But also found it was close to restaurants and fairly close to Dover Downs, which I didn't have time to visit. Overall, a pleasant experience, despite the cold weather in February. February 16, 2015

I applaud Kelli and Devorah. Who could ask for better. I can state that I get the red carpet treatment every time. Who could ask for more or better!!!!! You do need to bring smoking back in some rooms on the top floor for the dedicated patrons. February 11, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room generally clean but decor is dated My wife did not like the cricket sized bug that was found in the bathtub. Would have liked a small refrigerator in the room for cold storage of food/beverage items. In general the room expectation was not in the range of the 3 star rating that was advertised. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff I stayed at the Dover Holiday Inn for 6 nights. The staff was extremely professional and the hotel was clean and quiet. Despite learning that a member of the kitchen staff had been killed in an accident the night before the staff took care of my every need, the kitchen remained open and the food was great. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lackluster I have stayed at many IHG hotels, inns, and suites and have found that in my two stays at this location they have failed to meet my expectations. I had issues which required me to follow up multiple times with the staff to ensure they were complied with. The staff was unable to comply with basic requests without waiting for the evening auditor. My room was below standard in that there was visible damage. Furthermore I did not receive the room I booked via IHG, and was moved in to a lesser room. I was not offered anything for my platinum status (I have always been recognized at every other property). An upgrade would have been nice, seeing as they failed to meet the basic reservation I had placed. Overall, I am unimpressed with this property. They do not reflect the quality that IHG has shown me at their other locations. January 19, 2015
