My boyfriend & I have stayed at this hotel once before & found it
exactly as we remembered. The rooms are clean & roomy enough. The A/C is adequate & quiet. The hotel staff was knowledgable & friendly. There was nothing left to chance as far as check-in & check-out. We really enjoyed Jimmy's Iquana Bar & Restaurant. The sunsets looking out over the Gulf of Mexico are spectacular and shouldn't be missed. The pool area is nice, also.
We especially like the location in Clearwater Beach. There is a lot to do within walking distance, like Pier 60, shopping, the public beach & fine restaurants. The only negative item for us was
the daily parking fee. We felt that parking should have been included, although we were aware of the extra parking charge,

Arrived here during Spring Break unintentionally. Timing wasn't planned. All in all, our stay here was comfortable. The bed was great, but the pillows definitely need an upgrade. Location was awesome, waterfront bar and restaurant was great--wished the weather cooperated. It was very cold and windy, so we didn't sit outside for long, or get to use the pool.
The noise level of the guests was terribly rude. Phillies fans and spring breakers not very courteous after 12pm. Hotel was evacuated at 2am when fire alarm was pulled. No details or explanations given as to whether or not this was a true emergency or a practical joke.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Service was fantastic. Pool area, restaurant, bar were ideal. Only drawback was no fault of the hotel. Went during spring break and someone pulled the fire alarm at 1:00 am and we had to clear the hotel.
Would highly recommend this hotel. Front desk staff was excellent in solving a reservation problem that could have ruined our stay.

when i went to pay bar bill i went to the inside bar to pay, the girl said she would get my bill and then went on to playing the wheel game ane totally forgot about us, so i mentioned it to the other bar tender and he did the same. So i went to the front desk to pay and they couldn't help us. Then i went back to the pool to find our lovely waitress who was extrememly run off her feet, and at that time i paid her. We tried breakfast at the restaurant and the service in the morning was similar i had to wait for about 10mins at the cash before the waitress took our money.
Clean rooms and front desk check in was all good.
This is the third time ive stayed here and found the service below standard.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that want's to be on the Clearwater Beach strip. Walking distance to everything around you within 5 to 10 minutes. Clean rooms, friendly staff, safe and secure area......... I would stay here again and let all my friends and family know that it was GREAT!!!!

Had a fire drill one night at 2am. Compensation was a pot of coffee in lobby next day.. woo-hoo.
One elevator went out of service after the fire drill causing extensive delays.
Had room on street side which was noisy even on the 9th floor.
Philly fans or spring breakers made quite a racket in hall ways every night.
Bar/restaurant and food was good and jitney stop was right outside hotel.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Holiday inn.
We were able to have a wonderful stay. We typically stay in Clearwater at one of the newer more centralized facilities and we were not sure what to expect.
We were pleasantly surprised.
Most certainly in the top 3 or four rating of the hotels on the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The pool side room was great for easy access to the pool and beach. The room service food was excellent and location of the hotel was great to see the area.

Had a great time at the Holiday Inn Clearwater Beach.......nice location and amenities..........took care of all our needs for a relaxing mini-vacation escape from the Northern States Winter. We hope to return soon!

Recently spent a few days here with my husband and had a wonderful time. I have been coming to Clearwater over Mothers Day with my parents and five grown sisters for many years. Stay here every year and have never been disappointed! Always a fun and relaxing time. The staff are great and the beds are so comfortable!

The hotel is nice, the staff great and the food good. The only issue is the pricing to be honest. Last year I had the occassion to stay here and at two other area hotels. The pricing here is much higher than the other two without any real additional ammenities.

wonderful suites -- two adjoining rooms so we really got some privacy while the kids could play in the next room. very clean, very enjoyable.
The pool is spacious, heated, LOTS of clean towels, nice view.
Staff very friendly.

Our total hotel experience was mediocre, our room on the fifth floor (502) was over a large air condition unit on the roof two floors below and was very noisey. We could hear any movement in the hall outside the room. The cleaning staff were polite and efficient. We only ate in the restaurant once for breakfast. It is avertised that the buffet is open at 8 AM , we were there at 8:15 and none of the hot items were out . My wife had to wait for the staff to set it up. I ordered off the menu, hash and poched eggs . It took ten or fifteen minutes even though there was only one other couple being served. When I got my meal the poched eggs were over cooked, completely hard . The weather, I know that you can't do anything about that, was cold and maybe infuenced our overall experience.

Stayed a week at this location. Everything was perfect as location, service, courteous staff, sunsets, good food at fair prices, good water side entertainment. I would highly rate this location for anyone looking for a great vacation on clearwater beach.

Great time during our sales meeting, even though the weather was less than stellar for Florida, it was still better than the 32 degree weather back home.
One word of advice, though, take a power strip with you. There was a serious lack of power outlets that the modern traveler needs.

