Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Disapointed in staff not helping to find a lost item We stayed at this hotel for valentine's day and had gone in the hot tub at the hotel (which is very small). I hung my swimming suit behind the door on the hook to dry. We left the next morning and after unpacking our stuff I realized that I had left my swimming suit behind the door. I called right away but didn't get a call back until a day later. The gal said sorry but they didn't have it. I asked her to look again because I am 100% sure it is there and know exactly where I left it. She said there is nothing there. I did call and speak with the hotel manager regarding it and how she was not the friendliest person to deal with. Unfortunately, it never showed up and they didn't seem too concerned. I was very disappointed in the fact that a missing item like this wouldn't have been turned in and returned to me. February 26, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Upscale Holiday Inn Very nice, upscale hotel. Only problem was the hot water heater was over used. I guess it was a busy weekend. So, the day of check out, no hot water. The staff was friendly. Rooms super clean. Overall a very nice value. February 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dubuque Holiday Inn Downtown The hotel is ok over all. The service staff in the bar area is very good and friendly. There does need to be updates done in the bar area. It is dark and outdated. The suites need to have full showers and not just the tiny stand up showers that are not comfortable. The whirlpools are not necessary. February 23, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 In need of updating Property is classified as a non-smoking hotel. You sign an agreement that says you will be charged extra fees if you smoke in the room. Great! ...until you start walking down the hall to your room and you start smelling that old smoky hotel smell. . Then you get in the room and it smells like someone has been smoking in there for the last 10 years. Even the bed smells like it's got smoke in it. Not impressed at all. Not quite certain why this room had a window. There wasn't a view - at all. It wasn't like the property was booked solid. How about coughing up a nicer room? Outside? Parking ramp was plowed, but snow wasn't removed from the ramp making parking pretty tight. February 22, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Good location and value for the price This hotel is a pretty middle of the road Holiday Inn property. The rooms are a bit outdated, but you can't beat the location. Right on main street within walking distance to all of the bars and restaurants. Internet was a bit slow, but nothing too major. Staff were all very friendly. February 20, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love this hotel I love this hotel and we go there 2 times a year every year for the past 7+ years. Even though we are frequent visitors there is no special treatment for return visits. I have the priority club but it takes forever to get enough points to use them. They used to give free drink tickets and have stopped doing that and I believe the price of drinks has gone up too. I think that there should be some sort of price cut or something for loyal customers. The staff are all wonderful and we enjoy going there so the only complaint I have is that there isn't any kind of price break for regulars. Or is 2 times a year not regular enough? February 20, 2015
