Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I like this hotel This hotel is convenient, located just off the interstate. It is quiet and comfortable. I like staying here when I am in town. I hope they soon renovate the HVAC system to reduce the buzzing noise that is constant. Still, that would not discourage me from staying at this fine hotel. June 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I was expecting... The bed was not very comfortable at all. When I lay down, I immediately sank into a gully in the mattress and had to sleep across the bed instead of the normal position. The pillows were good examples of why I always carry my own pillow when traveling. I prefer to use my own shampoo and made the mistake of leaving the cap on the counter, even though the bottle was plainly visible in the shower but the room attendant threw away the cap anyway. So I had to drive around South Carolina for two more days with a full, open bottle of shampoo in my cup holder. Also, the internet connection was so slow that I finally gave up on doing any work and watched TV. For the experience, it was very over-priced. June 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great time I was so tired and so down. The staff made me feel like I was important. I was given a cold bottle of water soon as I checked in. I needed that. The bed was great. The hotel was so quiet after 11pm I actually looked out in the hallway to see what was up. It was so clean. It was the best experience I have had in such a l long time. Maintenance people were noisy during the day, loud and didn't keep their door from slamming, but it was nice to hear them laugh. They were happy. Could have been quieter, but they were happy. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AWESOME STAY!!! Our Stay was awesome. My mother and I flew into Columbia, SC to attend the graduation of my brother at Fort Jackson. We had been flying all night and were very tired when we got to the hotel. We knew their check in time was 4pm, but we checked anyway. They did have our room ready so were able to get some much needed rest. The rooms had A/C and very comfy beds. The rooms were also very clean. We had breakfast in there resturant and it was very good. The lounge was nice. Also, they have a computer room with printers so my mother and I could check in and get our boarding passes to our flight home. The hotel is right off the I-77 and was only a couple of miles away from Fort Jackson and lots of resturants and stores up and dowm Two Notch road. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Always a little something wrong .... This is a nice hotel and I have stayed here several times. Every time I have stayed there has been a little problem / issue with my room that proves to be aggravating. Once the bathtub drain would not stay open, several times the television has either not worked or the cable was not functioning. Once during a stay I discovered the lamps did not have light bulbs. The front desk is always apologetic but the issues are slow to be resolved. This hotel needs better quality control. May 19, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff & Services i stayed at the Holiday Inn at Two Notch Road and I was completely satisfied! The only area I would ask the staff to look into, is seeing if there would be a place to add free weights or dumbells; even if it was inside the existing room with treadmills. Tia at the front desk was very courteous and immediately identified me as a Platinum Member. She did not skip a beat and gave me all the information i needed up front. She oriented me to the hotel layout and gave me all keys and any coupons that I was eligible for. Sandy at the bar was the best bartender at this location hands down. She greeted me and ensured I was aware of the meal specials, not to mention she provided my drink immediately following. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location & Service If you are coming to Fort Jackson for BCT graduation, I highly recommend this Holiday Inn! Great location just a few minutes away with very easy access to Gate 4. There is a nice variety of restaurants close by. The only negatives I can point out are the luke warm water at the lavatory in my room and the back entrance was tough to open. If I ever have the need to return to Fort Jackson, this is the place I will stay. April 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice & Comfy While traveling we stayed at this Holiday Inn and had a very relaxing stay. Room was spacious, clean & comfy. The next morning, my husband got the breakfast buffet- ( breakfast is NOT included) and I ordered off the menu. Mine was fine - but he was dissappointed with the food from the buffet. Other than that there is nothing negative I can say about this hotel. The staff was very helpful & friendly- and we were VERY road weary from a long drive & they made us feel very welcome. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay I was very surprised at how nice the hotel was and how great the service was. Very clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were so polite and apologetic that I had to wait in line. When several people arrive at the same time there is a line so no need to apologize, it wasn't a long wait at all. The only negative thing I have to say is the pillows are to small, thats just a comfort thing for me. I would stay there every chance I get. Thanks April 15, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible experience! We stayed at this hotel for one night only and thank you God for that! Very poor customer service service, we decided to eat breakfast there (which is not included in the stay) and go for "buffet". I'm not sure why they called it "buffet" because all we could have was some french toast that was not tasty at all, some burnt omelette, some really dry bacon, and some stale cakes which I could not even eat. All for $8.99. We unfortunately assumed that we would get juice too, so the server came and filled our glasses with orange juice, but then when we received the bill, they charged us almost $3.00 for each glass of juice on top of the "buffet" prices. When we inquired about the bill, we were totally ignored, not even an apology for not informing us that the juice was not included in the price, raising her voice at us too, yelling "I will remove one, but you have to pay the rest of the juices (another 3 juices)!" We stayed in a lot of Holiday inns as we like to travel (about 6 this spring only) and we never had such a bad experience! Very poor customer service skills from the server and not a very clean place. We would definitely not go back again and we would not recommend it! I wish we could give it less than 1 star! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The location refuses to honor the Government per diem rate This location has been our preferred location for our official travel at Fort Jackson while on official duty with the US Army. This location refuses to allow our members of our Armed Froces to stay in their facility for the maximum per diem rate that the US Govt will pay each day. They are more than happy to give us this rate if we book a large group through their sales representative, but the Soldier and his family that are moving to the area has to pay additional money out of his or her pocket to stay at this location. Then they have the nerve to post a patriotic flag icon on the site advertising that they welcome our military members and give them a special rate. This hotel has often charged the military more money per night than the average person has to pay if they just walk in the front door, because they know what the govt reimbursement rate is. We have many other locations to choose from and this location is usually packed with large loud conventions and social events staying up late each night and roaming the halls drunk. Last month, 3 flights of stairs in the stairwell were covered in vomit where one of these drunken party goers graced us with his presence. Have it your way. We're better off somewhere else. CPT M.S. Unusual in most hotels and especially in a suite in ALL hotels. In the last few years I have been more and more reluctant to place my luggage on any hotel floors OR on the beds. Even 5-star hotels have become infedsted with things that I do not wish to take home with me. TV in bedroom did not work. Both were reported to front desk upon checkout. March 15, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by You Got To Be Kidding The prior week I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and it was awesome, this was in the north part of Columbia. I joined the priority club...was able to check out at 2pm and received a military discount. The following week I stayed at this Holiday in that happens to be close to Fort Jackson. Only active duty on orders could get a military discount and I had to check out at 11am though. Needless to say I will never stay at this particuliar Holiday Inn again nor will I recommend to any of my friends visiting Fort Jackson. February 23, 2013