Great views... great pool.. great bars... and Jimmy's is a great place to eat right on the water. I reserved the Queen suite and was a little taken back that it was actually just two hotel rooms adjoined by a door - one had a couch, dining table, and kitchenette and the other room was a standard hotel room with the 2 queen beds. It did separate our group at times but I did like that this layout gave us two bathrooms. Overall it's a great place to stay. Within walking distance of Pier 60 - not to mention right next door to famous bar/club Shephard's if you're down to party!

We enjoyed our stay and found your service wonderful. We will definately return for a longer stay.
However, I would appreciate enhanced coverage of cable TV to include buisness channels, and a more powerful Wi-Fi system. Your router strength varied greatly for most of the week.

Check in at hotel was uneventful. Was not offered any upgrade based on my Platinum PC status. Got to room 700, it has to be the smallest king bed room in hotel. There was barely space to turn around, much less store any luggage. After unpacking my bags, I entered the bathroom to find it only contained a stand-alone shower and no tub. I was traveling with my 3 year old, and he HATES showers.
Carpet in the elevators is beaten and filthy, stinks like old beer.
Tried to take a nap in the late afternoon, but the large generator outside and below the room kept starting up, running for 30 minutes and shutting down.
Jimmy’s bar would not honor the Priority Club free drink coupon that I was given to get a carryout milk or juice for my son because the coupon says “good for one well mixed drink, domestic beer, or house wine.”
In the evening, I checked rooms still available for purchase on the Holiday Inn website. It appeared all room types were available. I went to the front desk to ask why I was not offered an upgrade, about the generator, and why I was not advised the room only contained a shower. The clerk indicated that I should have been upgraded to a suite and could switch rooms if I so desired. (not so much at 9pm)
My research also showed the hotel also had unsold rooms the night before my check in, and could have given me an upgraded room at my check in time because they were not used the night before.
Room service from Jimmy’s was more than an adventure. It took 5 calls and 5 trips for them to get the order correct. I was also told by the order taker that they did not know the room service menu, so the problems I had with my order were not her fault.
Maids beat on the door 2 times in the morning prior to 10am and demanded to know what time I was checking out.
At checkout, I asked to speak to the manager. The guy came out with a smug attitude. He then told me an outright lie and claimed the hotel was “sold out” of the rooms that they offer for upgrade. He then said, “if you would have paid more, you could have had an upgrade.”
Also blamed the poor room service on Jimmy’s, and since that is not part of the hotel, to take my problem up with them. It took arm twisting, but finally got him to agree that as a Platinum PC member, (already with 18 nights stayed this year) I received no added service or benefit at their property.
When asked why the maids were beating on the door at 10am, he replied “you did not ask for a late checkout”. I politely reminded him that I do not need to ask for a late checkout to stay until the 11am checkout time.
I stayed at this property 2 years ago and have not returned in that amount of time because this was the same sort of service provided during my last visit. I really wanted an enjoyable trip to the beach with my son, so I gave the property another try. Very disappointed to see that attitudes at the property have not improved at all.

I couldn't ask for a better weekend with my family. We had quality time spent together at a beautiful hotel. The staff was fantastic and courteous. You could tell that they loved being at their job!!!! Can't wait to stay again!!!

You will not be disappointed in your stay here. We have returned to Holiday Inn in Clearwater Beach yearly for our spring trip. Easy access to everything and able to walk most places. Staff is more than helpful and friendly. Definitely give this place a 5-Star Rating.

It may appear I overused Excellent in my ratings but that is exactly how I felt about my weekend at the Holiday Inn in Clearwater Beach. The food and drinks were so good we ended up just staying at the hotel for our last night.
Right on the water and walkable to the beach without crossing Gulfview. AND, the night clubs at Shepards are right next door.
This will be my hotel for all my visits to Clearwater from now on.

Walked in with no reservations (priority club members) and had no problem getting a room for 2 nights. Front desk was VERY nice and helpful...and I was recognized as a "special guest" .
WE also enjoyed the pool, bars, and restaurants in the hotel . All were very good. Our room could have been a little better. Some of the furniture and bedding was a bit beat up..and needs to be replaced but the view was just awesome... Would stay there again.

Checking in with no reservations was easy. We got the room that we wanted with no problems. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy with it and recognized us as Priority Members which I like. Housekeeping was also very helpful by leaving us fresh towels even thou we were only there for 2 days and didnt really need them.
The view from our balcony was just awesome. The room itself was a little beat-up and could use a face-lift but all is all it was nice.

My wife and I stay at Holiday Inns quite frequently. We have however never vacationed in Clearwater Beach before.
We are Platinum members and as a result, our room was upgraded to a suite. The overall experience was great from beginning to end. The room was sensational, the staff was wonderful, the lunch overlooking the Gulf of Mexico fantastic, all and all just a fabulous experience.
