I made a last minute reservation using the IHG app on my android smart phone. Rec'd the free upgrade for platinum members to an 8th floor suite without even having to ask. I was comfortably able to work late into the evening. I like this hotel, great for business travel to Norwood.

A solid place to stay for a weekend if on a tight budget while visiting downtown Boston.
The staff were wonderful and friendly. Dawn and Andrea at the front desk were very helpful. Juan and Pierre made you feel very comfortable and welcome as shuttle drivers.

Discovered this hotel during a business travel to Boston. I found this quiet place to sleep. It offers good facilities on place. Beds and rooms are confortable, with a good breakfast to begin the day.

I blocked rooms for my wedding reception at this hotel. Not only did we (the couple) get a free night, but also upgraded amenities. Our king size bed was wonderful, the terrace was spacious (had it not been 30 degrees out, we would've spent more time there), and the room was clean. Other than a minor hiccup with booking online, our guests had a delightful stay and I only heard positive feedback from them. We were even notified that there would be a conference coinciding with our booking dates and that it might get a little noisy. We had the option to change rooms (we didn't), which I thought was very considerate.
If you have an event in the area and want good quality for a great price, then The Holiday Inn Dedham Boston is a great place to stay.

The check-in and the stay that night was above average. What was awful was our breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We came down at 10am and we were the only people in the restaurant ordering. We waited 20 minutes after ordering off the menu for our breakfast and then another 8 minutes for the toast that should have accompanied the meal. To top it off, we were overcharged for what we ordered and it took us over ten minutes to get a corrected bill that we could pay.. We would recommend going somewhere else for breakfast.

We have stayed at a few hotels in the Dedham, Norwood area. This was one of the better ones. Kind and courteous staff. Clean rooms and breakfast the following morning was very good.

Hotel is convenient to where I work when in the area and corporate preferred hotel,but the lack of a an electronic bill from the web site is unsatisfactory this day and age.
They also will not post the bill to our corporate expense system. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express in the middle of now where and had these services.
Hire an IT guy that can figure this out, and get into the 21st century already.

I HAVE BEEN STAYING OCCASIONALLY FOR 12 YEARS NOW. IT IS THE FIRST TIME I WROTE A REVIEW. THEY OFTEN GIVE AN UPGRADE TO THE PLATINUM MEMBERS. THE KING BED ROOM WITH SOFA BED IS NICE ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO DO SOME WORK IN THE EVENINGS. THE BREAKFAST NOOK IS JUST AVERAGE, BUT A CONVENIENT START TO THE DAY. THE ATTACHED ASIAN RESTAURANT IS DECENT. OVERALL IT IS A GOOD VALUE FOR THE $. YOU CAN SPEND MUCH MORE FOR SIMILAR ACCOMMODATIONS IN THE AREA. OH AND I FORGOT TO MENTION THERE IS A NICE SIZED INDOOR POOL IF YOU HAVE TIME FOR A SWIM. I'LL BE STAYING THERE AGAIN.

The Bad - Location was kind of a pain to get to even though it is just off I-95. There's some odd turns including a left turn at an intersection marked with only a RIGHT pointing green arrow. Ariadne Road kind of sneaks up on you after you come out of the confusion of making that left turn. Beware the potholes and speed bump that immediately greet you on Ariadne.
Intake was quick and the staff was friendly. A very minor flaw in the intake was that I did not have my IHG status recognized nor was I offered the usual complimentary gift. My olio was IHG though and my points were displayed.
Moving on. Room was comfortable. A mix of updated and the worn. Bathroom door could probably stand to be replaced and a better cosmetic job on the room door could have been done on the switch over from key to keyless. Bed was perfect. Darkness was good. TV worked great. All in all, room was what I've come to expect and why I am loyal to IHG.
One last compliment. There was a blind woman in the room next to us. We had seen her struggling with her card when we checked in and opened the door for her. One of the front desk staff brought this woman coffee the next morning and gave us a very cheerful "Have a nice day!" as we passed.
It's close to stores, pharmacies and a very nice sports bar with GREAT food.
I recommend this property even if a bit pricey for the distance from the Bay.

