Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel made this hard to please business traveller happy This hotel is clean, comfy, gracious and provides the best sleeping experience I have had other than in my own bed at home. Staff goes out of its way to make stay inviting and to do pretty much whatever they can do to help. I travel A LOT and have never been unhappy with the Indigo. Here are a few examples: a. They are aware that I prefer to have blankets rather than a comforter in the bed. Each time I have stayed, there has been a blanket waiting for me. b. I got in VERY late this week from a trip. My husband called and ordered room service for me so that when I arrived at 1am dinner was there for me. c. The guy who runs the downstairs bar in the evening allows me to ask for special stuff at the restaurant because when you stay for a week or more at a time the food gets a little repetitive. d. The room is clean, clean clean beds comfy, service outstanding. I have now stayed here 17 days over the past 45 and have no complaints. e. In the last trip my room did get hot and they addressed that immediately f. in the suite I stayed at, the desk was in the bedroom area - the maintenance guys came up and switched it so that I was not working in the bedroom and the computer was not on all night to keep you up. I stay in a lot of hotels this one is by far the most comfortable and has the most gracious staff. September 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel, but loud Overall, it's great that this hotel was restored. The "beach" atmosphere doesn't really fit a nice older building in downtown Dallas, but whatever. The prices are good. The location is great for downtown. However, there needs to be some consideration for downtown noise. Even high up, you can hear everything on the street. The food at the bar, for some reason, is TERRIFIC. The elevators in this building are really loud, and you can hear them all night. Also, they are really fast once you get one, but for some reason, it takes forever when you are waiting for one to arrive. September 27, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Experience for Highly Recommended Place As a Gold Elite member, I have come to expect a certain level of service and stay experience at IHG properties. However, I was disappointed with my recent stay at the Hotel Indigo Dallas Downtown. The property did not honor a negotiated corporate rate. I paid nearly 30% more than the negotiated rate. Secondly, the air conditioning in the room performed poorly. It never got to a point of comfort that I would have preferred. The last and most offending thing was this morning at breakfast. I sat at my table for approximately 7-10 minutes and I was not acknowledged. This for me is completely unacceptable service. I am aware that there were several tables being served but that does not excuse staff from acknowledging a guest's presence. I made the on-duty management personnel aware of my concerns and they were quite apologetic. I received a call from the GM and was offered both immediately monetary compensation as well as future perks. I graciously received them but I did say to them that I would probably not return to that property in the immediate near future. September 25, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad Stayed for one night in a Queen standard. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable although fairly short. Their furniture is a bit out of date however. Very small, old model TV with a remote that lacked a back casing. September 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by indigo downtown dallas this hotel is ok, but its the best I have found for the price in the area. its a little old but no big problems for the frequent traveler September 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff and Refreshing Interior The staff is very friendly and helpful. I frequently stay in Dallas for business trip, and I feel like this hotel is my home in downtown Dallas. One thing I really like about this hotel other than friendly staff and good location is that the wood flooring. Unlike carpet floor, the wooden floor is doesn't cause strange smell. It feels really clean. Walls are thin and you can hear next door people sometimes, but I don't mind it so much. I can sleep well always. September 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very calm beach scene Thank you very much for this wonderful stay! Loved the atmosphere here and very easy to find. The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows that has given my sister and I a very good nights sleep quickly. Loved the fact the check out time is noon which made it so possible to sleep in and not rush out. The only thing I wasn't very satisfied with was the parking that was an additional fee even with us staying at this hotel. But the staff was very friendly and the rooms are very clean and I would stay there again if I come back to Dallas. September 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay in Dallas, TX Hotel indigo was a refreshing place to stay in the midst of downtown Dallas. Every employee we were in contact with was cheerful, helpful and willing to go above and beyond their routine job duties. The decor was "beach like" with soft blues and yellows making the hotel atmosphere cheery and relaxing. Rooms were comfortable, room service was excellent, restaurant food was good and reasonably priced and bar was enjoyable. September 11, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good service, not super clean The staff was super friendly, however the hotel didn't feel clean. Lots of stained carpet and dirty walls. There were dirty coffee mugs right outside our door when we arrived. September 11, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok hotel The staff were friendly and for the most part attentive. The mattress and sheets though were uncomfortable and our room's configuration (room 310) was odd, but it's probably because the building is so old. September 5, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad but had some minor issues Hallways smelled like vinegar and only one elevator was working. Room itself was ok. September 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice decor. comfortable stay. Hotel Indigo is a beautiful building. The room we stayed in was a bit small, even for a single bed, but it was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and professional. September 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff! Great stay combining business and family - good location downtown. The best staff! September 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great room Good option for business trip. Surprisingly good and very comfortable room. it needs some improvements, for instance elevators, Restaurant/Bar and Lounge. August 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great American Truck Show Hotel was great. I very much want to applaud the staff for doing an exceptional job in making the stay awesome. I