The front desk accomodated our request to have a connecting room which made all the difference in our stay! Our room had a microwave and mini-fridge, which when you travel with children, is a must! The hotel is not far from the Greenbelt Metro. The shuttle takes you right there and was available every time we needed it without waiting. The kids enjoyed the pool where there is a lifeguard on duty. The work-out room was also clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again.

We stayed in the college park holiday inn over a weekend while attending a university of Maryland basketball game. The front desk was very helpful. The hotel was very easy to get to from the beltway. The room was very clean and pleasant. I think the best thing is the free shuttle service the hotel offers. The first night they drove us downtown to a restaurant to get dinner. Saturday they drove us to the Comcast center and picked us up. There are two or three restaurant choices within walking distance and in the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the university of Maryland.

I have only 1 complaint. This was my 3rd stay at the hotel, I didn't have any problems doing a early check-in because my flight always land at 7am, and I need somewhere to lay my head prior to my 1pm brief. I was told this most recent stay the this hotel doesn't do early check-ins. I was puzzled. But I finally got in my room and relaxed before my brief to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Thank you very much!

I stay in this location once a month on average. The staff is always fantastic, the room clean, and bed comfortable. A short drive to D.C. and reasonable rates are just a few things this great place has to offer. The onsite restaurant is good if you don't feel like venturing out, but if you do, there are tons of great local places to eat (CJ Ferrarias is a must). I even get a free drink coupon upon arrival. My only complaint is the parking lot. The spaces as so tight that in order to avoid a ding or dent you have to park far away.

On my latest visit, I stayed in the newest wing. The accommodations far exceeded my expectations. Plus, the Staff was friendly and responsive, especially the front desk clerk who checked me in. I would highly recommend this hotel!

From the front desk to housekeep the staff was friendly.
Found the room to be very clean and comfortable with plenty of lighting for the work desk area. Heat / AC was good and not too loud. Food at the bar / lounge was typical bar food and the drinks seemed a bit high even for happy hour. But the bartender fast and friendly sot not bad. Parking was ok but not real secure and could see space being problem if they were to be busy.

Checked in on a Sunday early evening and wanted room service ... was told that they operate on a "limited menu" on Sundays [Have they seen their menu? It's pretty limited to begin with - and come on - you are part of a full-service restaurant] I was told that he (the person who answered the phone) would have to check to see if my request was available (Chicken pasta). After waiting 10 minutes for him to come back I hung up and called back to sepak to a manager . The same person answered the phone and said "oh, you were the one who ordered the pasta" I said I had been waiting to here if it was available and you never came back - I want to speak to the manager. He told me a manager wasn't there tonight but I could speak to a supervisor. She came on the phone and apologized and said that he was a bus-er who was answering the phones. she said my meal had been ordered - I told her no thank you - I had already waited to hear if it was available and I was going out to a restaurant that I knew had food that was available. I complained to the Front Desk about it and the Food and Beverage Manager called to offer me a free meal that evening. i'm sorry, I didn't complain to get a free meal - I want the issues with Room Service addressed ... this is the second bad experience that I have had with room service .... nothing changed from the first time. On a positive note, the Front Desk staff is WONDERFUL - they should be the ones training the F&B staff on customer service.

This was my second stay at the Hotel. It was very good, but have one suggestion - If the stay is at least 5 days, there should be things in the room for this length of time (microwave, etc.).

We chose the Washginton/College Park Holiday Inn while visiting family in Maryland.
We had returned to the hotel about 10:30 on Sunday after a long day. I was looking forward to relaxing with a glass of wine but when we got to the hotel the lounge had closed due to inactivity. I asked the front desk clerk (Lisa??) if there was any way someone could open the bar and give us 2 glasses of wine. She did not hesitate at all and called Deb (?), she quickly opened the bar and we received 2 healthy glasses of wine. I work in the service field and I really appreciate when people go above and beyond the normal call of duty! Thank you!
Every employee we ran into during our stay always said hello, smiled and made us feel welcomed to stay at their hotel.
The rooms we clean, comfortable and quiet. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

On the night that my husband and I stayed at the hotel there was also a wedding taking place. Unfortunately, it didn't end until 11:30 which meant that I didn't get to sleep until way after that time. The reception did not end until around 12:00 and I was able to hear all of the music that was played.

We recently stayed at this hotel on two occasions based on its proximity to the University of Maryland, We discovered the hotel was an excellent choice. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well decorated and the hotel staff was courteous, and friendly particularly at the front desk. .We will definitely choose this hotel in the future.
Unfortunately we cannot say the same for the Moose Creek Steak House. The first dinner and breakfast buffet the following morning provide both good food and service, so we decided to repeat the experience. We were disappointed that on the Sunday night only a bar menu was available, The food was quite good however, but despite an almost empty restaurant the service was very slow. The next morning the breakfast buffet was nowhere near as good as our previous experience and again the service was extremely slow and haphazard despite small number of guests, While we will us the hotel again, I doubt we will ever use the Moose Creak Steak House again.

The reception staff was very accommodating, cordial and informative. The shuttle service to the metro stop (e.g. travel from hotel to Washington DC Metro Greenbelt station) was very convenient.
