Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the location is good. I visited there for visiting some institutions at the campus area. In general, the campus area is the headache place for the visitors during the weekend. But the location is very good especially for the visitors. There are some restaurants around this hotel and, of course the restaurant in this hotel is also good. It has the bar, too. The breakfast is for the breakfast-included-reservation was very nice, too. March 30, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay at a Holiday Inn This hotel is basically a concrete bunker. When I made my reservation I asked for a king bed. Then, when I checked in the total for my one night stay was 10.00 more than the price quoted on the phone. The desk clerk told me that they charge 10.00 extra for a king-sized bed. One other disappointment is that there was no complimentary breakfast. The one redeeming quality was that the bed was very comfortable. This hotel does not live up to the quality that I expect from Holiday Inn. March 28, 2013

This was my first time traveling for my company and I was disappointed. I was looking forward to the hot tub room that I reserved on Wednesday of the week before I was to arrive. I went to my room and it was just a king sized room. No hot tub. When I went to the front desk they informed me that the room had been occupied since Sunday, 5 days AFTER I made my reservation. "We don't have an explanation for you!" was what I was told. I also had to point out that my Boss's credit card was still charged for the hot tub room. The charges were changed with no question. I was given a free breakfast for the troubles with the room. Glen was VERY helpful. He is definitely an asset to your Eau Claire location. March 19, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Reservations screwed up, loud, and dirty Had to cancel one of two nights due to weather. Called and cancelled one night and upon check in the following day, there was no record of me cancelling. They also had 5 rooms reserved for me and I didn't make reservations for 5 rooms. Hotel was very loud with hockey kids running around everywhere. I paid just as much money to sleep there and the staff did nothing to keep the noise down. My bathroom was gross. Lets just say it was very obvious the toilet hadn't been cleaned. My room smelt like matches. Won't stay again. March 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Experience Our room had the king bed and spa tub. The room itself was very nice. The king bed was very comfortable with many pillows of different firmness. The bathroom was small and a little dated. The hotel was overall very good. Missed breakfast at the attached restaurant because we did not know they did not serve breakfast all day. The restaurant and bar was very good the one evening we stayed here. January 15, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Needs Repairs and Updating The beds were very comfortable, but this hotel needs updating. Our bathroom door did not fit in the door frame and had split at the bottom hinge. The button for the shower had lost the knob, and you had to pry at it with your fingertips to get it to pop back out when you were done with your shower. Most of the room showed wear. The TV was newer, but it did not get all the channels the hotel listed on the channel guide. Despite a wall mounted thermostat, the room cycled between too hot and too cold all night. The door to the hallway must have been very thin since every single noise in the hallway was transmitted into our room like from a speaker. This was made worse by our being next to the stairwell. Between the wedding in the hotel and a large group of teenagers running loose, we were kept up late and woken early by the noise. The staff was very nice and welcoming, however, there was no recognition for us being Priority Club Members like we get from the Holiday Inn in Houghton, MI. Keep the Staff. Remodel the hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LOCATION AND COMFORT OK, NO BREAKFAST! I do a lot of traveling, and I'm used to spending time at hotels that give a breakfast along with the stay. In fact, all of the Holiday Inn Express hotels offer a great breakfast experience. I'd recommend the one in Chippewa Falls, it's only a few miles down the road! The breakfast here consisted of a stand up counter with packaged muffins, apples and bananas, and Kelloggs Health Bars. Kinda disappointing, considering the cost of the hotel is no less than others around that offer a great breakfast. I understand that they're attached to a Green Mill restaurant. But maybe they could offer a coupon or some kinda discount? October 15, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service Stayed here for 1 night only. We had booked the room online a ahort while before arriving but when we got to the hotel we were told the hotel was at capacity. Nevertheless, the staff helped us out and made sure they accomodated us even rewarding us for being Priortity customers with a chocolate bar each. The hotel has a pillow menu (firm or soft) which is a great idea however they are a tad on the small side. Also, the room had coffee but no tea. Overall a comfortable stay. October 15, 2012
