My stay here was March 28th. I ran in the 17.75K race.
Hotel is located very close to one of the bus locations to the race venue. It was my primary reason for choosing this hotel.
After the race ended and I returned to the hotel. They had posted a welcome back message for the runners and stated the hotel breakfast service would be extended to 11:30. Great news it was just shy of 10:30..I was up at 5am and ran for 2.5hours. I needed some food.
The restaurant staff was unhappy of the extended hour. They seated me and my family outside of the dining area. After about 10-15 minutes they took my drink order. Several minutes later a couple of cups of orange juice appeared. Still no coffee. Still no ordering of breakfast.
Finally a waitress came over to take our order. Not really. She started to take it. Then mentioned she was upset of the extra work hour and had to talk to her manager. We left at that point to seek service elsewhere.
While I returned to the room to gather up coats, the waitress asked my wife if she wanted something for free. We wanted food and a nap at this point.

We were greeted enthusiastically each and every time we walked through the front door. I was made to feel that I was one of the few Platinum members in the USA. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Overall, our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby area and room was very clean and tidy. My only disappointment was the breakfast. The offering was limited, scrambled eggs, sausage only, bread but no toaster, pancakes were poorly cooked. Though it was free we chose to eat breakfast out our second day.
That being said, the important things I look for, cleanliness, friendly staff, and relaxing atmosphere, I give excellent grades.

Upon checking out, my husband and I were refused a military discount, although he is an active duty US Marine stationed at Marine Base Quantico, VA. We were told that the military rate was not available the day we had checked in, and therefore could not be applied to us. We were very taken aback by this, and were extremely disappointed. We have no plans to stay at a Holiday Inn in the future.

Reasonable rates. I wish the fireplace in the lobby worked. A continental complimentary breakfast would have been nice as well especially for reward members. .

The hotel was nice. The staff was very friendly. The only aspect that bothered me was that the server in the restaurant was also having to deliver room service and be the barkeep. The front desk clerk had to apologize to customers for why no one was there to take their order. I have never seen that. The server was awesome!

The staff went beyond what I had expected. I was surprised to find such a comfortable chair and ottoman when we stayed on the 23rd. However when I returned on the 27th I found no such thing. But, after calling the front desk and letting them no there was no clock radio or chair, I was not surprised when they sent up a radio immediately, but was really shocked when the next knock was staff with the chair and ottoman.
