Excellent staff, both upon reception (Priority Club was acknowledged) and upon checkout. Checkout was painless and quick.
Enjoyed staff/customer get together on Wednesday night
Room was on smallish side (fine by me) but everything worked well and was clean.
Would recommend to another.

This hotel is good surrounded by good restaurants and a lovely outdoor mall including two different pharmacys. The room with the double bed was small but cozy for two people. The staff were very polite and looked happy to be there and very informative. What I wish was better was that everything was conveniently located. For instance the ice machines on the fourth floor, soda machine on third and snack machine on first along with the microwave which is behind the desk. Other than those few things the hotel itself is good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Front Desk Personnel were Exceptional
There was an issue with my reservation -- an online reservation glitch that I should have noticed when purchasing. However , thanks to the pleasant attitude and problem solving skills of the two front desk representatives, all was resolved so that I was not penalized. Robin & Nicole's customer service was excellent. They turned what could have been an extreme inconvenience for me trying to check-in at 8 PM into a good experience.

I generally enjoy my IHG hotels but was very disappointed in the Dedham hotel, the carpets were stained and the bed very uncomfortable.

Hotel staff, management all seem to be working very hard to address all of the issues that are addressed in these reviews. Love the way they treat you like your important to them. Finding my stays are getting better and better each time I stay. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication twoard improving our stays.

Good location in midtown manhattan.
Close to subway station (34th) with 5 minutes on foot.
Building looked new or recently renovated.
The cleanest HolidayInn hotel I have ever stayed.
Room is small for two queens and price is very high due to it's location, i.e. Manhattan.

Room was small and so was the bathroom. I could not sit on the camode without closing the door first. The elevators in the lobby leading up to the rooms is very slow and small. My room was on the 4th floor and I walked up and down the stairs since it was much quicker.

I have stayed at so many holiday inn. But this far was the wrost one ever. when I went to my room and open the door I just know I wasn't going to be happy. The smell and the dirty stains that was on the carpet made me say to myself. " what the heck" I Immediately call the front desk to complain. The staff was very helpful they moved me to another room. So now I'm in the second room the carpet much better but now the bed pillows look lumpy and bed sheets look dingy white. It's time to replace them and now I go to the bathroom and the toilet seat has stains on it. Now this time I wanted to speak to the manager and inform him that this was a unacceptable situation. The stains came from the chemicals they use to clean. But it looked horrible and the manager sent the maintenance right up to replace the toilet seat. with a new one " Thank you" for your fast response. Ok It's time to get some rest why do I keep hearing the door slap seem look every ten minutes. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. I wouldn't recommend or stay at this holiday inn again.

I have had to stay in this location multiple times because of ease of location' however, I would not choose to stay in this hotel if there was another IHG in the area. The hotel itself is in need of a makeover and I have yet to stay in a room without numerous stains and smells.

Although it wasn't a horrible experience, it certainly wasn't average and I wouldn't go back. There was a card requesting we call the desk if we couldn't rate this survey the best score, but we didn't have time - we were just in town overnight for a conference at the hotel. The TV never worked (cable - the set itself worked fine). Although we had to specifically initial the nonsmoking nature of the room, there were two burn marks on the carpet. Needs updating. It was the smallest bathroom ever - I had to lean over the sink counter to turn on the water - really tiny, and floor very slippery without water. The bed was very uncomfortable (to each of us). Soda in machine and minifridge only included caffeinated bevs. Weird location - drive through a parking lot and land in their lot. The good parts: the room temp was very easily controlled and the staff in the Breakfast Nook were extraordinarily attentive and kind. Overpriced for the quality - need to shave off about $50 from the per-night fee.

Their shuttle was overbooked one morning. And to make sure I got to my seminar on time, the front desk clerk arranged for a fellow employee to take us in their personal vehicle the few miles to where we needed to go. The next day the front desk arranged a car service to take me to the airport to save a little money. The car service they refer people to is cheaper than a normal taxi cab would have been. I am not used to taking public transportation and told the hotel staff so. They did all they could to put me at ease and handle my requests.

I found the "smoking bench" in front of the hotel entrance extremely annoying. The entrance of a hotel is the first impression of a hotel guest and the sight of the smoking people sitting on that bench with their cigarettes looked extremly ugly.

Fine for a Holiday Inn, except the room carpet was in an appalling state, covered with visible stains and dirt. Clearly the owners recently invested quite a lot to update the decor and hotel overall, so this is a suprising maintenence failure. It is an older property but looks like a new Holiday Inn. The age of the structure means that the room layouts have a smaller bath, but really otherwise quite nice.
However, the carpet situation is unforgivable. I thought it might have just been the one room I was in, but after reading online reviews on various sites, I see the same complaints about stained carpets, going back serval years. These reviews are invariably followed with a nice note of apology from IHG, but for gods sake stop apologizing and start steam cleaning, or replacing carpets or whatever it takes to fix just this one specific problem, and you'll start seeing better reviews.
I'm not the germophobic Hotel Impossible guy. I do not expect a hotel room to be 100% blemish free. A single small stain on the carpet I can overlook, A carpet that is covered in a haze of dirt and has half a dozen large stains is not what I expect to see in the rebranded Holiday Inns. That is the kind of stuff that I used to see in the old Holiday Inn's ten years ago, and why I stopped staying in them until I started seeing better quality properties since the rebrand.

we paid the extra amount to be able to have the breakfasts included in our stay but the morning of our first day we were told breakfast was not included.
the satff at the desk were cold and short which is very unlike the experiences we have had at other Holiday Inns throughout the country.
the rug in our room was so dirty and stained that we were afraid to walk on it with our shoes on! we complained but were told " we are having rug issues"
on the day of our check out, I asked if our check out time could be extended to 12 noon and was told ok ( as we have travelled all over the world, we know this is not too much to ask for) when we arrived at our room at 11:55 we had been locked out as the desk did not know that we had ask to extend our check out time by one hour.
Just very un-professional!

Entrance to the parking lot is a bit tricky. Check in was smooth. This is an older property and it shows. The lobby is clean but the elevators are a bit beat up and very slow. The room was clean, with the exception of the carpet. No cleaning will help this carpet, I was afraid to walk on it in my bare feet, it should be replaced. My room had a refrigerator that worked very well. Internet was very fast but did not work all of the time. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom fan was not working. I had a problem with my key cards and they were replaced three times during my two day stay.
I did not have time to use the pool or the restaurant. The hotel staff was wonderful and for my purposes the location was ideal. I would stay here again, but would not go out of my way to do so.

We were welcomed warmly at the front desk and were even there in time to enjoy a freshly made cookie that is offered in the afternoon. I would not hesitate to return in the future.

The staff was great during our visit and helped us where they could. We booked this room several months before, and thinking we would get a room as pictured on line. However we were put in an old section w/pealing paint on the window and no microwave or refrigerator. The staff was able to give us 1 refrigerator for the 2 rooms we booked.

Overall we had really good service but the rooms was really dirty. We stayed 4 days and every day it was missing something in my room, ex: 3 towels instead of 4. Also our first room was a lot dirty like i never seen before in a holiday inn.

It would have been nice to have some other choice for an evening meal than a Chinese restaurant.
I had to walk to Joey's where I had a very enjoyable sandwich and glass of wine.

No points for stays. First holiday inn I have stayed at with my company that does not reward points. Elevators are dirty and hot with very bad odor . Older woman in the nook very pushy. Front end staff very nice and helpful hotel is old and needs upgrading. I spend about 260 nights per year in hotels after this job I'm on is finished I won't return to rebid a job that includes this location as our choice of hotel.
