Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by stay and ride The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. But the shuttle never came to pick us up from the airport, which we waited for half and hour in the rain. It was a long day of travel and very frustrating. The reason we stayed there was for the ride to and from the airport. Also the morning of our departure we had to request the shuttle to the airport because one was not coming and we thought we might miss our flight. Thanks to my traveling partner she asked the front desk about the shuttle, and no one was aware that we needed one. Because of the inefficiency of the shuttle service, I would not return to this hotel. June 30, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good breakfast, adequate room for a night The hotel could use a little updating but the staff is friendly and helpful. Our air conditioner didn't quite pull all the humidity out of the air so things felt a bit damp in our room. Overall smell of the room itself was musty. We were just staying for one night so made the best of it. We normally stay at the Intercontinental connected to the Cleveland Clinic but it was booked. We were just looking for a room close to the Clinic for the night. This fit the bill. One a positive note...the hotel breakfast was reasonably priced and the quality of the food very good. Service was a little slow, so make sure you have a little time to enjoy. We would stay there again and hopefully will have better luck with the next room. June 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly Surprised I always stay downtown in a Holiday Inn Express, and I really enjoy it there. I had a last minute trip to Cleveland planned for me(business) and when I went to make arrangements ALL of downtown was full. There was not a room to be had anywhere. Fortunately this hotel was available and thank God it was. The staff was extremely courteous and just plain nice, as well as being accommodating to the max. I was picked up promptly at the airport and delivered there the same way for my return. In between I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Rapid Transit was right there as well, enabling me to get downtown easily for my business meeting. The value price of this property is also excellent. It is a full service Holiday Inn, and so we hat dated, but I expected that and it was not an issue once I was there. I would, and probably will, stay here again. June 22, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Low end This was my 2nd stay at this hotel (I asked my admin to change it after the first, too late). The first stay was the worst hotel experience I ever had. The room was beyond filthy with a tub insert that was leaking brown water from underneath when you stepped in. They were unable to change my room. This recent stay I'd rate acceptable, with only minor issues like lamps not working, bad TV signal from old cable (if you wiggled the cable it got a lot better, but not great) and the outlets are so old the plugs fall out. Given that I had the first experience I had in this hotel I couldn't ever recommend this hotel, given my last experience I'd say the best you could hope for is mediocre accommodations in the slums of Cleveland. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Airport hotel Arrived to hotel for a next day early flight out. Room was at the end of the block so quite a walk from the front desk. The only issue was the 50lb tool box which would have been good to store in reception or at the front desk but there was no storage so had to drag to the extreme end of the hotel. The bar was the best area with friendly staff and good food. Would have stayed longer except for the early flight. Airport shuttle was on time and driver very helpful dropping off right at the departure door. May 11, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not recommended for business travel After arriving at 10pm from a long day of travel and flight delays, we sat down at the bar for a drink and something to eat only to be told the restaurant is closed for the day. Subway nearby was suggested however it was raining very hard and we didn't have a car. To add insult to injury, after 2 rounds of drinks we were then offered pretzels AFTER we were almost finished and ready to return to our rooms. The hotel is very dated and the breakfast was not very good either. Toast was not readily available and made separate from the egg station thus eggs cold by time toast arrived. The attitude of most of the staff was not very pleasant either. The gym was also a joke,,. something you'd find at old poconos resort. I was very embarrassed as I had 2 colleagues from Switzerland with me. April 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Staff is Excellent Although this hotel is a little dated (age of building, pool, general grounds) the staff more than make up for any inadequacies. Their friendliness, professionalism, and desire to provide a positive guest experience more than makes up for the facility deficiencies. From the time I checked in Darryl was fantastic in anticiapting guest needs, and has ALWAYS had a very pleasant and professional demeanor. Nina and Sasha in the bar area ( I eat dinner there) were very helpful, friendly, and professional! Sarina was our server for the group both days, and was very efficient and professional with our service. Shehad things ready for us and kept us on pace so we were able to eat unhurried and make it back to our class on time without rush. The chefs Jason and Donny were absolutely fantastic! T.Y and Jeffrey set up my room for the class and did an outstanding job. They were both very professional, friendly, and obviously cared about making sure the room was setup properly, and clean. Their efforts need to be commended. I have worked in hospitality a number of years, and I have to admit that I am very particular about how I like things,and I have no qualms about speaking up when things are not correct. I also believe that good people need to be recognized. I have been coming here for 9 plus years, 2ce a yea,r and I have to say that the staff here have improved each time. Make no mistake...they are the reason I keep coming back here. They are far and away your best asset(s). Keep up the great is both noticed, and appreciated. April 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Some Work I have stayed at this property before and found it to be acceptable. The rooms are usually clean and comfortable. This time, however, the HVAC system either set the temperature to Sauna or Hang Meat so my rest was not as good as it could be. Other people have reported that the neighborhood is a little