Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Need improve on elite member benefits Overall is a good stay. The executive room looks like to be recently renovated. So it is good. The disappointing part is lack of the recognition for the elite members. Just mentioning "thank you for being our Platinum member" during check in is clearly not enough. I didn't get any extra member benefits during the stay, not even one bottled water! I probably would not recommend this hotel to other Platinum members. March 21, 2014

I don't think their parents were watching them too closely as they were running through the halls, knocking on doors and turning the volume on the TVs all the way up. Only other complaint, I tried calling room service about 3 times but never got anyone to pick up. Other than that, it was not too bad of a place to be. March 18, 2014

This is a pre-paid stay due to technician having training in the area. This was the first time we have used the Hotel and hopefully service payment will become easier as we move forward. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Careful getting to the Airport We spent a Friday night at the Holiday Inn with reservations to park our car there for a week and ride their shuttle to/from Dulles Airport. Upon checking in, I asked if there was a sign-up sheet for the shuttle. No, just come down a few minutes before the half hour and we'll shittle you to Dulles. We had to park our car across the street. If you are traveling alone, you'll have to lug your luggage quite a ways from where you must park. The next morning we got to the lobby at 5:45. Another couple was already there waiting for the shuttle. When it arrived, scads more people showed up and pushed their way in front of us. We were left standing with our luggage with no more room in the van. The driver told us there would be another van in 5 minutes. We stood in the cold and waited for 15 minutes. I went in to inquire at the desk and was told that the next shuttle would be at 6:30. There were several vans full of people wating from the leftover 6:00 shuttle, plus those who had come down for the 6:30 shuttle. I complained and was told that they would call a taxi to take us to the airport, as now we were cutting it close. About 10 minutes later the taxi arrived and other people again pushed their way to it. We were left standing again. We finally got on the 7:00 shuttle. What is so difficult about creating a sign- up sheet to ensure your seat on the shuttle? Between that and the remote parking area, I will now choose a different hotel. March 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Too many faults for one stay We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. At the very first night we could not find any parking in the hotel's parking lot. When I asked the front desk what to do, I was directed to look for parking in any other hotel around. So I found parking in Sheraton. so pity we did not stay there. Second evening the wireless password did not work. The last day morning the electronic door key did not work, probably disabled, way before the checkout time. We were stuck outside in the parking lot and had to go around to the front desk to enable the key. I stayed in IHG hotels in many countries, and I had never experience so many troubles. IHG always provide excellent service at reasonable prices. Not this time... February 18, 2014

The staff is extremely accommodating, they know me by name and go out of their way to make sure I am comfortable. The food in O'Malleys is fantastic and they have a good variety to choose from. I have stayed in many of the rooms and have found them to be clean, comfortable and I can always count on getting a good night's rest. I would not stay anyplace else when traveling to the Dulles area. February 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff I use the hotel at the beginning and end of trips sometimes so I don't have to drive home in the dark. It is very comfortable and quiet and offers a good night's sleep. I didn't use the restaurant this trip so can't comment on it. I do feel that to be truly competitive they should offer an included breakfast which they do not!! The internet was good. The people behind the desk are always very friendly and helpful. I used my points for the night stay. However, since I am a platinum member of the Priority Club, I would prefer a free breakfast for the people in my room instead of 300 points . . January 8, 2014

I was able to book the room at this hotel for a very reasonable price and its location was perfect for us. The room was clean and comfortabale. My check in and check out experiences were without problem, very swift, and the room was ready at before the standard check in hour. I used the free Internet service and it was easily accessed with a password. All in all a very good stay. January 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Stay This Holiday Inn met my every need as I returned from a 17 hour day of flights and airports. I waited only a few minutes at the airport for the next free shuttle. I had two large suitcases and the desk staff greeted me and gave me a first floor room without my asking. The wireless worked well. The shower was welcome and relaxing after such a long day of travel. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were better than my pillows at home. After a good night's rest (even though it was New Year's Eve there was virtually no noise) I came into the lobby to find the shuttle just departing to IAD so I could pick up a rental car. I left with a smile on my face, well rested and ready to drive back home after a long holiday. January 4, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 No breakfast as advertised and stated at check-in Advertised in promotions and stated at check-in that there was a free, full, hot, buffet breakfast in The Chantilly Restaurant. On Christmas morning, we found a beautifully decorated and empty Chantilly restaurant. The person at the desk informed us that that the breakfast was in the foyer and it consisted of coffee, yogurt, fruit and stale pastries. There were 8 wooden formal chairs around two round formal tables. A young couple with two very young children had to hold the children and find something for them to eat. It would have been adequate, if we had been informed honestly up front that it was a minimal continental breakfast. There were no bagels, bread, butter or cereal. A poor showing for a nice place with a great pub attached to it. We chose if for the Pub and breakfast buffet. December 28, 2013

Hotel had extra bed put in our kingsize bed room for our granddaughter. We like Holiday Inn hotels and were pleased with this property - price was right for room and parking. Would stay here again. Those other occupants were not raucous but evidently the noise suppression qualities are not as good as in non-connected rooms. Other than that, we were totally satisfied, again, with the Holiday stay. The dining experience was exceptional! (O'Malley's Pub). November 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast and Salads My stay at Dulles HI was fantastic. I often visited O'Malleys and the food was good. Salad bowls of greens, vegetables tossed with assortment of meats. The Chefs Salad was at the top of my list. I also had Wings and a few other appetizers. The bar staff was very accommodating. Breakfast Buffett was even better! A fair assortment of dishes, fruits, grains and dairy items left me primed for the days events. The shuttle took me to and from local spots for variety. Rooms were nicely furnished and bathrooms spotless! One thing Dulles HI could improve upon would be the stuffiness or lack of moving air in the halls. A little Febrezze might help. They have a little bar/restaurant where I got a tasty chicken pot pie, probably homemade. I went out and wandered around the neighborhood; trees and grass but no commercial except for a few other hotels and office parks. Nice fall foliage. November 21, 2013

Rooms are clean, staff is helpful and hotel is conveniently located to the rink and surrounding attractions. I am not usually a big fan of Holiday Inns in general, but this one exceeded my expectations considerably. November 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Too much going on in the hotel I attended a church ladies retreat and stayed at this hotel. The location was good but I did not find the staff very friendly. There were 2 other large groups there so it felt crowded. Our meeting room was either hot or cold. The breakfast food was not good...cold sausage, eggs and hard danishes. My husband is a priority club member and we always stay at Holiday Inns but this was not my favorite. I will say the bed was comfortable. Also the room smelled like cigarettes and the ice machine had flooded the floor and wasn't cleaned up. November 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by nice people tired facility The carpet around my bed was incredibly sticky. I complained and it was wet when I returned, heat on to 82, but the stickiness was still there. At the same time no extra toilet paper and few towels. My teammate wanted to stay there for the pool which was much smaller than advertised. Horrible food - totally messed up on my allergies - twice! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value, great stay Impressive overall. Conferences are always twofold: a plethora of activities stuffed in between arrival and departure dates with little time to chill. And, unfortunately, accommodations are not always as good as they are advertised to be. However, for the past three years my stay at this location has been well worth the time and money. In the midst of a whirlwind, the comfort and quiet offered are priceless, so much so that I'm hoping next year to add an extra day just so I can take advantage of my time away from the mundane.
