Helpful, accommodating, and friendly sum it up perfectly. All the staff are nice and the rooms are clean and updated. January 27, 2014

Wednesday night manager reception means friendly staff that want to make sure everything is going well with your stay along with the appetizers and beverages. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel Although the elevators were out of order, I didn't mind all that much (I was on 2nd fl.). Room was large enough and clean; some rug stains but not awful. Bed was comfortable, HVAC was good and quiet. Nice TV. Staff was very nice and my free breakfast was great! Definitely will be back. January 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good but could be better, to make it great. The only thing that was very annoying was, there is no bathroom fan. However there is a ceiling vent, that is supposed to clear the air, but if you hold a tissue to the vent, it won't stay, indicating very poor air circulation. The bathroom odor never clears out. VERY ANNOYING. I discussed this with management and their response, that is just the way it is. The Holiday Inn in Laytham NY is the same way. Not a good system. January 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A welcoming hotel We stay at this hotel a couple of times per year when in town to visit family. There are other properties closer to family but we have always been treated like valued guests at the Dedham Holiday Inn. We were welcomed and checked in promptly and the room was upgraded just as promised. The restaurant staff was wonderful and friendly and they really took care of us. My youngest wasn't feeling well one morning and they put together a little breakfast treat and juice for us to bring to back to the room for him. The indoor heated pool is a treat. It is very clean and the warm water was great for a relaxing swim especially when it's below freezing outside. The fitness center is well maintained with 2 TV's so it was nice to go work out while watching ESPN then taking a swim to start the day. The pool was also a great place ot have the family over to sit and socialize while the kids swam. We are bit biased because we have stayed at the Dedham Holiday Inn for many years. It is an older property and the rooms are smaller than newer built hotels but it's been updated and the furnishings are new and the bedding is very comfortable. The TV's in the room were great with HD channels. The cleaning staff was also very friendly and did a superb job. The location is great. We walked to Legacy Place for shopping and to nearby restaurants for dinner. We had a great Christmas vacation and plan to be back in a couple of months. Thanks to all the staff and the ladies at the front desk like Kelly, Robin and Joyce for making our stay a wonderful one. January 8, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A good value We stayed using the "Boston Deals" package -- which came with breakfast for two. The French toast on the breakfast buffet was good, and the fresh melon and strawberries were nice to have. The kids, of course, ate for free. Our "executive" room would have been a standard-size room at a lot of hotels. Parking was ample. The WiFi worked well. Our room and the lobby were clean. Indoor pool was nothing special, but the water was warm. January 2, 2014

All though I am originally from the Boston area and still have most of my Boston accent, I may have confused your front desk people when I asked a question. As they seemed to think I should have known the answer. I have been away from the Boston area for nearly 20 years. The check in clerk was just matter of fact when asked about dining. The next day the front desk person was dealing with a customer on the telephone and I advised her I would wait, but to her insistence I asked the question and well lets say I should have waited. Left a real bad taste in my mouth. That morning there was a young man perhaps a teen spreading salt on the ice who gave me more attention and was a 100% more helpful. I think you have your staff in the wrong positions. I left the would I recommend unchecked as I am not sure I would or would not at this point. December 22, 2013

There a 2 sections, the older 2 story hotel and the newer high rise. I was in the older portion, which the hallways could use an update. December 16, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed The rooms were roomy and clean but didn't like the idea that you had to pay for a microwave or fridge to be in your room. The maid i had couldn't speak English so she didn't understand when i wanted something. Was located in a well spaced area with lots of parking Front desk was very friendly and helpful with my questions. December 4, 2013

She asked for a ground floor room (she is spry, but 80!), and not only was she given the location she requested, but everywhere she turned, she found staff offering to help. She did not have to lift a finger again during her entire stay. What wonderful hospitality! Plus, Bamboo serves some of the finest Asian food we have ever eaten. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff Great staff and management. Hotel is being renovated as promised and is getting better with each stay. Hallways are very noisy and can be heard very easly from inside the room. I sleep during days so im sure there fine at night. Curtains dont block out the sunlight completly. Don't know the fix for that maybee some real dark window tint or roll down shades for those who sleep during the day. Overall a great place to stay always treated very good there. November 19, 2013

Rooms were nice, staff always pleasant and thanks for Jeremiah (probably spelled wrong) for updating my AC unit in my room! The gals in the manager reception are always supportive and a pleasure to work and talk too. Thanks for everything. If my project extends into further weeks I will see you again! November 18, 2013

