Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay in Dubuque My husband and I were visiting Dubuque to see the Titanic exhibit and generally enjoy the city. The Holiday Inn was very well located and the rooms and facility are very nice. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We would stay there again if we are in Dubuque July 27, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not for the business traveler The very poor, unusable broadband service prevented me from communicating with my workplace server causing me to lose two nights of work. Hotel staff upgraded me to a suite but the new room was no better. Holiday Inn markets their product to business travelers, so this is totally unacceptable. The rooms have a dirty, very dusty artificial potted plant that I don't think was ever cleaned, which sits above and touches the coffee machine and microwave food prep area.. To the staff, this is TOTALLY GROSS! Get rid of the artificial potted dust catcher, clean up the coffee machine area. July 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very good experience Everything was great. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the room was nice and dark in the morning. We love the noon checkout. July 16, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room cleanliness obviously not important here... We stayed here because of a convention being held at this hotel. The wait to check in was over 15 minutes at the front desk, before we were even acknowledged. The lobby did look nice and appeared to be clean. Our room looked nice and clean to start out with, until you actually got in it. The cleaning staff is absolutely the weak point here. The room had two queen beds. One of the beds had hairs on both the sheets and pillows before anyone even sat on it. Thankfully I travel with my own pillow, but having to shake off the sheets is really gross. The bathroom also looked nice until you could tell the floor hadn't been swept at all. Under the counter vanity you could see dust and hair on the floor. I can look past a couple things but it's hard to look past this many in the same room. If I hadn't been told that they were booked full, I would have asked to be switched into a clean room instead. The other main issue is the parking. There isn't much available that leads directly into the hotel. Which isn't the end of the world by any means. However, if you have to park in the lowest level of the parking structure, you have to go up a flight of stairs to get access to the hotel. Again not horrible, except that the lowest level had about half of the lights out, so it was good and dark. Also the stairs had caution tape wrapped around the railing, which had been ripped as some people must have risked using them. The caution tape was up because the cement was all busted on a couple stairs on the second flight up. So unless you wanted to risk falling, you had to back track outside and around the block to get into the hotel. So not worth the trouble. I would not book here again! July 16, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel From the outside as well asd the Lobby Commons Fish Fly season be prepared for them this time of year. Found 3 Fish Flys in my room. Big spill stain on the floor. Bathroom was decent no issues their. Overall if I had to stay here I would again. July 9, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by College Visit We were registering our child at a local university and stayed at the conveniently located Holiday Inn Dubuque. The hotel is conveniently located with access to restaurants, the highway, nightlife, and the local universities. When arriving late with a full hotel, the parking is not ideal. The hotel is clean and has a lounge and restaurant on the premisis, which was nice. The room itself was neat and clean. However, after tuning on the A/C and going to bed, we awoke to a warm room that was not cooling down at all. The different settings were tried, but nothing workied to keep the air on and cool the room. We've stayed in hotels often enought ot know how to work the A/C. By the time this was noticed, it was too late to try to move. Overall, the room was comfortable, with nice pillows and bed. The bathroom and ameneties were also well appointed. I would stay at this property again, but check the A/C immediately. July 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Dubuque/Galena Stay was perfect for a wedding at the winery. Hotel has a great view of the river and on the 4th of July you can see the fireworks right out your window! July 7, 2015
