Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 gurest room and front desk employees
The rooms were in good condition and clean. Nice view of the water front. Employee upgraded us with better room when we arrived and our room not available until later. Employees very helpful with instructions where to go and eat and how to get to the waterfront section of city.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by girlsfun Girls weekend
We were in Duluth for a short girls weekend at the end of September. The hotel was in a great location! We only took our car out once, otherwise left it in the ramp the whole weekend and walked everywhere.
The room was really clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had minimal dealings with the staff, but they were very friendly and helpful when we did.
Overall a great place to stay.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Keikerbeeker Nothing Special for the Price
This Holiday Inn does not offer a complimentary breakfast and should for the price of a room. The paid $9.99/person for the buffet and it was not good. The room is not anything special for the price they charge. We could hear the train and some street nose. If they charged about $100 less per night I think it would be more accurate.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not staying again Didn't receive what was quoted
When I made reservations I talked to a lady over the phone who I later learned was not at that hotel, but rather at a call center. I was quoted a rate for a room with 2 queen size beds. When I got there I was given a room with 2 double beds. When I questioned the desk they said that the reservation was for 2 doubles. I also booked a room with a king size bed. When I got the bill I learned I was charged more than I was quoted. When I checked my confirmation booking, I found that indeed I was booked for a room with 2 double beds and the king was more than I was verbally quoted. Unfortunately I had not thought I needed to actually view the confirmation notice before I got there so did not realize the lady did not book me for what she quoted me.
While there I was talking to someone in the elevator and he said the same thing happened to him. He was also quoted a room with 2 queen beds and got a room with 2 doubles.
When I got to my room I was thirsty and grabbed a glass to get a drink of water. The glass looked like something had been sitting in it for a very long time; it had a brown film in it. The person at the desk did apologize for that.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AHoliday Recent Stay
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn - Duluth. When I took a shower the drain did not work well. I ended up in mid-calf of water during the shower. I also noticed that there was a used washcloth hanging over the shower curtain. I was in one of the older rooms and maybe that was why the cleanliness was questionable and the tub not able to drain very well. I have stayed in some of the remodeled rooms and found them to be quite nice and comfortable. This last stay was a huge disappointment.

I was not impressed. Called ahead and asked for a king bed. The staff told me that would be no problem, but was given a double room on arrival. The room had stuff leftover in the fridge and dirty tub. Also, the sheets had stains. I booked this with reward points otherwise I can't imagine this hotel being worth 200 dollars a night.
