The rooms are OK, but the room edges are dirty (behind chairs, corners, door to bathroom, under bed, etc). Being next to the airport, you can enjoy the sound of jets taking off at 7am. I asked co-workers staying at the hotel just next door if they heard the jets, and they said no. Granted, my room faced the runway, but the sound didn't seem dulled. There seems to be no attempt at soundproofing.
There was confusion at the desk about whether my breakfast was included. I ate there the first day and charged my room, then skipped it the rest of the week because the buffet was $10 and I could eat cheaper elsewhere. When I checked out, I saw that only the tip had been charged to my room--meaning I had been due breakfast after all. I could have saved some money not eating out the other days. (Note that in my case, the breakfast was apparently part of the negotiated rate with my employer; it's not something every guest will receive automatically.)
The guest laundry consists of one machine and one dryer, very low-tech, and costs $2 a load for each machine, quarters only. There is no coin-op machine for detergent, so I went to CVS and bought a big bottle of cheap liquid soap. Later I found out the desk sells $1 boxes of detergent and dryer sheets. Perhaps a sign would help?
On the plus side, the staff is excellent. I have nothing but positive things to say about the people who work here. All very friendly and chatty, and very helpful. A for the desk and breakfast wait staff. Excellent work.
