A great choice for someone with a morning flight. I appreciated the hottub - great after a long day of business travel. One minor issue - when I tried to leave in the morning, I found that I needed my room key to activate the parking lot gate. I had to leave my car and run back to the front desk to retrieve the keycard so I could leave, which isn't good when I'm trying to catch a flight. July 17, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Business Traveler - Good Place to Stay I stayed here one night in July and had a lot of work to do. I was able to work in comfortable room and got a lot accomplished. Bed was very comfortable, A/C worked well and nice staff made it a pleasant stay. I also rented a meeting room space for a morning meeting and the space was set up correctly and looked very professional. Had water, note pads & pins on the table. Clean and good price for the meeting room. I will stay here again for future business meetings in Atlanta. PS - shuttle bus wasn't working but staff made it easy and not a problem. They had other shuttle buses stopping by to take us to airport. Thank you! July 9, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Everything Ahh! A poor example of a facility and food service So here is my list: 1. Elevator key to 6th floor would not operate; replaced. 2. Room key would not operate; replaced again. (It was too difficult to check in.) 3. Wi-Fi connection not available not for Apple products, i.e., phone, pad. Finally, got it on a Kindle 4. AC wall unit leaking on carpet. Paper pad and clothes wet that were placed near unit. Gads. 5. Here we are at a hotel next to the airport to catch a morning flight, and the time and service for breakfast was abysmally poor. It was so poor, another customer had to leave without getting her change so she would not miss her flight. I stayed in 3 Holiday Inns over 6 nights and this was the worse hotel. The Holiday Inn in Asheville, NC (2 nights) was poor, though the food was good. Again, poor Wi-Fi and sheets did not fit the bed and no shampoo the first night in Asheville. Now, Athens GA Holiday Inn was a top rate place (3 nights). If I have stayed at the Asheville or Atlanta hotels first, I would not have book Holiday Inn for the remaining of the week. June 20, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst experience of my past 30+ hotel stays I travel a lot, and this stay stands out as was my worst experience in quite a while. We arrived at 1 pm after a tiring several days, and were told that check-in wasn't until 3 pm, so we sat there in the lobby for a couple of hours waiting. I was not recognized for being a priority club member, as other Holiday Inns always do. The staff then didn't know how to handle a federal tax exempt form, so they had to call the manager off site. The guys next store had a party until 2 am, so we couldn't sleep. At 1 am I called the front desk and a half hour later security knocked on the door next door and said only "noise complaint". The security guy then left, and the party continued for another hour until I guess they decided they'd had enough. I would not ever stay here again because of the poor service. June 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best ever... Awesome place. I had stayed in HI express in Henry Co the week prior for training my daughter had to take part of for an overseas Med School trip. The following week, when it was time for her to fly out, we decided to stay close to the airport the night before her departure. Unfortunately, I left the reserving up to my other half. He took us to the H--- Inn across the street... I knew there was no way I was sleeping there when I saw that place. I left him there (unhappy of course) and me and my child went directly across the way to this Holiday Inn Express. Anyway, I was put on the executive floor and was more than impressed. The hotel staff was polite and helpful. The room was immaculate. I never heard any noise. I have never met a Holiday Inn Express that I didn't like! But this one exceeded my expectations! I will stay again! (by the way, he is still mad) Thanks for the awesome service! June 9, 2013

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times due to the convenience of location of my purpose for my visits in the area and majority of the time, I've had a pleasant experience. This past visit, my greeting was anything but pleasant. Arrived to discover my reservation had been altered from a king bed to a double bed and from the executive floor to the 1st floor - not acceptable considering I made the reservation weeks in advance! Though I did get my reservation corrected after making it clear I wasn't accepting that change, the woman who checked me in gave serious attitude, no smile and no apologies whatsoever, then had the nerve to yell at me when I didn't hear correctly over the wireless password. First impressions are the most lasting and had I not been so busy with this trip, I seriously would have found another hotel with friendlier staff. Serious room for improvement there. May 20, 2013

