Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable bed but great service Booked an executive room and was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room - nice layout and sofa and chair a great addition. Bathroom was small but very clean and no signs of age or wear and tear. We had breakfast delivered to our room which was delivered exactly on time - the fruit juice wasn't the best and the cooked breakfast a little on the cold side but overall we enjoyed. There was a little noise outside but surprisingly quiet being a city centre hotel and a Saturday night. The only issue we had was the bed - we expected a bigger bed with an executive room but also it was quite uncomfortable - the centre dipped which you could see just looking at it. April 21, 2016

Only real negatives were the car park arrangements are misleading and the food (whilst being good) was limited in choice. However, most important thing was it was clean and comfortable and all staff I dealt with were friendly and polite. April 21, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location in city centre Being in Derby for the first time, this is a great location. Right next to the bus station and Intu. Also lots of local shops right near by. Stayed for over 7 nights. Room was clean and modern, bathroom as well. Blackout curtains a nice touch. Staff is helpful and polite. Cleaning is done as scheduled. Didn't experience the in hotel restaurant as there were so many other outside local choices. Gym is an average size with two treadmills, a dumbbell rack, and a number of other machines. Small complaints: Experienced a false fire alarm and had to be outside in the cold drizzle. Staff didn't seem prepared to handle/deal with the large crowd - no organization. Then fire alarm set off again the next night for only a short time. Two nights in a row fire alarm going off - and on a weekend. Also, maybe only my room or floor, but water pressure in shower was basically a trickle. I've experienced this before in other older UK hotels, so I guess par for the course. But didn't expect it in such a "modern" hotel. At least the water was hot. April 14, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Front of house to die for.. This hotel is a great example of what a chain can do in a city centre. It is our second stay and we have been basically happy both times. However the star of the show this time is the front of house David. Always happy, always funny, fiercely loyal to brand and passionate about service. If he has his way this hotel will continue to go from strength to strength. March 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff overworked They were often short staffed and as a result service suffered. Breakfast took over 15 minutes to be restocked on both mornings i was there. I didn't get my coffee until i requested one halfway through my breakfast. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and can't praise the gentleman enough. March 30, 2016
