Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 0797shaz13 Fantastic Hotel
I stayed @ this hotel 4 my brothers wedding. It was fantastic from start 2 finish. The wedding & reception was in Warmsworth Hall. It was beautiful. When I checked in @ the hotel I was given a free upgrade to an executive room. It was the business, very clean, 2 double beds & a 3 quarter bed (2 adults & 2 kids), mini bar, flat screen tv, gorgeous bathroom, couldn't of asked 4 more. The breakfast was delicious, hot buffet, cereals, toast etc. 1 of the nicest places I have stayed in & fantastic value 4 money. All the staff were very nice aswel.
The only thing that spoilt it was the price of the drinks. £20 for a bottle of wine or £7 a glass, bit steep. A bottle of Magners & a glass of Rose cost me over £12 :(

I stay in many Holiday Inn hotels. This is my second stay and the welcome and service each time has been very cool. Not the most friendly and helpful staff. I had a tiny room and it was not that clean.
Another disapointing stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by peasy No Air Con and broken shower
As a long standing IHG platinum member I was extremely disappointed with my Doncaster stay. The one thing I always rely on for a stopover is a good sleep and a good shower. The Air con didn't work, the window didn't open properly and to keep cool I had to jam it open with a can from the minibar. The wall mounted shower did not work at all, and the hose attached to the taps was too short so I had to sit in the bath to wash my head! I did raise the issue at reception in the morning with the duty manager who said I would receive a call to discuss from the Hotel Manager. No call has been received and as a result my whole perception of IHG and Holiday Inn Doncaster has been tainted.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EJE11 Improved experience
Have stayed here four or five times now. Usually eat out in the evening following a disappointing experience the first time we stayed. However, we thought we would try the new dinner menu and were very impressed with the quality of the food and the very attentive service. The breakfast has always been very good.
Only niggle is the absence of free WiFi. Come on IHG this costs almost nothing and all your competitors provide this service.

Stayed here once before in 2011 and found the staff to be very polite and efficient. Food and service cannot be faulted. A good hearty Yorkshire meal served with big smiles. One minor hick-up at check-in, but we all make human errors. Recommend.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lainie22 Brilliant start to weekend break!
Travelling from Kent to Northumberland, The Holiday Inn, Doncaster, was an ideal stop over.
Excellent value for money, friendly staff, very comfortable room and good food. The bonus is the gym and swimming pool with steam room etc.
Our fourth stay, I'm sure there will be many more.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DrKiko worst IHG hotel I ever been! very rude staff
Horrible experience. I tour with bands and 80% of the time we stay in IHG hotels. I never met a more rude staff. No recognition at all as platinum member. They even charged me £220 more! I had to phone 4 times to get the money back. I would prefer to sleep in the street more than come back there.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Martmcgrgr Thank you Nigel,
Would just like to say, that as usual, we were not let down by Nigel and his team. We stopped off here for the night, while travelling down for our annual holiday. The rooms were spotless, the dining room staff were attentive and excellent. The food was great. Hope to be back again in the future.
Thanks again everyone for making our stay great.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JDK50 Pity about the Decor & Bathroom
Good place to stop, friendly staff, and very clean, the problem is that it is looking very dated, it has that old hotel smell, and needs a good freshen up. The room itself was roasting, and took a time for the A/C to work, and then you left the room and pulled out your card, back to beginning.
The bathroom unit above the sink looked as if it was getting ready to fall off the roof, reported to staff, the shower merely dribbled at me with no real intention of creating enough power to remove the soap from my hair. The bulb in the room blew, and took the fuses with it, so that took a few minutes to fix.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast in the morning was excellent with a good choice for everyone, from cooked to fruit and toast.
Overall I would stay here again as it was excellent value.

This hotel is really first class - exceptional value and great service! We were able to check into our family room early as we were going to a wedding at another venue. Room was clean, quiet, modern and suited all our needs! The staff were friendly and efficient. The pool & spa were an added bonus - the guy there was really helpful - towels provided & he managed to find a float for my kids! There was a gym - looked good but I didn't use it! It was very quiet throughout the hotel despite them being very busy! Will definitely use this hotel again ... Would highly recommend!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by scopie100 Good hotel
The hotel is well situated just of the A1 northbound and about 15 minutes from Doncaster centre/train station. There isn't much near by so expect to eat at the hotel or face a drive out. There are plenty of facilities at the hotel, pool, gym etc. The restaurant does good food and ample small bites and snacks through the day. Breakfast was very good with a great choice. The room was fine but very stuffy. No aircon just some poor imitation. I wouldn't want to stay here in the summer as our room got the sun all day and it soon heated up! Free internet due to my membership status which worked well. Nonetheless, I still feel Plat/Royal Amb get treated so much better abroad. I have stayed all over the world and all over the UK and it is always the same........your membership is so much more recognised away from the UK. I did receive a bag of 6 boiled sweets though at check in!! A good hotel and recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JEFFNB A Comfortable Stopover
Situated just off the A1(M) near Doncaster this Inn made a very convenient stopover on our way from Dover to Scotland.
There was nothing to fault from our very pleasant check-in to our equally pleasant check-out.
The room was clean well equipped and very comfortable.
The bar and the food was very good.
And I slept like a top.

Don't be put off by the location of being close to the A1 - you can't see or hear a thing!
Great staff, service and good food, not forgetting the gym, pool and jacuzzi as a bonus.
Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable.
Would book again if in the area.

We have stayed in quite a few Hoilday Inns and we were quite disappointed with this one. The staff are friendly but very officious, which makes for an unrelaxed atmosphere. The decor is a little old fashioned. It was not our best experince at a Holiday Inn.

We recently had our wedding at the Holiday Inn, Warmsworth and were amazed by the high standards from start to finish. Eddie, the wedding coordinator, was fabulous and made our day so special. All our guests who stayed here were delighted with the friendly staff and lovely rooms. Nothing was too much trouble. We cannot praise the staff enough. Facilities are exceptional. Highly recommended.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by peter0113 room not clean
Used priority points to reserve room and on arrival enquired about breakfast, was told could purchase vouchers for £10 per person. I pointed out that the website showed a £10 difference between room only and B&B, not per person. Receptionist said in a rather curt way "well you are getting your room for nothing" So it was not a good start to our stay.
We had booked an executive room for that extra bit of comfort which advertised chocolates and a minibar with complimentary mineral water. Firstly we couldn't use the TV as the remote control needed new batteries. Strangely the bottle of sparkling mineral water was not sparkling and tasted like dull tap water ? didn't notice if the seal on the top had been broken or not. The chocolates consisted of one two finger kit kat which we binned in disgust. We had some medication that required refrigeration but were shocked to see the condition of the fridge, there was a thick layer of dust across the top of the fridge door on which someone had wrote the word "CLEAN" in the dust. To accumulate so much dust the fridge cannot have been cleaned for weeks. To add insult to injury we were handed an envelope at reception and told it was a gift, it contained a welcoming letter and 4 boiled sweets wrapped in cling film. This was for an executive reservation !
I emailed the manager the following day with a photo of the thick dust on the fridge
but only received a reply saying sorry and that it would be reported to housekeeping.

Another fantastic stay. Still great, friendly staff and great food. Mouth is watering just thinking about our visit to the restaurant!! Great leisure facilities and nice executive room/facilities.
Only bug bear is the over-inflated wine prices. You expect to pay more for wines in restaurants but can buy the wine we had for £7-8 a bottle, around £16-17 in a similar quality hotel we also visit - £21.50 here. (Up from £19.95 last time we were there!) At least 300% mark up seems a bit excessive.
