I was staying at this hotel, due to a relative being in the hospital. The rate was a great for that purpose. However, I can not say I would recommend the hotel overall. It is quite dated, but clean. I was in a mobility accessible room and I can not imagine it being truly of ease for someone trying to manuever a wheel chair etc. The bathroom had no holder for the TP it was up on the towel holder(behind the commode). The door was a heavy sliding door. The AC while I do love it cold I was unable to warm up the room. Lastly, re the room there was a small roach in the room. Overall, again the room was clean, the staff was extremely nice. The hotel grounds clean and well maintained. The proximity to the hospital was great(easily walkable). They do have a coffee bar/restaurant and bar. However, no 'free' breakfast in the morning as many other HI do.

Try to get a King Suite on the upper floors... It is worth the extra few dollars for all that extra room to relax and unwind.!

I was at this hotel attending a training meeting and I have to say, the staff, food, accommodations were outstanding.
The next time I'm in Dallas, I will be staying at this hotel.

The hotel staff was so helpful. They were all so kind and made us feel at home even though it was just a hotel! The shuttle drivers asked a lot of questions and were very knowledgable about things to do near the hotel. The bed was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was also very nice. We loved the fact that there were towles set out at the pool for guests to use, instead of having to ask the front desk for more towles.
The only negative comments I have were that the room got a little warm during the night even with the air set on 68. However it was not ever too hot, just a little stuffy, and it had been 107 earlier that day outside!! The water pressure in the shower wasn't the best.
All in all It was an overall very positive experience and it was a great value! We will be back!

It had been awhile since I had stayed at Holiday Inn. But when my wife and I decided to try an inexpensive getaway to Dallas we discovered this place. The rate was most reasonable so naturally we expected to get what we paid for. What we got was a good location close to downtown, a nice room with a comfortable bed, a clean pool and a friendly courteous staff. Two standouts were Tony the bartender and the lounge waiter, whose name I neglected to get. And the hotel was so quiet we even got to sleep in a little longer than usual. The quibbles are small. The shower was tricky to adjust and the items in the snack bar were not priced (I don't buy anything without knowing how much I'll be paying). More importantly the back parking lot could be better lit for the safety of the guests. There is no complimentary breakfast. Other than that we look forward to returning.

All the hotel staff was super nice, greeting me by name when I needed something. I was upgraded to a suite upon check in. The room was a bit out dated, one of the cabinet doors was hanging by the hinge and the AC didn't cool very well in the bedroom. But, the positive experience I had with the staff made up for any other down falls. I will be recommending my company to use this property on future visits.

We enjoyed our stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed transportation ideas to and from the One Direction concert!! I loved the beautiful building, and our room felt like home. The kids enjoyed a nice swim in the pool. We didn't have a chance to eat breakfast because we slept in, but I did enjoy my mixed drink from the bar before the concert!! The only con would be the location of the building. It seemed like the only nice place in the area. Would recommend!

The location is great because it is near everything downtown without the downtown price. However, the DART rail line runs right behind the hotel, so depending which side you are facing, the noise may or may not be heard. Bar was not open during our stay....but there was a really good restaurant next door. Recommended!

This hotel has great customer service. I checked in at 1:00AM for a 2 night stay and the front desk rep Ron was very nice and welcoming. During my stay the hotel room was comfortable and the food was great. The chef was very presentable during our meeting. I would surely recommend this hotel to others.

I recently had the pleasure of staying here for a sales training. I can not say enough about the how attentive and hospitable the staff of this property are! After a long flight which was delayed, and a low cell battery, the front desk went out of their way to make sure I connected with the shuttle driver. The food was beyond outstanding and the service of the catering staff was 5 star without being stuffy or overdone. The meeting rooms were excellent and convenient. My guest room was also perfect.
This might not be the newest property in Dallas but their staff and food make up for any thing else!

The Holiday Inn - Dallas Market Center is in a great location. It is about a mile away from Uptown where all the great restaurants and nightlife is. There is a complimentary shuttle that will take you there and pick you up and runs until 10 p.m. each night. Not only is it a great location, the rooms are huge! The beds are extremely comfortable and I already have a call in to see what type of mattress they use and pillows. The food was great during our entire meeting on-site and the banquet staff were the nicest people. Can't wait to return!

Great Location to Market Center. Room was old and outdated. The tub and sink drained slow. The breakfast is not very good. Pool was very nice for the kids. If you walk to market center you need to be careful. There is no sidewalk once you cross Harry Hines, you have to walk up a grass hill. This property is all about location.

We were there due to a medical stay. The room was neat, clean and very comfortable.
We had room service and the food was better than most restuarant foods!
The Front desk Staff were attentive and friendly. Helpful to find what we needed since we had never been to that part of Dallas!

