With no bathroom heater, it remained cool even when the batroom door was left open.. Entire staff were professional and courteous. January 18, 2014

There were also misspelled signs in the hotel, and the remote control was not programmed correctly. In addition, access to the wi-fi password was not convenient. January 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love this hotel and the staff I always feel welcomed at this hotel. The staff is great and friendly and they always remember me. I have never had any problems here, my room is always clean and well kept. Plus it is a great location with a K-mart right next door so if you forget anything you can just walk across the parking lot and grab what you need. Oh and did I mention they have a great cook there, Fred. He is also very welcoming and friendly and his breakfast is always wonderful, even with special orders, even if you just want 5 French fries. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Close to Everything Stayed over a Hoilday weekend with pets. Room was clean and larger then most other pet friendly hotels. Though it was a Hoilday weekend staff was friendly and everything orderly. The room was beautiful with colors and furniture and bathroom updated to a higher end material. No typical chew marks or noticeable it's a pet room points. Easy access to exterior doors. Would have been great if we had a pet potty area and easy access to trash disposal. But it seems this hotel is new to pets overnight as a usual guest didn't know pets were allowed and stopped us to say so and we corrected them. The parking lot had plenty of space and access. The beds needed to be updated for my taste and comfort they were extremely firm and tough mattress but the bedding was soft and enjoyable. No mini fridge or microwave in our room which isn't a huge deal breaker as we always stay in a hotel when visiting family and only a place to sleep and shower is enough. They offered kids eat free but we didn't use that but would have if I had remembered. December 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thanksgiving We arrived on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The front desk was very amiable and efficient. Check in only took a couple of minutes. The room was large and clean. The bathroom had been done over recently. The HVAC was fairly quiet. The hotel itself was reasonably quiet and sleeping was comfortable on the Kingsize bed. Overall experience was enjoyable and will probably stay there again when in Dover. December 4, 2013

However when I got into the second room the toilet didn't flush, however the staff was really nice with correcting the problem. I probably wouldn't stay there anymore. November 4, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Gives other Holiday Inns a bad reputation Start to finish a horrible experience. Problems checking in, front desk staff was not friendly, we felt like we were bothering them to check in. The door handle to our room was broken, wall paper was peeling, bathroom soap dish had cigarette burns in a non smoking room. The view from our window was the uncleaned and disgusting green, swamp looking pool. Our room keys were deactivated Sunday night. The restaurant wasn't open on a busy weekend where the hotel was fully booked and they had raised the room rates $100 a night..... Finally when we couldn't take anymore they attempted to charge our credit card $6000 because they didn't bother to make sure they had the correct room bill and kept running the card, thank god the bank was stopping the charge! Will never stay here again! Makes me want to not even stay at another Holiday Inn and I'm a rewards member!!! October 21, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Service and very clean The room was immaculate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The TV was terrible. The rooms had Direct TV and we could not get many channels most kept coming in "can't find signal" missed my morning shows. Also, we stayed on a busy Sunday in Dover which was the NASCAR race, the bar was closed and so was the restaurant. We had to go out for food and drinks in the evening which was very inconvenient. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay 10 days spent at this hotel from the 25th August until 4th September.My son and I stayed at the Holiday Inn, a welcolme even if we arrived after midnight,everyone was very nice and helpful. The rooms are a nice size,clean and very comfortable not to mention the beds they are so comfy it's a hard job to leave them in the morning!!The pool we used only once,regret it now.Just across the parking lot is a Big K Mart,very useful for anything you need.Position of hotel super right in the center of everything.Would advise friends to stay here,if in the Dover area. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the Holiday Inn experience that I'm used to... It wasn't all bad but the hotel needs improved cleaning staff and management. I want to be clear that the front desk is wonderful- the problem is with Mgmt & Cleaning. The first stay was OK but unfortunately, my second was worse. 1.) Bring a copy of your confirmation; the computer system screwed up my reservation. Though this is probably not unique to this location, the onsite Manager did not have her phone so, she could not be contacted by the front desk- not professional or smart. When she finally returned (30mins later), the Manager was not friendly- as if I were inconveniencing her. Like the system error was my fault. 2.) The room during my 2nd stay was dusty. While, I understand this isn't a metro area, I do expect that the bathroom would have been checked so the customer isn't looking at dusty appliances. 3.) They suggest that customers park on the side of the building for quicker access to the elevator however; that side of the building does not have good lighting. 4.) The coffee pot (both rooms) was not operable August 28, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by There's better to be had in Dover Unfortunately this was the hotel that was picked by the couple holding a wedding reception. I'm glad I drove down from New England and checked-in on Friday because Saturday it was utter chaos. The staff would not let people check in before the 3 PM check in time, even though rooms were ready & available. Then at 3 PM it became a circus in the lobby - why the people behind the desk couldn't see what was going to happen was beyond me - they had to know that there would be chaos with over 40 people waiting on line to check in. We got room #138, down the end of the hall next to a fire door that could not be used as a in/out door, so this meant walking all the way back down the hall every time we wanted to go in or out. Trust me, I stayed in various hotels/motels in the Dover area, and there are better choices to be made, which include a breakfast. August 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Room When we arrived it was so busy they were booked the previous night so we had to wait to get our room but the staff was nice and did what they could for us. The desk clerk was very helpful with my reservation and canceling one of the rooms I reserved. The only problem I had was Sunday morning no one would answer the phone to room service and I had to go get our coffee and condiments. Other than that very nice stay. Will be returning!
