Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Truly world class I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality and high standard of presentation of my room at the Holiday Inn Cochin. The 24 hour room service was really helpful and the wide variety of freshly cooked food on the menu at 2 a.m. in the night was truly fantastic!! 5 stars for front-office staff friendliness (Rahul & Praveen). I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend the Holiday Inn Cochin. Will definitely come back. August 27, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Poor service and attitude The Holiday Inn Kochi/Cochin has a serious problem with staff attitude and staff courtesy. It is similar to the US impersonal service, and no where near the Indian Hospitality norms. I travel to US regularly and this is what I expect in the US. However when we are in India, I do expect much better service. The staff needs to be trained on culturally upholding what is good in India, rather than aping the US culture of DIY and impersonal approach. August 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Comfortable Hotel Quick check-in. Bed is big and comfortable, and the pillows are clean. Sufficient lightings in the room. Nice breakfast food and a very friendly and attentive executive chef. Overall, the stay was pleasant except for the noise during the first two nights. Will stay there again in the next business trip. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service but expected a bit more from the room. Overall had a good experience at the hotel. The professionalism exhibited by the employees was above all my expectations and for that very reason I will be returning to this hotel in the future when required. The room, although very neat and adequate, could use an update to reflect a modern deco in line with the status the hotel reflects. The TV channel selections were disappointing and some were not even clear. Same goes for the bathrooms. Very neat but could use an update in the deco. The staff, their politeness and willingness to serve, was the best I have experienced in any hotel I have been to in recent years. I can’t give names here, but there are quite a few I would like to thank, especially the guys in the restaurant. Overall, good job guys !!!! August 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Food options Hello. While I enjoyed my overall stay at the hotel, I have Celiac Disease so I have to maintain a gluten free diet. There were not that many options available to accommodate this for a hearty breakfast meal (hard boiled eggs, fruit). Perhaps you could ask travelers about special dietary needs to be prepared to accommodate. I am also vegetarian. I ate one meal in the cafe one evening - there was one vegetarian, gluten free option.
