My husband and I stayed at this hotel because I needed to visit my doctor at the nearby Mayo Clinic (4 hours from where we live). We truly enjoyed our stay! The front desk staff was friendly, efficient and professional. We had already made dining plans, but we noticed that there was a beautiful restaurant attached to this hotel. We plan to dine there in the future. We also noticed a beautiful indoor pool and wished that we had brought our swimsuits to use it. The room was delightful -- clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The pillows were identified as either "hard" or "soft" which made it easy to pick the best fit for us. The linens were clean, with a lovely lightweight comforter to keep us cozy. The bath soap was wonderful, to the point where I wanted to ask where I could buy some for myself! I also noticed they provided luxury lotion, shampoo, and conditioner from a well-known bath and body store. The check-out process was smooth and uncomplicated. The location of the hotel is perfect -- right off of the highway and near many restaurants and a great shopping center. We will likely be returning to Eau Claire to see my doctor again. When we do, we will definitely return to this hotel.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Packaging Tech Nice new hotel but not sure I would return.
Just returned from a two week stay at the new Eau Claire HI. The hotel is brand new and has a nice restaurant. The stay was enjoyable overall but I felt the hotel rates were complicated and overpriced. I had reserved for two weeks using AAA but I found it very odd that almost every night, the rate seemed to change. There was no discount for the extended stay either.
If you are an elite member, don't expect any special treatment. As a Platinum member, I am used to getting breakfast vouchers but none were offered here. I asked but was refused. They have a breakfast buffet for $8.99 but I chose cereal in the room instead.
I just don't feel that this hotel is a good value compared to other similar Holiday Inns or competitor hotels that I have recently visited. I probably would chose to stay somewhere else next time.