When I asked to move they move me to a double bed room instead of a King stating there where no other rooms available. After another trip to the lobby they found a "King" room across from the ice machine. Not very impressed with front desk staff service! April 24, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Airport Shuttle The airport shuttle is nothing like the internet or staff says. None of the staff knew or gave you the correct time of the shuttle. Last shuttle was well before 2 am and the first was not avalible till sometime after 5 am. So I had to take a taxi from the hotel to the airport and it cost me $15. If you are traveling and using the shuttle during the day it was great. The hotel was average but the staff was not helpfully or friendly. April 16, 2013

A/C was not working did not see anyone tring to fix in other words no A/C vans on prperty. I was told to open the window as it was going to be a cool night. Not a good idea when you are 2 miles from airport. None of the staff would great you as you walked by, This is not a big deal but friendlyness go a long way in repeat customers April 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Safe Haven Crazy weather delay at destination city caused overnight layover in Atlanta. I had one of the only flights available early the next morning to get me to my destination in time for my business meeting. Having to make snap decisions in travel plans, I booked another hotel on arrival in Atlanta. Arriving at that hotel, I was very uncomfortable with the accommodations and kept trying to talk myself into staying in my prepaid room. However, the gross factor won out and I bolted! I had noticed a Holiday Inn Express close and thought I had made a reservation there, but I was actually registered at the Holiday Inn South Atlanta. The HI Express desk registration clerk made sure that I arrived at my new destination. I wish that I had thought to write down everyone's name, but the entire staff of ALL my Holiday Inn interactions were professional and showed genuine concern for my plight. The Holiday Inn Atlanta Airport South was perfect for the late night arrival. The room was spotless, the restaurant welcomed my late arrival like it was nothing and the meal was great, and the nightcap at the bar was most appreciated. Complimentary Airport Shuttle to the airport the next morning was prompt and comfortable. Coffee in the lobby for the short wait. Thank you for providing me with the comfort, courtesy, cleanliness, and convenience for a reasonable price. I will make sure that the Holiday Inn Atlanta Airport South is on my "favorites" list and recommendations. March 12, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Place - Bad Practices Clean and close to airport. Staff friendly but not reasonable. I actually live 45 minutes north of the location but used my points to book so my son and I could swim for the evening and be close to the airport to pick up family in the morning. Two issues that unfortunately were not handled well: We checked in and noticed a kids eat free sign fo the restaurant, so we put our bags upstairs and came down to eat. When we got the bill and asked why the kids meal was not free they would only respond that we had to get program details from the desk. The desk said that the deal was only available when you buy a full price room. Bait and switched. I just shook my head in disbelief and my son and I went to check the pool. "OUT OF ORDER" since we were just there to swim and be close to the airport, I asked the desk if I could cancel and have my points returned so we could go to another Hotel and swim. They said they could not do that for us due to policy and it was beyond their control because cheerleaders messed the pool up and it needed a deep clean??? The best they could do is give me 5000 of the 15000 points I used for the room and give me coupon for a free kids meal. LOL...What happens when you don't have a kid? What really surprised me is they really had nothing to lose. We had not even used the room, and it was a non revenue points stay. How tough would it have been for them to reimburse the room points and recommend another location with a working pool. If you really want to know what IHG Priority Club Gold Status gets you, this should clear it up. Comical...yes. I travel just about every other week and guess which hotel group got dropped to 3rd? Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Will not return Hotel staff at check in was very unpleasant. Did not understand why I had to pay for parking and I was paying to stay there. Immediately withdrew 25 dollars from my account for incendentals, called accounting, and still have not had my money placed back on my card and was told it would be 2 to 3 business days. Today is Jan. 22.and still have not recieved my money. Breakfast and restaurant was closed. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone because of staff in person and on the phone. Brought a friend there from up north and talked about how people are more plesant in the south only to be extremely embarrasses in the end. January 22, 2013

(I stay 100+ nights per year at IHG, but never seem to see the parking while booking). This is still the best value hotel in the area even with parking added. Hotel staff was not very friendly. Desk clerk was efficient at check-in, but no mention made of Priority Club Status. Server at breakfast never acknowledge I was there. I ended up eating the breakfast bar and leaving the voucher on my table. There are several local restaurants convenient to the hotel (I ate at the Noodle Shop - fresh cooked, great price, unfriendly service -- must be something about the College Park area!!) Rooms were clean and comfortable for a good night sleep. January 3, 2013
