I have stayed at the Atlanta Airport South Holiday Inn for many nights over the last few months. While there are many staff members that are trying to do a good job representing the IHG brand, it seems that management does not provide the appropriate level of support or training.
I have been a Platinum member for many-many years, however at this hotel upgrades and amenities are not applied consistently. Reserving varying levels of rooms appears to matter not. Sometimes you are given breakfast coupons, sometimes not, sometimes parking is included, sometimes not, some times breakfast includes coffee and orange juice, sometimes not ... even with the same room type reservations. Today I was refused orange juice AND coffee and was informed that only one beverage was included and if I wanted orange juice I would have to pay for it. Yesterday it was included, today not. I was informed by the desk manager that I could have breakfast coupons with future reservations if I made a more expensive ($30 more) reservation for the same room type. Thanks but I don't feel a breakfast buffet, with breakfast beverage restrictions, is worth $30 !!!
As I'd had breakfast this morning before the General Manager was on site, I asked the front desk to have him call me to explain the inconsistencies in policies, and was promised he would. You guessed it. No follow up call. When I asked to see him this evening at the front desk I was told that he was home with his family and was not answering his cellphone so a voice message was left for him to please call me.
Now, as seasoned traveler, I recognize that each of these deficiencies alone may seem insignificant, but a business traveler like myself, expects to know what he or she will be charged for BEFORE he makes a reservation at this property.

Clean, friendly and efficient, but make sure you plan on circling a few times for parking. Also they charge to park.
Hotel staff is very warm and welcoming.Rooms are modern and clean.

Customer Service was outstanding. The staff made you feel welcome like you were apart of their family. Clean rooms, very comfortable. I would stay there again on my next trip.