dicey, but I have never had any issues. On the positive side, the room rates are competitive and the staff is excellent! Everyone was wonderful to me and greeted me as Gold member when I arrived. I would recommend this property generally. March 16, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mediocre Wi-Fi has been useless for at least the last 3-4months I have been coming here. There are always unusual smells everywhere. My room has once smelled like someone was smoking in it when I came back in the early evening. The back door never locks, and has not locked for more than 2yrs. That was especially concerning when you see 5-6 cop cars in the parking lot and the front desk claims it is a routine arrest. I don't know about you but any arrest is not routine in my neighborhood and 5-6 cars involved is definitely not routine anywhere. The heating and cooling systems are extremely loud and function erratically. Some beds are ok and others you can literally feel the springs and hear them creak.At least most of the employees provide very good service. The breakfast kitchen has been running much smoother lately too, so I will commend that. It seems to be clean, it is just getting older. It's just a place to sleep. Make sure to lock all your locks though. March 10, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing to recommend From the start it was a bad experience. I was not greeted as a member, and was told my room was a double not a king as I reserved . I even showed my email to no avail. Heater worked poorly. The room had ants that got into my valentines snacks and munchies they were crawling over me the 7 hour ride home. Was there for weekend at Rays bike park, so was not in room that much. Next year we will stay elsewhere. March 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Slow internet and the service provider wanted me to pay I had a meeting cancel on me so I was going to do some work from the room. I couldn't even connect to the internet it was so slow. I called the front desk and they have me a number to call. They person on the other end said that they knew what was wrong but they would have to charge me to fix it. I explained that I was a guest in a hotel and they would need to discuss payment with the hotel. I called the front desk and told them what happened. It never got fixed and I never heard anything. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by roller coaster stay The entrance is poorly lit and easy to miss if arriving at night and main lobby door being placed on side of building does not help either. Was greeted with a friendly hello and had a candid conversation with front desk employee (wish I rememberd her name) who was also helpful in locating a good place to eat later that night. Arrived in room to find a stained blanket which clearly stuck out. Called desk and recieved another stained blanket and at this point we found a plastic bag with a clean blanket which I guess was for extra needs. Room decor seemed to be from the late 80s couch to early 90s furniture to then2000s tv so I guess we coverd the last 30 years of furniture in our room. curtains had cigarette burns on them and appeared to have never been washed or not in a while (brown stains and such). The view did not enhance the room. Got a view of a back yard and a factory with lots of junk laying around (romantic). bar in hotel was nice. Enjoyed the restaurant attached to hotel. slept good then left to enjoy the area. Came back and room had not been tended to which was completely unacceptable as my wife and I were tired after a long day. Contacted desk and he provided lots of excuses of why it was our fault and not thiers.(we got new sheets and got to make our own fun fun). overall the staff were nice then provided poor service(front desk good housekeeping bad) The room was more "motelish" than a room I expected to be at a holiday inn. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Will not stay here again. I was not recognized as a platinum member at check-in, no welcome bag or bonus point. The wall heating unit had so much cold air blowing through it I had to stuff pillows and blankets around it to stay warm in the room. The side walks to the side doors completely covered with snow and ice for the 3 days I stayed there and the parking lot was very poorly cleaned making it hard to walk in knee deep snow while trying to Carry luggage. Also the coffee in the lobby is only severed from 6:00 am to 9:00 am. I stay in IHG brand hotels 3 to 4 nights a week year around and this Is the worst one I have stayed at in a while. One positive note, the staff was very friendly and helpful. February 10, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tuff to Call When I arrived, I wasn't greeted as a platinum member and there was no welcome gift (ie water, bonus points). The room was comfortable and clean, but the heater didn't work properly. Maintenance was quick to come in and clean the utterly clogged filters which allowed the unit to work, but the thermostat didn't seem to be working properly. It was either very hot or very cold. The bathroom was tiny but it had a great shower. As a chain, Holiday Inn amenities are not good. February 3, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff Lousy Hotel Staff was wonderful but the hotel is old and not up to par. The Pool room was rather cold and rundown. The Elevator shuddered on every floor and felt very poorly maintained. My room key only worked maybe 1 out of 10 times and was told to just keep trying it. Just overall a disappointing experience. My bathroom was dirty with visible "brown substance" on toilet seat and side of tub along with absolutely no toiletries left for me. Had to go to front desk for even shampoo and soap. I'm glad the staff was wonderful, however final straw was the terrible coffee in the lobby and the fact it was only served in the mornings. I will not repeat my stay here. Other hotels close to airport in the IHG are much better. February 3, 2014

I was in town for an interview at MetroHealth and was able to get a ride to and from the airport as well as to the interview the next day. The room and bathroom were clean. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Internet Speed Way To Slow Internet speed to slow to use for business. Needs to be upgraded. Currently only downloads around .5 Mbps. Normal speeds are around 10 Mbps at other hotels. Rooms were great. Nanas restaurant has good food with a great staff. And finally the front desk staff was the best. Cleaniness is by far the most important to me when I stay in a hotel. This hotel was very clean. I will definitely be staying here on my next visits. December 11, 2013
