Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Standard and Cheap I felt that I overpaid for what type of room I was given. I had requested a nicer king size room overlooking the pool with a private balcony. When we got there the front desk staff was not inviting. Her demeanor was so bland and not caring that we were even staying. The room was very standard and outdated. The "private balcony" over looking the pool was NOT private but a walkway where everyone could walk past your slider. And the pool was on the other side of the hotel and we could barley see it. Also this hotel was located right at the airport, so we could hear loud jets flying in all the time. I paid way more then what was offered. I was moving across country and stayed at two Holiday inn hotels and my advice is this hotel could take some pointers from their Holiday Inn express Amarrillo west hotel. I will not stay at this location again. January 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by THIS Hotel is AWESOME!!!!!!! I have stayed at over 25 Holiday Inns in the past two years and this one is TOP SHELF!!!!! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff OMG!!!!! was amazing!!! and sooooo helpful. Is close to the air port so expect to hear an occasional airplane...but other than that. is close to everything and a wonderful experience. Our association's convention wouldn't be a convention if we held it anywhere else. The food in 2015 was extraordinary! EXCELLENT!!! I stay in the same room on the first floor hallway every year and it is always easy for me to get to and comfortable. Thank you. January 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by People make a difference I am a frequent business traveler and have the ability to choose which hotels I want to stay when traveling in certain geographies. I enjoy frequenting a location and being loyal to folks that are genuine and sincere when they welcome you back, ask about family and really mean it. Let's face it, for the most part, facilities and costs are all pretty relative. To me, if the employees care about me and the quality of my stay, you develop an allegiance to want to come back. I have stayed at the hotel frequently for the past several years. I see the same faces and that tells me that they are treated well from the hotel management. Otherwise, staff turnover would be much more frequent as you see in many other hotels. Compliments to management for providing a great working environment to retain senior employees. I will be back!!
