Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place... but I liked this hotel. It is in a good location, and it is well kept., and the staff tries to accommodate. It is unfortunate that I cannot recommend this hotel, and someday return to this hotel, whenever I have business in the Cedar Rapids, IA. area. The root of my disappointment comes from my error in leaving some personal items behind in my room, items that were practically new, and worth $50.00 or more. Yes, I know, how could I checkout and leave $50 worth of stuff behind, but I did. Initially, I had hope that my stuff would be shipped to me, because I had talked to hotel personnel that remembered the items, and told me that it would be no problem to have the bag of items shipped to me. I was overjoyed. A week went by, and my stuff never arrived. I called back, and learned that the stuff never made it out the door, lost my phone number, etc. Another week goes by and my stuff is still not back in my possession. I checked out of the hotel on January 15th, 2015, and it is now February 12, 2015. I have to add that I have never received a phone call from this hotel. I had to initiate all of the contact regarding this issue. In the past I had left some items behind at a Holiday Inn in Columbia, MO., and they were proactive, and initiated the return of the items by calling me before I even realized that I didn't have the items with me. They confirmed my address, and the missing items, and I had everything back within a few days, it was amazing service in Columbia, MO., but not here however, I am sorry to say. I have no hope of getting my stuff back, which I guess is really to be expected, but I was spoiled by the Holiday INN in Columbia, MO. February 12, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Highly disappointing, IHG? I think not! I stayed here with my sisters. They allowed us an early check in, which was appreciated. IHG status not recognized. Pool and hot tub were nice, great temperature, but small. Very dated. Even blankets had holes and stains. Housekeeping was extremely lacking. Sofa wasn't changed from previous guest. Simple things like tissues and other incidentals were not in the room. Front desk staff wore jeans with holes in them and enjoyed watching tv and eating over working the desk. When requested simple things like shampoo and conditioner, it took over 4 hours and me going to the desk to ask again. I received mismatch scents and products (weird for an IHG hotel). Upon check out, I asked to borrow a shovel because they plowed our vehicle in and we couldn't get out. They said that other guests took them all with them and they didn't have anymore. When checking out I was asked how my stay was. I was honest. The front desk person gave me a business card and told me to contact the gm. Turns out the person wasn't even the gm. I thought I was staying at a mom and pop 1 star place over an IHG hotel. Highly disappointing and won't be staying there again! February 9, 2015
