Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, good service and convenient for local attractions I am staying at this hotel for a long time in connection with work. So far I am impressed with the service and comfort of my stay. This is a good hotel with very attentive staff and the rooms are very comfortable. Any of the rooms at the front of the hotel are quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the coming and goings of coach parties and the sounds of the next door zoo although personally the sound of the Gibbon dawn chorus makes a wonderful alarm clock! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean hotel and comfortable bed We have stayed in this hotel about 10 times now and can never fault it . We love to park the car and just use buses. Love the breakfast in the morning . Can't fault the service . My son loves it . We will be back . One day we will get a front facing room :) October 1, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hotel stay We stayed in room 414 the room looked tired. the bathroom was small but ok the silver fish we did not appreciate Characterised by a silvery-blue colour, tiny scales and wiggling movements resembling that of a fish. You need to do something about this We had room service on the Friday night fish and chips with rustic chips not rustic just bog standard frozen chips. I am a chef to trade and have worked in the industry for forty years. If you say its rustic make it rustic. Your saving grace is your staff and a good breakfast September 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Car Parking Problems On returning to the hotel, by car, at 1300 on the Saturday, there were no parking spaces at all in either part of the car park, the attached Zoo car park was closed as it was also completely full and there is effectively no on street parking within sight of the hotel. The staff could not help (as there was no where they could offer), so it does rather raise the stress level! September 30, 2015

The hotel caters for everyone and the location is fantastic whether for Edinburgh Zoo of travel into the city and surrounding area's, a very friendly experience overall and one which I will do again September 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Executive upgrade When I booked I ticked the options to upgrade if available and ended up in an executive room. There was a slight delay at check-in as the room was still being cleaned at 2.30pm, I had forgotten that you do offer late check out, and I can't remember if I had specified a time of arrival when I booked or not. The room was massive with a safe and small fridge and large shower head. Clear views of the Pentlands and Edinburgh. I think they must have been busy the first night as the first time I called room service the call wasn't answered, tried again 5 minutes later and got through. The first night I ordered the chicken burger which was a tad on the cold side, so the second night I stuck to the fish and chip were just a good as I had had on previous visits. All staff were helpful & friendly. I could not get the Wifi to work on my phone of tablet but didn't phone the help line just used my own Wifi instead. September 19, 2015
