They both assured me that I would have my room that it would not be canceled. Upon arrival everyone was very nice. I was able to met Sharon and thank her personally and asked her to thank Vicki for me. Will definitely recommend staying here. November 21, 2013

My only concerned was the phone was not working in my room which cost me money buying breakfast. I tried to call the front desk to inquire about breakfast but could not get through. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed this stay I have stayed at this property several times, for work and visiting our son at CSU. On this visit, we had several problems with our room. Prior to arriving, someone with housekeeping unplugged the refrigerator. We had went to dinner and had brought some back for the next day. I put the food containers in the fridge and I know it was cold. Through the night, the fridge had thawed out and the ice buildup in the freeze (mini fridge, and apparently needed this - but not on a night that it was going to be occupied!) had melted and ran out all over the carpet. We had a few pieces of clothing that were lying on the floor near the fridge that were soaked and smelled bad from it. The air in the room was not working up to par and was not very comfortable. Our bath drain was slow and water backed up a little bit also. I spoke with the office staff the next morning and expressed to them my dissatisfaction with everything that had gone on. They asked me what I wanted for compensation. I plainly felt that I deserved a free night on a return trip and requested that. I was told that my information would be given to management and I asked t be contacted if there were any questions. I am returning tomorrow and I called to speak with management. I left a message with what I was calling about and I waited all day to be contacted. I never heard a thing. I feel that the management dropped the ball in the first place with the room the way it was when we were placed in it. Secondly, with not contacting me about all the problems we did have. And thirdly for not contacting me today to discuss the compensation that I feel is deserved. Adding insult to injury... I did not receive bonus points that were paid for. I had to call IHG customer service to receive those points on my own time. I would have been ripped off if I had not realized the points were not properly provided to my account. November 3, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service One problem! When flushing the toilet, it was hot water. The toilet holding (upper, not sure what to call it) area, got HOT. I advised the clerk. This is a waste of energy and money. I am sure this is not the first time it has been brought to the attention of management. Maybe it is a decision that it would be too expensive to replumb. From the outside I wasn't so sure about this hotel but inside it was great. The lounge and bar area is very nice. The rooms are clean and the bed was so comfortable. The layout of the hotel is a little awkward but it ended up being a nice quiet stay. The staff was exceptional! Very friendly and super helpful. They go out of their way to make service members feel welcome with a wonderful free breakfast and a discount on the room. This hotel may not look like much but for the price and the service it's a great stay. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a bargain with a great stay. September 30, 2013

And we were way down on hall 14, meaning the walk to the front was very long for an 82 year old person. Other than those 2 faults. our stay was very pleasant. September 24, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk is great! Your front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. I didn't feel like I was bothering anyone when I asked for things, which is nice. There were a couple of dead bugs in my bathroom but overall everything seemed relatively clean and all was in working order. I did feel like the room rate was a little high but having free breakfast helped, even if I didn't get up early enough for it except for once. One suggestion: since there are no elevators, it would've been helpful if someone had offered to help with my bags. I didn't ask for help but then when I got up there, I kind of wish I had. LOL! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Location but not up to par The location was great for where I needed to be. Upon checking in there were loud guests in the lobby. I guess the staff couldn't control them. I had to call and ask for a shower curtain because they forgot to put one in the bathroom. The cups next to the ice bucket had brown rings on them. We used the bucket to get ice, but there was water in the bucket from the melted ice after room service cleaned the following day. I am no sure why the coffee pot and coffee was in the bathroom. There was an annoying noise in the bedroom overnigt. The smoke alarm needed a battery. Other than that, the place was okay if you aren't planning on being in the room. I would not recommend this place for anyone that wants a comfortable place to rest for longer periods. September 13, 2013

I haven't had the best experiences with Holiday Inn Express hotels in other parts of the country, and had initially booked a reservation with another hotel chain. However, this hotel offered a substantial family reunion discount and had a room available, so I stayed. I'm so glad I did. The front desk people were beyond helpful and kind. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was FABULOUS! The cheese grits, eggs, and potatoes for breakfast were FABULOUS! I can't say enough about the food. It was conveniently located. And I'd DEFINITELY stay here again if I traveled to Columbus. September 5, 2013

Staff was friendly. The arrangement of the building makes for an extremely long walk to the front desk, bar, and restaurant if you are in the back of the building. I was in a room furthest away from the front areas. Yuck! Overall it was a decent stay for one night. September 4, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Poor Experience It's been quite some time sense I've stayed at a Holiday in, and this stay reminded me why. While staff were friendly, the overall condition of the property was extremely poor and appeared to be run down and shabby. Specifically in our room the shower head was broken in such a way that virtually no water came out of the head itself and just ran down from the plumbing pipe into the tub. There were multiple lights burned out or not working in the room. The bedding while clean was on an extremely uncomfortable bed. Finally the AC in the room was poor at best. All that being said, I was not the only one in our group who occupied 4 rooms to have these problems. Without exception everyone was dissatisfied with the accommodations for many of the same reasons. In the future if my options are Holiday Inn or any other hotel, I'll choose any other hotel. August 28, 2013
