Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Breakfast great staff The staff is always pleasant and the breakfast is a great deal. The bed was excellent - the room was easy to keep comfortable. Enjoyed the bar for Monday night football and good Happy Hour deals. November 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient and safe area to stay This is a nice hotel and very convenient to access the Cherry Creek area. It is safe to stay and has a safe and secure parking garage close to the rooms. I loved the Cherry Creek walking path nearby for exercise and fresh air. Hotel staff was exellent - made me feel welcome and I will stay here again. November 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location but hotel feels old Good location but hotel feels old. Confortable room but trouble with power socket. Too cold the first night. Staff OK but not great. Breakfast is allright, continental, they are quick on the coffee and the bill so that's good if in a hurry November 21, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good but reality is a little different The room looks very nice. They have all been remodeled and upgraded. There are some neat LED lights around the headboard of the bed but it took a bit to figure out how to turn them on and off. The bathroom was the worst part, specifically the shower. I don't know if it was the remodel or if they were always like this but it is about 6'4" tall (im sure it is much taller but it feels that way.) Stepping into the shower makes someone of average height like me (around 5'10") have to duck! The first night we got in late and the person checking us in recognized us for being rewards club members, which was nice. He said something to the effect of, "thanks for being a member, im going to put you in a nice room." Well I would hate to see what the others were like but ours was directly across from the icemachine and on the side of the building facing a busy road. I didn't need an alarm to wake me up @ around 6am when the traffic started to heat up and woke up several more times during the 3 day stay when people used the ice machine in the night. After checking in, our keys would not work in the elevator. You have to use your room key to go to the guest floors so we lugged our luggage out and walked back to the front desk to get new keys. I wish that I could say this was the only time this happened but it was the first of many! The next evening we spent some time in the lounge and out by the kind of neat little fire pit area. The bartender was fairly surly but didn't bother us even when she was closing down, just asking us to finish up our drinks and pay our tab. The real issue was when I tried to go up to my room a few times during the evening. The key first didn't work in the elevator. The new one I got didn't work in the room so I had to go back down to the lobby. This happened multiple times and the front desk woman treated me like it was my fault that this convoluted system was having trouble! The real kicker for me came on the third and final night. We had been out all day and came back to get cleaned up and head out to dinner. We were running late and were very dismayed to find that the shower had stopped working. The water wouldn't get hot. The sink was fine but we didn't have time to get someone to fix it and were leaving very early the next morning. Again, the desk staff took an all too familiar attitude of calculated non-interest. Not actually rude, per say. Just very un-involved and generally uncaring. The parking ramp is also a pretty dangerous place but I can't really fault the hotel for that. It was just another little thing in a string of mediocre experiences that will make me look a little harder for another place to stay next time I am in town. November 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Average Everything was clean, the staff were friendly, and I appreciated the underground parking and the VERY cozy bed. The coffee brewer is the handiest thing in the world as it also makes boiling water for teas and instant foods (which I had with me). On the downside, the room was very drafty (it was snowing outside), and I had to use linens to block the cold air coming in from the window. I ordered breakfast the second morning and didn't get it; nobody offered to compensate for this. There is no hot tub which is kind of a must for me when paying for this caliber of hotel. There is no place to change in the pool area (???). Overall, however, not bad. November 19, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by If You Can, Stay Elsewhere If you are planning to be at this hotel during the week, you might have a better experience than I did. If you are planning to stay there over the weekend, be prepared that there is no shuttle service, the hotel offers no continental breakfast or even a cup of coffee to guests in the morning (with the exception of utilizing your in-room coffee maker). Also, the restaurant is not open for lunch on weekends either. You can't even buy a good cup of coffee on the property during the weekend unless you choose to pay for your breakfast in the restaurant, because the coffee shop is closed on weekends too. If you request items from the front desk for housekeeping to bring to you, don't expect the items to show up; they most likely won't. There was also a very loud disturbance the last night we were staying there, when two very loud and intoxicated men (probably stumbling back to their room from the topless bar located across the street from the property), were slamming doors, fighting and screaming at each other for a good 1 1/2 hours. No one from the staff did anything about it. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean. That is the extent of my compliments. If you can, stay elsewhere when in the Cherry Creek area. It's worth it to pay a little more a night and get extra comforts that are normally offered to guests at a hotel. November 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Broncos Game This hotel is very nice and clean, I can say it was alot nicer that a few of the Holiday Inn's I have stayed at. Purpose was a Broncos vs Chargers game, and we took a taxi from this location to the stadium and was a fair price. If I go back to Denver next year for another Broncs and Chargers rival Division game, I will stay here at this hotel. November 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful Staff I had just run a marathon and was anxious for a shower and rest. The staff was helpful in getting a room arranged as quickly as possible even though they had been booked full the night before and had a lot of rooms to prepare. November 16, 2014