So i called doen stair and they gave me another room when come up stair to the second room had trouble with the door not open .. so had to called down stair again so they can have one of there maintence me come help me.. out again.. but other then that the stay was ok.. For me, what sets one hotel apart from another is the attitude displayed by the staff when I interact with them. During our stay, I dealt with four different people at the front desk and two members of the housekeeping staff. Without exception, my concerns or questions were addressed in a friendly, courteous manner that made me feel that the hotel staff was very committed to serving the needs of their guests. I would not hesitate to stay here again, nor would I hesitate to recommend this hotel to family and friends. November 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dedham Holiday Inn I have over a months worth of stays so far this year. Property is old but in nice condition. The breakfast is a nice but I do with they had a pub style restaurant on property. These have a Asian place to eat which is very good but no pub style foods.. There are a lot of places to eat in walking distance! The TV is a very slow system and forget about channel surfing. Very long load times to switch channels but if you know your station you can get to it. Wireless works fine. Staying again next week! November 4, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than I expected! The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of parking. From the minute we walked in the door the staff was helpful and courteous. Our room was more than adequate with very comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. The only thing I would recommend to change would be the room doors. When the room next to us came back, early in the morning, we were woken when there door closed with a loud slam. October 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast and banging of doors on hallway We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The quality of the room was excellent but the breakfast food was not nice, it looked like it was slapped together. 3 times we had asked for tea and 3 times it came out cold. The bedroom door was at least 1and inches short, therefore hall way light was coming under the door and the closing of doors by other tenants was very annoying in particular from 5am each morning. In relation to the swimming pool, the floor under the water looked very dirty, this was very evident but in general the area around it and the changing areas were very clean. Overall we would recommend this hotel. October 25, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Won't stay again We were there for only 1 night. The next morning housekeeping was knocking on our door by 9 a.m. Checkout was not until 11. They should be told when people check out and not disturb them. About 20 minutes after the housekeeping people disturbed us, someone (I believe it was maintenance) tried to come into our room without even knocking. Luckily we had locked the door so they could not get in. October 24, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Basic Room....Great Sleep! We had a positive stay here. The location was great...easily accessible from the highway. Plenty of free parking. The King room we had was clean; the bed was VERY comfortable. All staff we came in contact with were very polite and helpful. Our Platinum status with IHG was rewarded with a verbal acknowledgement, a box of chocolate truffles, and, on request, a refrigerator sent to our room with the $10 per day fee waived. The King room came with NO refrigerator or microwave nor was there free breakfast at the hotel. We solved the breakfast dilemma by eating in the buffet at the Whole Foods Store located across the street in Legacy Place shopping center. The only negatives I can think of involve the age of the building and the swimming pool. The building is older, which means things are a little shop worn (carpets, etc.) The pool is indoors and smells VERY strongly of chlorine; I just couldn't make myself go in the pool because of this. If you enjoy riding public transportation, the Mattapan Red Line is a 20 minute drive from the hotel. We used the "T" for our day in Boston by parking our car ($4) at the station and buying day passes ($11pp---good for subway, buses and some ferries.) WAY less stress than driving IN Boston and trying to find inexpensive parking. October 24, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Bed we requested a room with 2 dbl beds for our party of 4 adults; but were told upon check in that only king rooms were available! at check-in they were to bring sheets and pillows to the room for the sofa-sleeper ... but had to call and physically go to the desk 3 hours later to get them delivered... even then they forgot the pillows! the one king bed, must have been previously owned by a VERY HEAVY individual ... as there was no way to avoid rolling to the low point in the matress; the center! all night long we constantly bumped in the center and had to crawl our way back to the edge! bathrooms are extremely small .... pool was okay, but had to ask desk for towels. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Price high and hallway noise We were driving from Pittsburgh to Boston and did not know how far we would make. It is a long drive so we didn't want to secure hotel rooms and then not make it. So we paid a ridiculous price for rooms that had carpets that were filthy. They put us at the end of a long corridor. It felt like we were in a motel. Then we were woken up by someone shampooing (all of things) the carpets in the hallway right outside our door with our do not disturb sign on the door. When my husband opened the door the man said" oh, were you asleep?'. Then we were sitting in the lobby and heard the front desk give a $40 less room rate to a gentleman who just came in inquiring.
