Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by My reservation was cancelled My husband, daughter and I stayed at this hotel with a soccer team. I spoke directly to the marketing manager to make my reservation and asked to be guaranteed for late arrival but it had been cancelled when we arrived after 9 pm. We waited a long time to get the "last non-smoking double room" but could only stay there for one night. The only available room for the 2nd night was smoking. We were not ok with this but we had a very early morning and others were waiting to check in. There were no breakfast vouchers as promised by our group status and the opening time was after our required departure for a soccer game. The second night we were allowed to stay in our room - Yay! - but the breakfast voucher printed times and the confirmation of those times by the front desk the night before turned out to be wrong and we were too late for breakfast this time! We raced to pack, check out and find a heathy breakfast option for our daughter before her soccer game. This was not a relaxing stay. March 28, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fair I was there to work at Ft. Lee. Due to having the room at the Government, I was not offered a free breakfast, although I am part of the IHG Rewards. I was told it was their policey. I was only there for a work and I don't know if they were lacking staff for housekeeping, but they did not do a very good job restocking anything that was used. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bed and easy access from highway I was headed south and stayed at the Holiday Inn Petersburg North-Fort Lee. I have enjoyed how Holiday Inn has upgraded and renovated its properties over the years, and I always find the beds and pillows comfortable. This Holiday Inn was quite big and obviously accommodates bus groups, etc. However, I thought is was easily accessible from the highway, and that having a restaurant in the hotel was useful. The room was welcoming and comfortable, and all of the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. Our stay at this facility provided a much needed reprieve from driving; while this was not our destination hotel, the pleasant ambiance made it feel as though it was a part of the actual vacation. It was nice to be greeted by friendly customer service after an exhausting trip. Our accommodations were met, and we were able to sleep in with no issues. February 26, 2015
