Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very unwelcoming This hotel may be a little better than my ratings imply, but unfortunately, the first three encounters I had with the staff here were so negative that they shadowed my perspective quite a bit. There is a vibe about this hotel and its staff that is very unwelcoming. Let me give you a couple of examples: First of all, there is no method for dealing with early check-ins. I had to stop at the front desk three separate times before I was allowed to check in. It would have been very nice to have a system in place (as many other hotels do) where a guest can check in electronically and then be notified by phone or text when their room is ready. Even better would be staff members who know how to make their guests feel welcome, even if it is before 3:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the staff member I encountered seemed to go out of her way to tell me all the things she could or would not do for me, and never once offered any actual assistance or hospitality. Secondly, there are no “privacy please” signs for the doors. I thought maybe the sign for my room was just missing, but then I saw a door where someone had written “Do Not Disturb” on the room service order card and hung it on the outside of their door. I was not so creative, so consequently, housekeeping knocked on my door before 9:00 in the morning, which is a situation I would have preferred to avoid. Finally, as others have mentioned, there is a huge problem with elevators in this hotel. There is no way to take stairs down to the lobby, so every guest is funneled into three slow elevators, which get very full during busy times of day. Subsequently, the guests on lower floors often have to try and squeeze in, or wait for the next one. June 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Return Trip Not as Good as Two Years Prior I checked out this morning and feel compelled to leave feedback based on my experience. I stayed here a few years ago without problems, but things have changed. When I arrived on Monday, Day 1, I was put in a room and noticed that the Air Conditioner was running, but was not blowing any cool air. I went down to the desk to complain and they moved me to another room on another floor. They changed keys, and unfortunately, by the time I got back up to the new room, the keys did not work, so I had to again go to the front desk to have keys reprogrammed. First night was okay in the new room. On Day 2, I got up early to take a shower and the drain in the bathtub was clogged and bathtub filled up while I showered. I stopped by the desk and asked that the problem be reported and repaired. I arrived back at Hotel at about 4 PM and after having to go back to the desk to have my room key reprogrammed again to enter the room, I noticed that no repairs had been made to the tub, so I called down and the front desk seemed unaware that the problem had been reported. The maintenance person finally showed up and cleaned out the drain with a drill, repair was complete, and the drain worked. But later that night while asleep, I started to notice the odor of cigarettes coming into the room. I walked out on the balcony and heard some people talking outside from a lower floor, and it appeared they were smoking. On Day 3, I noticed that the elevators were slow to report to my floor, so I reported the problem to the front desk when I departed for the day. There was one elevator that seemed to be frozen and not moving. When I arrived back at the end of the day, I noticed that there was a group of people waiting to get on elevators, and I noticed that the same elevator seemed to still be stalled. I again reported the problem to the front desk. Day 3 is not over yet. When I went to use my cell phone and computer to connect to the Internet that evening, I found that I could not connect. The technical support people were finally helpful in getting me connected and stated that the problem was with my computer and telephone. I don't know how that could be as I had already been using the Internet in the Hotel for 2 days without problems. When I woke up on Day 4, all was good with the Internet, but Day 4 was not over yet. Besides needing to have my door keys reprogrammed again to enter the room, that night, during the 3rd quarter of the NBA Playoffs, the Satellite TV went out for about 20 minutes. Things happen, but at that point, I summed it up to my choice to stay in this Hotel. Unfortunately, my experience this time much different than two years earlier. Also, the parking at this location is very limited, and I was told I could not park in the adjacent lot next door. With all the problems I had, I won't be staying at this location in the future. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by There's Work to Do Here The hotel is older, but could be a great property. But it is tired - and the staff is as well. Nobody is rude, but nothing indicates the staff are particularly customer focused. Problems were addressed, but without an appropriate apology for inconvenience or sense of urgency. 3 calls to get a stained chair that did not work at the desk over a two hour period is not attentive or customer focused. Restaurant and room service lack healthy choices. I love IHG and it's typically my first choice. I'd not select this property again given the choice. Not a disaster but one to avoid if you can. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just fine, served its purpose I stayed here because I missed a connecting flight from the Denver airport. I picked this hotel because they had a free airport shuttle and rooms available. The room was comfortable and clean, and met my needs. The breakfast was nothing special but adequate. The airport shuttle was convenient and right on time. The service was very good. I don't really have any complaints, except for the fact that I thought the hotel was rather expensive. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have chosen such a pricey hotel. June 10, 2016

Good points - location, atmosphere, a couple of managers who actually cared. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel. Friendly staff Overall nice experience. The Hotel was better than expected. Restaurant was a little pricey. Main floor layout was odd. One of the restaurant areas takes away a path to the elevator. No exits at the rear of the building where most of the parking is located. Little parking in front of the building. Ask not to be placed on the street side. Noisy. June 6, 2016