The rooms need to be completely redone. It seems like everything I touched was falling apart. The HVAC system in the tower building has no temperature control, only heat, or cool, or off. Rooms and especially the bathrooms are tiny; you need to reach over the sink to turn the shower on. This hotel should not be a Holiday Inn. The rooms in the lower wing building are acceptable. The staff was very accommodating, but the are dealing with a terrible property. Stay away

It is an okay hotel. The property was a little old and outdated. I was asked to sign some standard policy (like pet or non smoking, etc. I don't even remember what I signed) when checking in. Feel like that is very outdated process and unnecessary in this modern days.
Laundry room was clean and washer and dryer were clean.

The night I stayed we had 12" - 14" of snow. When I went to my car it was completely cleaned off and the snow all around my vehical removed. That was a pleasant surprise, as the first thing I'm thinking is I have to clean off my car and ram it through a pile of snow to get out of my parking spot. Thank you!

I'm traveling on business and am staying at this hotel for 4 weeks. In just the 1st week, I've been very impressed with the front desk staff. Helpful, accommodating, and friendly sum it up perfectly. All the staff are nice and the rooms are clean and updated.

Do not disturb sign means clean towels and toiletries left on your door with a note of just in case you need them. Wednesday night manager reception means friendly staff that want to make sure everything is going well with your stay along with the appetizers and beverages. Other locations should definitely visit and take notes.

Although the elevators were out of order, I didn't mind all that much (I was on 2nd fl.). Room was large enough and clean; some rug stains but not awful. Bed was comfortable, HVAC was good and quiet. Nice TV. Staff was very nice and my free breakfast was great! Definitely will be back.

The only thing that was very annoying was, there is no bathroom fan. However there is a ceiling vent, that is supposed to clear the air, but if you hold a tissue to the vent, it won't stay, indicating very poor air circulation. The bathroom odor never clears out. VERY ANNOYING. I discussed this with management and their response, that is just the way it is. The Holiday Inn in Laytham NY is the same way. Not a good system.

We stay at this hotel a couple of times per year when in town to visit family. There are other properties closer to family but we have always been treated like valued guests at the Dedham Holiday Inn. We were welcomed and checked in promptly and the room was upgraded just as promised. The restaurant staff was wonderful and friendly and they really took care of us. My youngest wasn't feeling well one morning and they put together a little breakfast treat and juice for us to bring to back to the room for him. The indoor heated pool is a treat. It is very clean and the warm water was great for a relaxing swim especially when it's below freezing outside. The fitness center is well maintained with 2 TV's so it was nice to go work out while watching ESPN then taking a swim to start the day. The pool was also a great place ot have the family over to sit and socialize while the kids swam. We are bit biased because we have stayed at the Dedham Holiday Inn for many years. It is an older property and the rooms are smaller than newer built hotels but it's been updated and the furnishings are new and the bedding is very comfortable. The TV's in the room were great with HD channels. The cleaning staff was also very friendly and did a superb job. The location is great. We walked to Legacy Place for shopping and to nearby restaurants for dinner. We had a great Christmas vacation and plan to be back in a couple of months. Thanks to all the staff and the ladies at the front desk like Kelly, Robin and Joyce for making our stay a wonderful one.

We stayed using the "Boston Deals" package -- which came with breakfast for two. The French toast on the breakfast buffet was good, and the fresh melon and strawberries were nice to have. The kids, of course, ate for free. Our "executive" room would have been a standard-size room at a lot of hotels. Parking was ample. The WiFi worked well. Our room and the lobby were clean. Indoor pool was nothing special, but the water was warm.

We got in late and were greeted at the front desk by Robyn. She was very pleasant and efficient and got us off to our room quickly! The location is between Boston and Worcester, which was perfect for us. Definitely a location we will use again in the future!

All though I am originally from the Boston area and still have most of my Boston accent, I may have confused your front desk people when I asked a question. As they seemed to think I should have known the answer. I have been away from the Boston area for nearly 20 years. The check in clerk was just matter of fact when asked about dining. The next day the front desk person was dealing with a customer on the telephone and I advised her I would wait, but to her insistence I asked the question and well lets say I should have waited. Left a real bad taste in my mouth. That morning there was a young man perhaps a teen spreading salt on the ice who gave me more attention and was a 100% more helpful. I think you have your staff in the wrong positions. I left the would I recommend unchecked as I am not sure I would or would not at this point.

The hotel is in a great location, right off Rte. 95. It is down the street from any kind of store you want. There a 2 sections, the older 2 story hotel and the newer high rise. I was in the older portion, which the hallways could use an update.
