Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Experience My girlfriend and I visited the hotel for a weekend away in Cincinnati. The staff was very helpful in making the reservation and even accommodating an early check-in for us. From there, the rest of the weekend was a horrible experience. About an hour after settling into our room, a member of the housekeeping staff quickly knocked on our door and barged in 2-3 steps into our room without warning. She apologized and claimed she was not notified that we had checked in. A few minutes later, she knocked on our door and apologized again, offering a couple of drink tickets. Ten minutes later she knocked on the door again to deliver the complimentary drink tickets. This was quite a disrupting first couple of hours of our stay, but it seemed like the issue was resolved. Approximately 30-45 minutes later, the same housekeeping employee, once again, barged into our room without warning while my girlfriend was right inside cleaning up in the bathroom. This was absolutely a terrifying beginning to our stay, and totally unacceptable behavior by the housekeeping staff. I was very displeased, and expressed my concerns to the front desk. I was told the manager would be contacted and I would be notified on the situation. But this did not happen. During the rest of our stay, some additional things were not quite satisfactory. The thermostat in our room did not seem to work, as we had the AC on full blast and set at 64 degrees all weekend and it did not cool down much from when we walked in the door upon check-in. Additionally, the water temperature in the shower took about 10 minutes to heat up each morning of our stay. Overall, it was not a great experience at this hotel. To make matters worse, we did not feel that we had much privacy after the situation with housekeeping during the first few hours of our stay. I expressed my concerns with the front desk once again upon checking out. I was told the hotel would compensate me half of what I paid in rewards points for our terrible experience. However, I have not been contacted and have not yet been compensated. I will not stay in this hotel again, and will not recommend this to anyone, mainly because of how the staff failed to address our concerns. May 1, 2015
