay there again. Location was good. Easy to get to the city and other attractions.

We had a great 5 day vacation. Housekeeping was alittle off a couple of times. IE SLoppy bathroom clean up. But all in all We enjoyed our stay.

Over all the staff at this hotel were excellent. With the exception of the first evening, if I needed something it was provided on the spot. There was not an information book in the room about the hotel and its services. I ask the front desk as was told that the were locked up in housekeeping. I would think the logical thing to do would be to take a book out of an empty room and replace it the next morning. A young lady did give me a few pages out of it and the reasturant gave me a hard menu.
Outside of that the service was extreamly good and I would recommend it to anyone or a group like I was in.. We do this every year and would rank this hotel very well.

The air-conditioner in our room was not working properly making the room humid and uncomfortable. The hallways smelled horribly and the elevators were slow and small. The bathtub was not properly cleaned (if at all).

Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Kids loved the pool. The food was not very good and it took forever to bring it to us. We would have tried buffet but it was not ready and no one could tell us when it would be. Next morning we had the breakfast buffet. It was o.k. Nothing to get excited about. At least the service was better than the night before. All in all we will stay there again but will make arrangements to eat elsewhere.

Granted the hotel was very busy but.....our room did not have any of the standard bathroom amenities....i.e. shampoo, conditioner, etc. The heat lamp in the bathroom was burned out. The clock on the nightstand was not plugged in and we had to move the furniture to plug it back in.....behind the night stand was gross....looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. Beds were fine and the staff was friendly at check in.

I was in town to see the Louisville Bats play baseball with some friends and was within minutes of getting there. The staff was very helpful on how to get there and even on where I should park.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff from the Front Desk during check in was great and treated me like I was VIP then the room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. My dinner in the restaurant was great. I will be back and recommend to all I know.

The hotel has a little age on it, but very well kept. The room was very nice, the carpet looked new, smelled fresh, and was clean. We ate in the restaurant, it was excellent. Great food!! Hotels food in most peoples mind has a bad stigma, not this one. We had the Prime Rib Buffet, price was only $16.95, and tasted delicious.
I noticed there was a water park on the hotel grounds, we will be back this summer to try it out!

Please review your facility for elder care deficiencies. This property is a nightmare for any sensible movement and travel between floors. Please re-do your wayfinding signage also. Too hard to read and understand.

Pick this hotel for your next meeting,had my meeting at this hotel and staff is great and facilities are great. Clean meeting room and guestrooms. Food was wonderful in the restuarant and the food during the meetings were on time and very good. Again great staff friendly and helpful.

While the employees at this location were all very friendly and helpful, the property is in need of an update. The main lobby/common area looked pretty good, but my room was a different story.
I travel quite a bit for my job and rely heavily on having a mini fridge in the room so that I can make healthier food choices. This only way that you can get a mini fridge at this location is if you pay $10 more per day. In addition to this, my toilet ran almost constantly and the faucet in the shower could not be completely turned off, which made it difficult to sleep. I could have lived with these issues, but my main concern was the fact that I did not feel safe walking around the property (to/from car, gym, etc).
Once again, the only thing that I have issue with is the property itself- not the employees of the hotel.
In the property's defense, I did not report the maintenance issues while I was a guest. I was too tired to really care whenever I first arrived at the hotel and was not there very much during the day. The only time I really thought about how much these issues bothered me was when I was trying to sleep. I realize that I could have called the front desk, but I did not believe that these inconveniences required emergency maintenance.

My mother and I stayed at this location and were pleased with the accommodations. The bathroom was small, however, it was clean and that was most important! We stayed on the I-Wing... first floor right next to the exit door. The location was quiet and certainly met our needs. Thank you Clarkesville for a pleasant stay. We will be back! (it was right off I-65.. which was a huge plus!!)
