No one on the desk was fully qualified. A housekeeping manager was attempting to assist an individual who wore a "Trainee" name tag. She was swamped/overwhelmed at times. They couldn't find my reservation, and said the number I provided had already been checked in under.
It took 25 minutes to get checked in. I was asked to take a seat while others were checked in, and I had to call the local company who made the reservation twice.
The following conditions were also noted: the van used for courtesy transportation had been hit in the windshield by numerous stones, I estimate 10, and was nearly cracked all the way from side to side.
One of two elevators was inoperative.
The ice maker on my floor was out of service.
The American Flag being flown was in poor repair (needs to be retired). I am a Veteran, and proud of my service. This is inexcusable.
Easily the worst experience I have had in the past year, 35 at IHG and 45 at four of your competitor's properties.

I've been staying at this hotel for business on and off over the past 8 years and I must say this last visit will be the last one. I am a long standing Platinum member and this is the first check-in in a very long time that it wasn't acknowledged at check-in. Usually I get thanked and then get a choice of a snack bag or 500 bonus points. I got neither here. This is also the first time that I did not receive a free breakfast card or any kind of discount whatsoever. I asked why they no longer had any smoking rooms and was told it was because of the remodel. I do understand this. It's pretty common among all hotels but the first thing I noticed was the abundance of "out of order" signs all over the hotel, including one of the two elevators. I am surprised that they did not add fridges to the rooms after the remodel. I guess this is so you will be forced to spend more money there. But my biggest frustration of the room was that they had this office area set up with a desk but the nearest electrical outlet was 15 feet away! That is ridiculous. Whoever planned this remodel should think of getting a different career. I used to enjoy staying here but those days are now over.

I enjoy staying at a location that I know and trust. Holiday Inn Corpus Christi is just such a place. Like any well used hotel properties it is in need of some updating. They are doing just that. I look forward to seeing the new and improved property on my next visit..

The staff here is great they will help with anything you need, the motel is ok and needs some upgrades. The overall service is good but they have a hard time getting the rooms cleaned before days end. The elevators or also not working correctly.

The food was excellent at the hotel restaurant and the pillows were incredible comfortable. The stay at the hotel was a very good experience after all. I did not expect the restroom to be very modern looking. The reception area of the hotel was very clean and open.
