Mr.Tarun at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. Mr.Lokesh at the Gharana was taking good care of my family members and the ambience was excellent.

I stayed from dec 30 to feb 15 , 2013 with family on my relocation to Dubai .. the location was easy . schools were nearby .. and i was able to go to office with no problem .. the Hotel has a very good atmosphere.. food was great .. never boared.. something difficult when you stay long .. however staff manged that very well .. Break fast was great .. and staff was always willing to go extra miles for you ..Jim was well equiped.. wonderfull experiece .. I will recomment this to all .. we had Great time and it proved lucky for us .. we got our son in the school of our choise .. american school of Dubai and found the apartment we want to buy in Marina .. this helped us in settling in Dubai

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I was there for 7 nights. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.I felt very welcome. The pool at the rooftop is a good place to relax and enjoy the view.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 No upgrade with the Ambassador card
If only I would have known: since we booked an executive room, people at the front desk claimed that this was the upgrade we could get with the Ambassador card, even if we did pay for it already!!!
They told that we could not get any further upgrade because there was no such room available, very strange, since we didn't see him check any availability.

I have stayed at this hotel previously when in Dubai on business, I had to go to Dubai again in November 2012 on business & it was local to our offices so I stayed there once again. My stay there was again exceptional with very attentive staff & all very professional in each ofg their roles within the hotel. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for an excellent base for business or pleasure. I am returning to this hotel again next week 7 Feb 2013 for two weeks so I am looking forward once again to a lovely stay.

I return to this hotel whenever I am in Dubai. Not because it is particularly glamorous or luxurious but simply because it is consistently comfortable and the staff at the reception, concierge and on the door are warm, welcoming and efficient making me feel like a valued client.

The check in process went smoothly, the stay was great, however the checkout process was a nightmare. Even though i called down at least a half hour prior to checking out the bill still was not ready and it took 30 minutes to check out. The clerk seemed confused as to what needed to be done. One of the reasons is they will not do the final bill until you have left the room and the mini bar has been inventoried. I have been staying with holiday inns for over 30 years. The company I work for pays the bill. They know where i work and how to reach me. It gives me the feeling that they don't trust my word. The mini bar issue should not be a reason for delayed checkout.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with king size beds over the New Year holiday 2012/13. The suite was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Every staff that we've encountered were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very close to the Metro and Mall of the Emirates. We would highly recommend visitors to stay at this Holiday Inn if they're looking for a comfortable stay with a reasonable price.

Being a Platinum Royal Ambassador, I usually don't write reviews unless I see exceptional quality service or the opposite end of this spectrum. The experience is always a wonderful one at the Holiday Inn Al Barsha. One thing that gets me is that eveyone is genuine. Even the cleaners stop their work and greet you with a real smile. One staff who always stands out is Mr. Tarek. In contrast to some of the IHG brand hotels where the staff don't even acknowledge that you are a priority club memeber let alone a platinum.

We always stay at this hotel when in Dubai because it is conveniently located, it has plenty of parking under the building and you can drive in and out yourself without annoying valet parking. The interior of the hotel and the rooms are spacious and the central courtyard atrium and skylight lends a pleasant atmosphere. The Thai restaurant is also great. My only complaint is that the downstairs bar is a smoking area so we cannot use it but there is a pleasant roof top bar if its during the winter.

Excellent and very friendly staff, good stuff at all. However in the evening the bar chairs are nearly occupied by friendly ladies looking for contacts, having just 1 drink all over 3 to 4 hours and are distributing their mobile numbers to single male guests. Thats a bit disturbing if you would like to have just a drink, nothing else.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel using Reward Points while we visited the Dubai 7s. We were upgraded without having to ask and were constantly recognised and thanked for being being a Platinum Reward Club member from check-in to check-out. Unfortunately due to visiting the 7s tournament we did not have chance to sample the restaurants but our room was very comfortable and nothing was too much for the staff at the H.I. Al Barsha. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to anyone else.

The internet was expensive and awful . I think it should be free. it kept cutting out and at 75 DH per day was the most expensive enywhere I have been . Even at the Movenpick it is free.The beach was dirty and crowded and has graffiti on the walls. the shuttle drivers were geat and the Dolpin bar was nice. The other bar downstairs smelled like cigarette smoke and was disgusting.. The workout room was excellent.

This hotel has a great team running it.
Every single team member makes you feel welcome.
Management are friendly.
Concierge and Reception desks are very helpful.
This time Housekeeping left me an Elephant made from two towels holding a chocolate bar. Click photo to enlarge.
Little thing like this make a huge difference.
The F&B manager and the Head Chef made me a Lebanese dinner to make up for the fact that the Lebanese Restaurant was closed for an update.
The Indian Restaurant is excellent.
I could not recommend this hotel more.

I have probably stayed over 25 nights in this location over last twelve months, however even tough I warned them in advance that I wanted to have cofortbale room to stay for 5 nights, the quality of initial room was terrible, very difficult access to the wardrope; in addition they charged twice the room rates of my collegaues while they were already in the hotel and have already cheked in with their own credit cards; warned them and nothing happaned the first day and had to wait for the second day for corrective action. I will not go back to this hotel again. Only one lady at the reception area does recognize the value of a loyal customer management does not care.
