We have been specifically choosing this hotel for 6 years. Have loved our visits. Lee and Pam at the front desk have been great! We always look forward to seeing them. They are personable and very welcoming.

Not stayed at this HI before but was well pleased with the experience room was excellent, reception clerk was a credit to the hotel. Bonuses for being a platinum priority club member were very good and welcome. Food and beverage both dinner and breakfast were very good value.
Well done for a job well done HI Dubuque

I miss the managers reception and complementry breakfast. While I was pleased with the drink tickets and the $10.00 that could be used for drinks or breakfast I missed the realaxating atmosphere of the reception and the ability to grab some breakfast and take it back to the room while I got ready for the day. It was one of the nice perks from being a Platnum memeber.

HI-Dubuque was a great location for our stay. The rooms were good, the housekeeping could have been a little better. Our room was full of stuff (we were there for a dog event), but our empty kleenex box was never changed (we had to ask for more), and we also had to ask for more shampoo/soap. The garbage can out by the parking lot (top floor) was never emptied during the 4 nights we were there, and was overflowing.

I travel through Dubuque a few times a year for work and this is the first time I have stayed at the Holiday Inn. It's got a good location and is easy to get to. Slightly older hotel but still in good shape. Good beer on tap in the bar and food available late is a nice perk. The beds and pillows were sleepable but not one of the best Holiday Inn beds I have experienced.

The only two negatives re: this hotel is the parking lot is VERY tight. It would also be nice if you were informed on the nice shuttle service as we paid for a cab to get back from the town.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn in Dubuque, Iowa for a wedding on October 26th and 27th. When we arrived we thought the lobby was nice, until we got to our room! The room was so cluttered with too much furniture that you had no room to put anything. The bathroom was worse! The whole faucet would pull out if you pulled on the handles a little. There wasn't even any towel bars to hang towels. We had to hang them on the hangers in the room. This whole weekend there was very uncomfortable! The staff was not very friendly. We were also told that they served food in the bar until 11:00. So after the wedding, we arrived at the hotel at 10:45. We wanted to order appetizers, but then they said they were no longer serving! What? We were told differently earlier. How long do appetizers take? Come on! So we had to order delivery pizza from Papa Johns which was disgusting. Sixty dollars worth! Guess the hotel did not see the need to make any money even though they were suppose to still serve food. Overall horrible experience! We have a wedding in Dubuque next June again, and there is no way we will ever stay there again. Probably one of the worst hotels, and customer service, that we have ever experienced. We usually enjoy staying at hotels. They need to take pointers from other Holiday Inns!

The hotel is very nice but the housekeeping was hardly ever done untill 6 till 7:30 at night some times just starting.

I stay in motels over 300 mnghts a year, and use a Corporate card but when in Dubuque it's gonna be here. You will accomodate my bad smoking habit, assist with my 5 o'clock beverage and provide me with dinner in the restaurant. I like that you are downtown ,close to things to do. On top of that The beds are awesome.
My compliments and 5 stars.

Enjoyed my visit and plan to return. The manager, Norm and his staff are accommodating and welcoming. It's warm and it feels more like family than other similar priced hotels.