I called the hotel from the right outside Columbia and a room was available. I was surprised at the value for the room I got. Great quiet, safe, location, right off I-20. Big property. We chose the hotel based on it's location on our route never expecting anything other than the usually nice Intercontinental facility. However, from the warm, friendly, yet professional front desk attendants to the fine upgraded one bedroom jacuzzi suite, we were impressed! It had all the much-needed amenities to soothe the weary traveler, especially the quality bedding and that welcome whirlpool tub! Everything in the hotel had that "well cared for" appearance. Thanks for a pleasant break. IC hotels are always our first choice on all our travels...stayed in three different ones on this trip...and Columbia I-77 North was the best of all! February 16, 2013

They could not accommodate this request which is first time this request has ever been denied. They would give us bag of ice in AM. However, in AM desk clerk couldn't get ice because she was only person there. We will not stay there again. February 13, 2013

The room had some minor problems and when I told the lady at checkout and also complained about not getting paper delivered to room, she became snippy.The nice Hotel but not so nice clerk left a sour taste in my mouth. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Staff The front desk staff was very kind. They greeted me with a smile and thanked me for being a priority club member. The only problem I had was that there was a family reunion going on and I was not able to get a good nights rest. Kids were running up and down the halls making noise. So I did not enjoy my mini-vacation. Also the restaurant was closed. I wish I was told that in advance. I still would recommend the property only because of the staff but I would ask what was going on during that time. January 23, 2013
