We have never been treated better. The room accomodations were lovely. The hotel well maintained and much of it newly renovated. Overall we had a fantastic experience and hope to return again.

The place was easy to find and wonderful to be in downtown Duluth. The room was great nice view comfortable and convenient. Late at night I did hear noises coming from the room next to me, I thought that their refrigerator was shaking and going to blow up or something then I heard some gasps and what sounded like a muffled scream, I got worried and thought about calling the desk when I realized that there were two people in that room and it was not the refrigerator at all but the sounds of something else, must have been watching the sisterhood of the traveling pants or something. The staff was wonderful and attentive, I left a note asking for extra shampoo but did not find it the next day, i think the housekeeping staff knew I was bald and gave away the hotel toiletries to my friends. They did leave some extra lotion which is nice for my dry skin. Thanks so much

We were there for a convention of about 800 people. There were only three elevators and only 8 people at a time could use them, It was very hard to get to where we needed to nbe. My daughter switched rooms to a two room suite and the childrens bathroom was very dirty, feces on shower curtain, urine on toilet and floor. I called and asked to have it cleaned they said someone would do it. The bathroom did not get cleaned for the rest of the weekend. On Saturday I was very disappointed that we had no choices in the hotel or center to eat at for dinner other than Sneakers. Everything closed by 1 pm. You would think with a convention of 800 they would have made a point of having some restaurants stay open.

Suite too small, bathroom was like an airplane bathroom, peeling paint, rust, hard bed and sofa amd pillows. Never again. However, staff was great.

The rooms clean but a bit old looking.
The staff was very friendly.
Can't comment on the food, I didn't try it.
Overall satisfied with my 1 day stay.

I always stay at this hotel because of the medical rates as we do our medical needs in Duluth, but as of lately the rates have gone up and the beds are more uncomfortable than the less expensive hotels. Since they do not offer a continental breakfast I think there is no reason to stay here anymore. I am so diappointed because the staff at the front desk are always so nice and accomodating, the service is wonderful but since the reason to go is to rest and sleep and that now is impossible because of the horrible beds, i might as well stay somewhere else.

Overall, I like this hotel. It was a tad annoying that there was construction going on in the room either next door or above us. We couldn't tell which one, we just heard a lot of drilling.

1) Bit off-putting to get off the elevator and the carpet is torn up, just concrete. No warning at the front desk.
2) In room heater made a loud click each time it turned on - all night long. Not good.
3) Elevators are SLOW! Took the stairs out of desperation.
4) Hate entering through a parking garage - not pleasant.
5) Food in restaurant expensive. $40.00 for 3 for breakfast - one of which was my 9 year old son.
6) Coffee kits had no stirrers. Had to call for help.

The arrival at the hotel was met with smiling cheery front desk staff. Very helpful attending to the details of our stay and prompt with the necessary registration.
A real pleasure to meet.
The room was nicely appointed and clean. Soundproofing was good as they were renovating in the floors above.
Highly recommend.

Great downtown Duluth location with access to the skywalk system. Walked straight to the DECC without having to put a jacket on. Room is a little dated, as is the pool, but comfortable and quiet. Rennovations are going on but did not disturb us. Overall a great value.

Frequently stay at this property and they typically provide a room in the same area which is wonderful. Last trip Dexter (food mgr.) and Shawn in sales went way out of their normal duties to be of assistance. No wonder I chose to stay here and drive 70 miles to work when up in that area.

Food and service usually good. This time it was not! Our waitress is in the wrong business and the manager did not care how bad the service was. Waitress spent most of her time talking on her phone...our food came out cold and it just got worse from there.

we have stayed here in the past and have been here the past 2 years in a row for the First Robotics competition. Great for not having to go outside in the cold and snow, just take the skyway system all the way to the DECC. Did not like that there was no fan in the bathroom and not enough electrical outlets in the room. Also the phone did not work to the front desk and our table in our room was unsteady and rocked when you leaned on it. The large light by the table also did not work. Aside from those few minor things it was a great weekend stay.

I stayed at this hotel while in Duluth for an event with my son. The room itself was OK but my two major complaints are there were not enough outlets to plug in our phones/electronics (we had to unplug the lamp and alarm clock) and the shower was probably the worst I've ever had. The water flow was barely a trickle and it didn't drain very well so after a couple of minutes I was up to my ankles in water.
However, it is connected to the DECC by skyway and the event my son was participating in was held there and being able to stay indoors, in early March in Duluth, was a plus.

The staff was exceptionally competent, helpful and very friendly. Room quality was excellent. I was facing Lake Superior which was a fantastic view to top it all off!
The Coffee Shop (The Greenery) and the lounge (Sneaker's) were great locations for a morning coffee or a evening of sports and talk. Both were very friendly and accommodating for special requests, within reason. Again, great staff!

This hotel is the best. Clean rooms (Kim took very good care of us there on the 14th floor!!), quiet, with great view of the harbor and beyond.
We like the Greenery for its Starbucks and super bakery items and sandwiches.
Parking is also convenient. And we can walk many place in the skywalk without going outside.
Don't miss the Holiday Inn Duluth downtown!

Our room had an amazingly beautiful view!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both the night lights and the morning sunrise were spectacular overlooking Lake Superior.

As a platinum member there were very few perks, no free breakfast coupon or drink coupon, just min. discunts. A very old room that was only average clean, just dismall restaurant, heater ran too often made room very hot, sorry but not a good experience. Would not stay there again and I travel often for business.

Overall, good value, staff was nice (especially the staff at Sneakers) We stayed in kids suite which was a great room for our family. The only issue was the cable in the kids side of the room did not work. Hotel staff came up and tried to fix, but they indicated by a call back later that it was an issue with the cable company. Not sure how it can be fine in one room, but the connected room next door does not work and it is because of the cable company???? Was not a huge issue as we were not there to watch TV and the kids played the Wi, but was more of an inconvienence at bed time for the kids.

We go to Duluth many times a year and will stay nowhere else! The staff are fantastic, courteous and helpful. The elevators are quite slow especially at checkout time. The building is looking tired but they are addressing that now, renovating rooms and interior. Love the location and the park and fly is great. The covered parking is nice especially in cold or raining weather. Thank you Holiday Inn Duluth!

We came to Duluth for a youth hockey tournament. The facilities are a little rundown. The workout room has 2 of the 5 cardio machines out of order. The elevators were very slow and parking is crazy. However, the staff was friendly and responsive. They did a great job of getting the teams in rooms near each other. Very accommodating. The room size was ample. Also the pools were perfect for the kids. So it was fine for a hockey tournament and would stay there again.

The hotel is currently being refurbished which is needed as the rooms are comfortable with all the normal facilities you would expect apart from tired decor. The restaurant attached to hotel is a Sports Bar but there are plenty of places in walking distance in town.

Great experience. Had a couple questions which were not answered on the web site, so called hotel directly. My questions were answered quickly and accurately, and they just went ahead and made reservation for me.
Upon check-in, staff helpful, courteous, and friendly, yet still business-like and professional.
There was a hockey tournament in town same time we were there. We were very afraid it would be a noisy night. But all was quiet and comfortable. Don't know if that's because of the hotel, or the fact that the boys were ragged out from hockey, but at any rate, it was a quiet comfortable night.
Good value and great location if you have business or pleasure in DLH.
