Hot tub needs cleaning an to be hotter. Breakfast could be expanded.

The room was VERY POOR in cleanless from the start. I had old toe nails on the floor.
They were adaptable to cleaning my room late at night because I work the night shift. When they cleaned the room, they NEVER vaccumed or cleaned. Just changed sheets and towels and wipe down sink and mirror. Had to tip every time I wanted thorough clean of the room.
They were not keenly aware of theoir customer who were they for business only. I worked 12 hours shift and every week I had a family with multiple kids or sports teams adjacent to me.
Most amenties were under construction.
But...the front desk staff was amazing. Kind and curteous at all times.

I've mainly stayed at Holiday Inn Express, which are newer and/or recently updated. Holiday Inns, on the other hand, are: dated in appearance, and lack the 'clean' feeling that accompanies that notion.
Unfortunately this hotel has many areas to improve. During my current stay, I had to switch to 3 different. A recent rainstorm had soaked the carpet in the previous 2 rooms, under the window. As a person with asthma, this could have turned into a less than comfortable experience had I stayed all 5 nights. The hotel overall seems to be a throwback to the 70s. Carpet looks old and dingy, the bathrooms have caulking that is every color but white, shower walls are cracked, and the halls are less than brightly lit.
I will continue to stay at Holiday Inn Express'; but if back in Eau Claire, I will certainly stay elsewhere.

I visited there for visiting some institutions at the campus area. In general, the campus area is the headache place for the visitors during the weekend. But the location is very good especially for the visitors. There are some restaurants around this hotel and, of course the restaurant in this hotel is also good. It has the bar, too.
The breakfast is for the breakfast-included-reservation was very nice, too.

This hotel is basically a concrete bunker. When I made my reservation I asked for a king bed. Then, when I checked in the total for my one night stay was 10.00 more than the price quoted on the phone. The desk clerk told me that they charge 10.00 extra for a king-sized bed. One other disappointment is that there was no complimentary breakfast. The one redeeming quality was that the bed was very comfortable. This hotel does not live up to the quality that I expect from Holiday Inn.