downgraded the sleep area a bit. The room was very comfortable but...between loud guests in the hallway-piercing into the room... and the 4 o'clock in the morning...nocturnal activities....with the sounds easily crossing over into the room...not so much for me. I plan to stay again and I understand they are adding sound-proofing. The other thing was one working elevator? August 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable accommodations Friendly staff, great service. We would stay there again August 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service but... The room and hotel as a whole was a refreshing designing, the staff was very attentive but the mattress was very saggy. We started on the bed but by the end of the night my wife was on the couch and I was on the floor. I know IHG does better than this so I was very surprised when we were either hanging off the sides of the bed or rolling into the middle. I would recommend this property; I would just make sure the bed is not old before you settle in. August 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not what we expected The room we booked was not available (King Suite) and we were offered a Queen Suite and two drink vouchers at the bar. Front desk girl was very quick and polite. The room was clean and comfortable, with some evidence of the building being very old. The drinks were acceptable, bartender was very quick and kind. I was surprised to find that we were charged for the King Suite even though that is not the room we received. We did not pursue getting the problem solved as we were on a tight schedule. Overall, it was a good experience. August 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service; needs a little refurbishing Avoid the coffee. Otherwise a nice stay. Nice free breakfast. Bar tickets. Shuttle to many locations. Nice friendly staff. August 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wasn't a fan of this hotel Staff was excellent...helpful, attentive, friendly. Everything you'd expect. That said, the hotel itself was a letdown. Based on the pics online, hotel appeared to be a chic, contemporary hotel in downtown Dallas. Once checked in, hotel revealed what it was...an older hotel with a fresh coat of brightly colored paint. Was the hotel horrible? Absolutely not...we just weren't impressed with the value vs. quality. Would have rather spent $50 more a night on a different hotel downtown. August 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Love the Hotel Indigo concept Walked in with the hubby who was shocked when I told him this was part of the Holiday Inn family. Love this concept and always choose it when I can. Only downer - no more teak bench in the shower! Please bring that back. Shaving one's legs is ever so much easier with it. August 22, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Both the good and bad I've stayed at a handful of Indigo hotels but this one was a bit different. Pros: Great location next to a small friendly park Close to the Wyly and Winspear Biking distance to the Klyde Warren park and museums Clean area Friendly and accommodating staff Cons: Outdated interiors Small room Slow elevators Park next door riddled with homeless people (not to say they were a problem either) Slow to non-responsive WIFI August 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel was beautiful. I enjoyed the architecture. In addition, one of the staff members provided a brief history of the building which was very interesting. August 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Comfortable, felt like home. Ease of location and felt roomy and clean. August 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfection I had a suite on the 14th floor. It truly felt like being home. Everything was perfectly decorated. Not that cookie cutter type of decor. Like a perfectly adorned guest room. Relaxing after a long day (and night..) The staff was friendly and accommodating. Always available with a smile and suggestions about where to go. Breakfast was to die for. Definitely get the Denver omelette! I will be back to Dallas and will stay at Hotel Indigo for sure! 3 thumbs up! August 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Attentive staff The temperature was over 100* during our recent stay in Dallas, but there was still a friendly attentive doorman on duty. The bed was so comfortable and we just wanted to sink into it after our long day of travel, but we had a business dinner to attend. Luckily, we were able to use the hotel's wonderful free shuttle to a hip new area restaurant AND I took the shuttle the next day to the wonderful art museum. We definitely plan on going back to Dallas (when the weather cools off) and staying again at the Hotel Indigo. August 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great hotel stay The Hotel Ingido was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They had an amazing menu and full bar that made the stay ever more enjoyable. I slept like a baby and got to wake up and look out on down town Dallas- what more could you ask for! August 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by a nice brief stay. Over all my experience was great in all ways. the only glitch was the internet service was poor. other than that my stay was great and I would not hesitate to recommend you or stay at your Hotel again. August 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Refreshing ambience, Comfortable Beds, Awesome Bartender The hotel was very clean and the check-in/check-out experience was flawless. The ambience is refreshing, we had a clean room and bathroom, and we enjoyed the overall stay. We enjoyed our time that we spent in the bar with the bartender, Jeffrey. He was informative about activities and information about our neighborhood. He also sent a gift to our room once he found out it was our anniversary. He made us feel special and we had a nice time in the bar because of him. August 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent overnight stay downtown Overall, the hotel provided excellent value, especially considering it was on the low price end for downtown Dallas hotels. The hotel and room decor were very cute, with vivid blues and yellows through out the hotel. While the room I stayed in was small, it didn't feel that way; the layout was highly efficient. The bed was very comfortable, and the room AC was relatively quiet. There was some street level noise, but it wasn't audible when I put on some low-level music. I really liked that I could connect my mp3 player to the clock radio. I didn't check if I could connect to the TV similarly. The TV channels were rather limited, but I was too busy to watch TV anyway. The one way streets can complicate parking, but the hotel staff made sure I was aware of the parking options and restrictions for the area. I recommend calling the front desk before you visit. They were also very helpful in letting me know local transportation options, including their courtesy shuttle. July 24, 2014