Checking in was fast and easy, front desk staff was courteous, suite was clean and spacious. The restaurant staff on the other hand is the exact opposite. All was going good until we decided to grab a bite to eat in the lobby restaurant and take advantage of kids under 8 eat free, my free appetizer, and save time. We were told we could get the food to-go and eat in our room, until my gf placed our order and then they said that was not correct and we had to pay full price for to-go meals. We chose to dine in so we could take advantage of the promotions and our decision was explained and covered in detail to us by the staff so we knew how much of an inconvenience it was and the fact the kid's pizza we added was not on the original order so did we really want it or not cause it would be more work. On top of that the staff didn't even know what the special was even though it was written on a big board. It was supposed to be tortellini, salad, and garlic bread. We received only the pasta, no salad or garlic bread and were still charged full price. When we asked for garlic bread they said they didn't have any, and afterwards still didn't erase it of the board. We were spoken to in a very passive aggressive manner. I will never dine there again and hope no one else does either, until it is staffed properly.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable but no refrigerator in room. Also couldn't get room cool enough. Food from lodge was okay but not worth the money. There was a convention going on but guest from it wasn't an issue. Also pool is outside and no hot tub.

I loved everything about my stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable, I especially enjoyed the mini fridge and microwave provided in the room. The staff were all friendly, very professional and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing (we'd gone there to attend an anime convention). We specifically chose this location because it was the closest to the hotel the convention was held at. The shuttle service and free parking made our choice that much easier. We didn't have an opportunity to use the pool or the dining areas. I will definitely be returning to this hotel every year when the convention comes to town.

Normally we have a great experience at your hotel. Our bed was not comfortable and the little half pillows were not great. Our bathroom was not cleaned one day.
I believe the staff was overwhelmed with the Amco group that was there.
I requested extra pillows and got towels.
The day the room was not cleaned I requested coffee for the next day and got a new coffee pot. They corrected it each time but there was definetly a communication problem( English ).

The people at the front desk were always polite and greeted us all the time. That was the best part.
My room wasn't cleaned one of the days I stayed there. The ice machines on several floors did not work. There is only one washer and dryer for the entire building and all rooms. Sometimes the restaurant is open, and sometimes it isn't.

i HAVE STAYED AT THIS LOCATION ON OTHER BUSINESS TRIPS. THIS TRIP I WAS UNHAPPY. I GOT INTO THE ROOM FROM A LATE BUSINESS MEETING (APPROX 11PM) AND FOUND THE TOILET LEAKED FROM THE BASE WHEN IT WAS FLUSHED COVERING PART OF THE FLOOR WITH WATER. IT WAS TOO LATE AT NIGHT TO NOTIFY THE FRONT DESK. I HAD TO USE THE RESTROOM IN MY PARTNERS ROOM UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING WHEN I ADVISED THE FRONT DESK OF THE LEAK.

Although an older property, the rooms were set up nice with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms are outdated even though the looked like they had some renovations completed.
Front desk staff and shuttle drivers were fantastic and very helpful. Restaurant service was absolutely pathetic. At breakfast, they never brought me silverware, even though I had asked for it, so I had to get up and get a set from another table. They push the buffett for breakfast, but do not keep it stocked with food so have to bring you items. I was in a hurry, so I ordered the buffett and could have had something that I really wanted in the same time frame. Luckily, the Market Diner out the front door to the left had fantastic food and service. Thought I would try the bar area and same horrible service.
If you need to be in the Market Hall area, it is not bad.

I love staying at Holiday Inn Market Center because the rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. There is a level of elegance and comforatablility that draws me to this particular Holiday Inn. The staff is attentive, friendly, and makes my stay feel secure. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn location.

I"ve stayed here 3 times in the past two months due to location, its very centralized to the places I need to travel to for work. However, first stay the room wasn't very quiet. You can feel a constant rumbling of the building and when asked what it was due to - they said it was the elevators. And if its not the slight rumbling of the elevators that keep you awake - its the train or the monorail.
The second stay I had here - there was a faint buzzing from the fire alarm speaker that went off exactly every 7 seconds and would create a static noise for 3 seconds. stop. and repeat. Drove me nuts throughout the night - when asked what it was due to, I was told because of interference with electrical systems and possible elevator issues and "most rooms are like that." They did move me rooms - a room that runs along the monorail though.
The third time I stayed there, 11:30pm - the fire alarm goes off in the stairway. Nobody said a word about it, fed up, tired, and annoyed - I informed the front desk of the alarm. Someone finally came up to look at the issue. It took 45 minutes and a "false evacuation" of the rooms before it was shut off.
Restless nights and if its not one thing its another...
won't be back again to this location
