I was part of a group attending a Basic School class reunion on May 23-5. Two group meals were included in the cost of attending the reunion. The hotel failed to prepare eoough food on each occasion. The first one was a buffet of light resfreshments. I had to settle for peanuts and potato chips - no sandwiches were left. The second occasion was a sit down dinne served buffet style. I was one of the last people to go through the line and had to wait for the kitchen to hurry and prepare a substitute entre to replace the roast beef that we paid for. I also tried the buffet breakfast - once. It was impossible to get a second cup of coffee. That night I paid for a pasta buffet. I changed my mind but the desk clerk refused to refund my money citing an innane reason that the amount of food prepared was based onthe number of presold tickets to the buffet. So I settled for a $15.00 salad.
Needless to say it will be a cold day in hades when i next say at a Holiday Inn.

What a beautiful hotel. Being a Marine myself my wife and I really enjoyed the decore of the lobby and food area especially. Everything was very clean and we were taken care of by a staff of very friendly and efficient people.
We enjoyed our time in Dumfries very much and would return there in the future. We have been telling all our friends to stop there if in the area. Thank you!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn-Dumfries while attending my Son's Graduation and Commissioning ceremonies at MCB Quantico. I was treated very well by the staff. Check-in was painless, my room and facilities were clean and comfortable, dining facilities were clean and the food was Great !! Overall I had a pleasant expierence at this location. I would recommend this facility to those staying in the area for similar reasons. The road construction (I-95) did not pose a problem. Shopping and other dining facilities are close and ample.

Check-in was quick, pleasant and easy. The room was nice, clean, quiet and comfortable.
The bar and restaurant were severely understaffed. We waited 15 minutes for our first drink (and that was sitting at the bar). Breakfast was zero--we waited 45 minutes and never received our meal--and this is after five other guest parties who arrived after us were served. We place enough money on the table for the coffee and orange juice and walked out.
It's too bad, otherwise the hotel in a nice place to stay.

Debbie was amazing and helped my girlfriend and I during the check in process. She made sure my girlfriend would be able to check in during the early hours of the morning due to travel delays, even though I would not be there. This made our experience so much easier and relieved a lot of potential stress. She was also helpful during our stay and made us feel like family. I will continue to stay at this Holiday Inn and recommend it to anyone staying in the area. It is also the cleanest, most comfortable, and most accommodating hotel I have ever stayed in for the price range. Thanks again Debbie!

we have stayed here several times in the past but were very disappointed that the hotel no longer includes breakfast.
We always liked the fact that there was a restaurant on premises for dinner but this also seems to be very limited in selection and service. We will probably look for another hotel in the area

I spend a lot of time in the NCR and the Quantico area and have stayed at many other hotels before staying here over 18 months ago; I have never stayed at another location since in this area. The entire staff is wonderful, from the front desk, the waitstaff in the restaurant, to the housekeeping department-it is always a great stay. I appreciate their attention to detail and it is a nice touch to remember my name and welcome me back each time I am in town. The front desk and the waitstaff especially deserve some recognition. The girls in the restaurant don't mind me settling into a table with my computer for work/dinner combination and work really hard to make each guest comfortable. The front desk always works with me when reservations get cut short or need to be extended for business reasons and are eager to help me book my next stay-thank you all!
You won't regret your stay!
